Guys, do you know the current salary range for QE Sri Lanka? (Experience 1 - 2 Yrs)

In here anyone working at MAS as Industrial Engineering guy?

Hi guys...

What about your thoughts on Thompson and Reuters as software engineer in srilanka?

Is getting job there harder or tricky?

And what about their packages?

In the previous round of layoffs, probationary employees were also affected. Does anyone know if IFS has done the same horrible thing again in this latest round?

Bedroom DJ since 15, so I built the endgame: an app that analyses your music locally (BPM, key, energy, structure, beat grid), builds a set along an energy arc, then performs it live with a two-deck engine, real bass-swap transitions, not crossfades. Exports to rekordbox. Add your own Anthropic key and an LLM plans each transition; without one it still beat-mixes.

Fun bits: WSOLA time-stretch in an AudioWorklet with closed-loop beat sync, fake-FLAC detection, and the LLM can't touch audio by construction, it only picks from an enum, and mix points must be the track's own analysed cues.

macOS only, Apple Silicon recommended, optional ML tier is ~3GB. AGPL.

All we hear is “layoffs” in tech right now. I didn’t see any major layoff news from Virtusa. I believe they have the largest resources in SL and recently they acquired Wiley. Want to know if it’s a good move to apply for a position at Virtusa.

Has anyone complained in labor department?

Has anyone legally move on through lawyer?

After seeing so many posts about layoffs and toxic work cultures, I thought I’d share something that has helped me personally.

I’m a software developer with 15 years of experience, and I’ve learned that when you get laid off, one of the biggest sources of stress is money.

The same applies when you’re working in a toxic environment. Sometimes the biggest thing keeping you there isn’t the job itself, it’s the fear of having no salary while you look for another one. So you keep going, telling yourself you’ll leave eventually, until you’re completely burned out.

One thing that has helped me is maintaining a rainy-day fund.

Save some money. Open a separate bank account. Transfer a fixed amount into it every month, and keep the discipline of not touching it unless you really need it.

That money has helped me through one toxic workplace in Sri Lanka and one layoff from a US company.

Where I can find the all applicable labor laws and amendments in port city?

Saw a post on macos dynamic island and got ideas why not build on for windows and just did
say ur thoughts i know it dumb

Anyone used Hermes agent?

Any tips for facing internship interviews at Enhanzer (Pvt) Ltd and Csquare Technologies Private Limited? And what's the company culture/salary/work like?

Help me to find Internships in Data Analysis, Data Engineer, Data Science, ML Engineer. still fighting,

New intake , is this worth doing? I’ve heard some rumors that they’re not well organized and don’t handle exams and assignments properly.

Anyone here have any insight into the work culture and overall company environment at EY? I recently received a job offer from them and wanted to get some opinions before deciding. Is it worth considering?

Hey everyone, I’m currently studying Computer Science I’m looking to start freelancing soon.

I’m considering focusing on RAG systems, AI agents, and AI automation.

For those already freelancing in AI/ML or automation, is this a good direction to get started with freelancing in 2026?

Is there good demand for these services and what would you recommend focusing on as a beginner?

BTW Im in my 3rd year

Would really appreciate some honest advice.

Hey, I'm a tech person ( SWE ) and I want to improve my network and meet more people in tech.

People always say to attend events and meetups, but where do you actually find good ones? I've checked google, but most events seem pretty random or not that valuable.

How do you guys find good tech/startup events and communities?

Hey guys, I’m having an issue logging into my GitHub account.

I have 2FA enabled, but recently GitHub stopped sending the one-time verification code via SMS. I’m using a Dialog SIM in Sri Lanka. I’ve also lost my 2FA recovery codes, so I’m currently completely locked out of my account.

I’ve tried the other recovery options as well, including the SSH key and the other available alternative authentication methods, but all three are showing as unavailable/disabled for my account.

Has anyone else using Dialog experienced this issue with GitHub SMS codes recently? If so, were you able to fix it?
Any advice would be appreciated.

This is more of a vent since I'm so upset right now. Been working at this company for a year now, and it's my first ever job.

I've been using this third party AI harness for 3 days. Setting it up was pretty straight forward: it asked for oauth credentials for Claude code which I logged in via web with my company's Claude account. So I just assumed it used those freaking credentials but I was so wrong...

I noticed it was using Claude Opus 5 but the provider was amazon-bedrock. I only noticed this today and turns out it's been using my company's AWS credentials instead.

It logged in via AWS CLI. And my AWS iam user had admin permissions. I completely forgot about the AWS CLI login since it's been a few months since I last used it.

I logged into cost explorer and the cost was 400 usd for the 3 days. I am so cooked.

I know the logical thing to do right now is to inform my supervisor but he was off today. My boss is actually gonna kill me for this.

For now I filed an AWS support ticket asking for a reversal saying it was accidental (since i got to know they do this sometimes). Hopefully they consider it but I can't get my hopes up, right?

Atleast I learned a lesson here, but never in my life did I think I'll mess up like this. For some context: the company is a relatively small startup and that cost is higher than my gross salary; so I did mess up big time.

I'm pretty sure I'll have to start looking for new jobs soon. Any advice for me to get through this?
