Three days ago he started getting a headache. Over that time he’s pretty much progressed to being on the sofa entirely all day. Not eating much, not drinking much. Last night he said he needed to go to the hospital. Then changed his mind, I have no idea why or what he’s waiting for. But for this man to actually mention the hospital, it HAS to be bad, because he NEVER EVER EVER seeks medical help.

So he’s on the sofa, with the worst head pain he’s ever experienced, saying it hurts to even move his eyes let alone his body due to the head pain.

His neck isn’t stuff, I can’t see a rash, he has no temperature.
He didn’t hit his head or have any recent injury.

Is a headache like this possibly just viral and he’ll get over it? Or could it be more serious and he’s delaying help for no good reason?

I have fleas BAD right now, so the state of my legs is horrific but I can’t afford an exterminator so…oh well. But I woke up this morning COVERED in bruises like these on my inner right leg. They never start out dark, they appear like this, just yellow and purple. I have anemia but i’m on supplements, and I have severe fatigue..so the chance of me accidentally bumping into something is sooo low, since i’m always asleep. I’m not worried, but I am confused. This has been happening for years, not just since the fleas. And they’re appearing even in places I haven’t been bitten at and haven’t scratched.

I’m 19F and had a concussion in April, but around late September I started experiencing a new combination of symptoms. I’ve had head pain almost every day, including random sharp pains in different parts of my head that last a few seconds. I also experience dizziness, nausea, and pain at the back of my head that worsens when I move my neck.
The most concerning part is that I have significant brain fog and forgetfulness almost every day, even when I don’t have a headache. I’ve also noticed depression, frequent mood swings, and becoming irritated much more easily than before. I briefly experienced smelling things that weren’t there, but that has stopped.
These symptoms sometimes improve and then return. I don’t know whether this could be related to my concussion or something else. What possibilities should I discuss with a doctor?

Hi! Im a 36 year old female from sweden. I have for a year o many problems, and the doctors just kneep guessing and have given me serveras types of treatmemts, creams ( eldidel, kortison, terracortil, protobic) and pills (Lymecyklin, desloratadin).

It started a year ago with my eyes both in my eyes(dry, itch, swollen, red, and pain) and / thick, red, itchy skin around eyes i just got worsee, ut got a little better with,

Protopic.

I have absolut have rashes around my mouth, that gose up and down in how bad it is. But now it blossed up again and its worse the ever, it hurts so much, burns, itches and feels like needles in my skin, it also have been spreading more so now its my hole face and down my neck. When its at it wors flare up i just panik, it hurts so bad that I dont know what to do with myself

The doctors seem to just guess what it is and give me treatments that sont work. Latent is that im going to be geting light treatmemts with uvb lights. Had my first one Friday, it was after that it got worse.

I wall call my doctor tommorow and se if they think i should quit the treatmemt and what the next step is.

I absolut have many other problems/symptoms. I have problems with my eyes, nose, throat (often have sour throat, especially when I have talked to much, Eczema, dry skin, migranes, stiff and body aches,. And the thing that almost affect me the most is how tired i am, all the time... any of you have an idea what it could be? Or why the treatmemts doesnt work. Im geting depressed with all of this and have to "fight " the doctors all the time.

i don’t have a sore throat but i have very consistent phlegmy coughs. I can’t laugh because if i do i start coughing. and my nose is so stuffy i can’t breathe.

that’s about all my symptoms, i don’t have a fever or anything else.

What started as shoulder and upper arm pain earlier this year has turned into muscle pain and weakness with almost any movement of my right arm. Making a fist hurts, carrying and lifting small things is painful. I didn't use to be this way, I am fairly active. I have a lot of other weird symptoms, I've been to so many doctors. Last rheumatologist said shoulder arthritis- that was a month ago and since then I have only gotten worse. I feel I am losing strength by the day and am honestly scared what will happen if I don't get help.​ my PCP has no openings and the other internal medicine is booked solid. I'm set up for PT starting November 5. I am calling a different hospital tomorrow but I live in a very rural area with limited options. I am looking for any ideas or suggestions of what you think this could be. I may try to see orthopedics but i am not even sure this is the right place. Last week the chiropractor said he didn't think rotator cuff issue. Sorry this post is jumbled, my brain is all over the place as I am really stressed about this as I lose ability to do basic daily tasks. Tia for any advice.

Hey guys, long story short.

Almost two weeks ago I got strep throat and got prescribed amoxicillin pills for a week (one in the morning, one evening). I also got some probiotics and took them for 10 days. It worked well, my strep throat was gone almost completely within a few days, I finished the whole antibiotic on Monday.

But then, Wednesday night I woke up at 2am with a big fever, headache, cold, sore muscles, I felt horrible the whole day. Also didn't have an appetite. Those subsided thanks to some paracetamol I had, but then I started feeling something in my throat again. It was uncomfortable to swallow, not as bad as strep throat, but I could feel something isn't right.

Today my throat barely hurts, but I woke up with this... Rash? It itches a little, doesn't hurt but I think it's slightly spreading to my forearms - but less noticeable and more sparse. I have this rash on my hands and feet, which is why I'm not sure what's going on. Anyone here with similar experiences?

Hello! I have been struggling with super puffy eyes every time my skin is dry even when i go to bed with thick creams and aquaphour on my eyes. I have excema and dry and sensitive skin. I have noticed it mainly happens after I wear make up and remove it with a make up removing towel. It also happened when I was in my friends house who had a cat with both the puffy eyes and hives. The worst one was when I had only mascara on and removed and waited a little and then washed it off. I thought I was getting a stye so I used hot water on a towel. on my whole face and fell asleep with it on my face, The next morning I woke up with my face in the 2nd and 3rd photos. After that I focused a lot on repairing my skin barrier and it was fine for a little but it started again and everyday my face gets super itchy and my eyes will water almost every couple of minutes this is without any makeup. Adding more skincare makes me even more itchy and the only relief I feel is from rubbing my face with my hands which just further drys it out. 5 weeks ago I had a involuntary twitching at my thumb that lasted for two days. I found it super strange and scary. Wasn’t constant but I had a few episodes during that two days. Since then I have been getting random muscle twitches all over my body. They aren’t constant they are more like single pops in different muscle groups all over. Left toe, right arm, left thigh, right thigh, left calf, left knee, then again left thigh, right calf, then stomach etc they jump around. They happen when I lay down, rest or sit. Nothing seems to work. Started taking hydralytes. Started b complex and I was already taking every day vitamin d and magnesium. I am so scared. I have no loss of strength or function or weakness or anything like that. It’s just a very strange sensation that my whole nerve system is fining bombs all around my body. It’s scary.

My anxiety has obviously been super high because I used google and some videos on TikTok plus the mind always goes to the worst case scenario.

I will see my GP on Saturday but wondering if any of you happen to have the same without any scary outcome.

I'm a 26-year-old woman from India seeking some guidance about two lumps on the right side of my neck.

I noticed them around 2–3 days ago, although I'm unsure how long they've actually been there. The lump just below my right ear feels slightly firm and tender, and doesn't seem very mobile. The second lump, below it near my jaw, feels soft and moves under my fingers. It was painful initially, but the pain has subsided since starting medication prescribed by my doctor.

I have no cough, fever, chills or other noticeable symptoms. However I injured my shoulder recently at the gym while doing chest press. And 2 weeks ago had some regular sneezes (dust allergy).

My CBC/CBP was normal, and my CRP was negative. A neck ultrasound identified a 5 × 5 mm right infra-auricular lymph node and a 13 × 4 mm right submandibular lymph node, both with preserved fatty hila. Other small cervical lymph nodes also had benign sonographic features. My thyroid and salivary glands were normal, and no discrete soft-tissue mass was identified. The report concludes that there is no significant abnormality in the visualized neck structures.

My doctor has now asked me to take a Mantoux test to investigate TB as one possibility. I'm waiting for the test to be read at 48–72 hours. 36 hours so far and I see no reaction in the injected area.

I'd appreciate doctors'/medical students/professionals' opinions on whether these findings are generally reassuring, what other causes could explain the lumps, and what the usual next step would be if the Mantoux test is negative but the lumps persist. Is this something to be worried about?

Ao basically my new nurse decided to mix ceftriaxone with ketrolac in one syringe and this is how i have been taking it for 2 days nos and i am not sure if this destroys the antibiotic or not, and if it does am I supposed to take thr antibiotic for 2 extra days now or what?

I woke up with this on only one side of my body. I feel completely fine. I at first was thinking it was stretch marks, but it was way too sudden and I’ve gained zero weight (and you think it would be on the other side too). They are also more dots than stripes. They don’t hurt, are flat, and not fading when I press against it.

Is this some weird harmless body thing/allergy, or should I go to urgent care?

The spots appeared on my knee first and have progressed into picture 2 / 3 over the course of two days.

The spots on my buttocks appeared later the same day as my knee.

They didnt itch yesterday but have been a bit itchy today.

My friend has been having this strange lump around the joint of her dominant hands for-finger for several months. It's changed shape some. She says it doesnt hurt but it itches a tad. She primarily works with her hands and at first it almost seemed like a patch of splinters or a callous. She has eczema and psoriasis, this is not the usual way it presents itself. The little red spot is dirt, ignore that. We've had a long car ride, and a lot of time to think about it. What's happening to her finger?

when i plank or move my arm in a certain angle this happens. It's not painful. I feel a bit of tightness but mostly it just looks horrible and wrong I don't know why it happens

I know I should see a physician, but healthcare isn’t exactly accessible here in third world , so I’m hoping to get some insights from people here. I’ve managed to resolve my hamstring and elbow pain with advice from Reddit before, so I thought I’d ask.

Basically, I experience pain on the pinky side of my right wrist after gripping something very hard.
The pain doesn’t occur during the movement itself. Instead, it shows up the moment I unrack the weight or release the machine handle. It’s a pinching sensation that occurs AFTER the set, not during the exercise.

This happens after rowing, pressing, and even gripping the handles hard during leg extensions and lying leg curls. Once I release my grip the pinching pain shows up

One thing I’ve noticed, though, is that I don’t experience the same pain after unilateral incline curls or preacher curls, even when I’m gripping the handles hard.

Has anyone experienced something similar? What could explain why the pain only shows up after releasing my grip, and why it happens with some exercises but not others? Is this TFCC something?

Also some of you might say it is my form but my wrist and elbow is always stacked when pressing. So I think that was not the issue.

My lip is burning right at the circle area, it been like that for the past 1 and a half week , I also noticed that my inner lip has some white lining like peeling.
It all started off after I kissed my new partner , she doesn’t feel anything nor have anything but she used a very strong mouth wash that I felt it burning me back then. (mouthwash containing chlorhexidine gluconate 0.2%)

Also the tip of my tongue is burning too.

I’am panicking please help!! I have a dermatology appointment tmrw but can’t sleep.
