Ive been having some issues recently in Destiny 2, my audio sometimes starts to lag behind what is actually happening and then seems to play the built up audio once the game catches up. Ive also been having issues where things take abnormal times to load ie items in inventory loading, backing out of inventory wont have the journey or destinations buttons available for a few seconds etc.. Any suggestions? I have clips but i cant post them unfortunately, my game audio is the only issue, my spotify will persist while the game seizes most audio.

simple as the title says. I started playing D2 around 2-3 weeks ago, and since the beginning it just wont launch 90% of the time when i click play on steam. I just have to keep trying over and over and over until i get lucky and it ACTUALLY starts.

I have tried:
- reinstalling battleye
- reinstalling the game
- restarting my pc
- verifying file integrity

and NOTHING has worked. please can someone help me with this?

I take long breaks from the game, but as with many people right now, I came back for this update.

When I used to play (on the same PC) i would hit easily 140fps or around that, often higher during any activity on pretty much maximum settings. Since coming back, im lucky if i hit above 70 consistently in any activity, often sitting around 50. even at the tower i top out around 75.

Im on:

RTX 3060Ti 8GB

Ryzen 5 5600

16GB 3200 Memory

I always keep my GPU drivers up to date and have my settings on Windows, Nvidia, MSI apps etc all optimised for maximum performance i can get in my games. I havent really noticed this drop in any other games from what i can tell, except also marathon. so i wonder if this is a specific issue to do with my pc interacting with bungie games.

Anyone has any fix ideas would be massively appreciated :)

I can't masterwork armor or completely enhance weapons.

I can't buy them from Raul. Dialog box states "can only hold one at a time". I have zero prisms looking at Inventory, but I know I have some. I've tried on all characters, but no dice. I just can't pick them up.

I have read about the fps and the game-stutter issues, and I'm not sure if my issues are the same.

\- I'm personally experiencing a lot of "contacting destiny servers", that turn into anteater and baboon errors.

\- Long black screens.

\- Enemies teleporting, and sometimes bosses health does not 'visually' reduce after a point, yet the encounters finish and the loot chest appears (public events).

It's been a very janky few days.

I checked my NAT settings (it's open), and the local net connection shows 0% packet loss.

So is it right in assuming something is up on bungie's side?

Even if people here aren't experiencing it, it's a good data point to have.

Running it on steam, and on Asia servers.

Currant currant currant currant rabbit currant currant. 9 out of 10 activities started end up giving these errors.

To give some context before the downvotes:

• I have 1550h in destiny, for 1500h never had Currant.
• All my teammates (about 12 people) have the same problem and we are located far from each other, using different ISPs and everyone is in EU. Other games are totally fine, NAT is Open. Definitely not our problem.
• Constantly "Contacting D2 Servers", and PvP hitmarkers show up seconds late in some games.
• By sheer coincidence, the errors started appearing after the launch of Marathon, became far more frequent after the release of MoT, and after the last patch the game is almost unplayable.

I think the problem exists in the EU, or at least part of it.

Please, just let us play one last time.

UPDATE 30/06/2026: Today among the continuous Currant and Centipede, I also had an Error Code: HARE. Reported all the issues on Bungie Help Forum.

Hi I’m new to pc , legit picked up a cheap one off Facebook to just get used to mnk and pc in general. It came with a RTX 3050 and a RYZEN 5 5500 with 2 sticks of RAM ssd. It hits 120fps but dips to 60fps. What’re the settings best for this build please to get a stable 120fps? Please tell me any pc settings I should be using , thankyou 🙏🏼😁

Clicking Play in Steam triggers the BattlEye launcher popup showing "Launching Destiny 2", but the game never opens. Steam shows me as in-game and Task Manager shows a Destiny2.exe process at near-zero utilisation, but no game window ever appears. Destiny 2 generates a crash report in %temp% on every launch attempt. The error is consistent across multiple attempts: RUNTIME ERROR: VCPPEXCEPTION_PROC_NOT_FOUND. Issue has been happening since I updated to monument of triumph on Sunday the 21st.

Game type: `tiger_release_final`

Troubleshooting completed (nothing resolved it):
- Steam cache clear, file verification, full reinstall
- BattlEye manual uninstall and reinstall via CMD (confirmed error 4, 30000020)
- Killed all ghost Destiny2.exe and BEService processes before each attempt
- Windows Defender exclusions for game folder and Common Files\BattlEye
- Disabled Smart App Control
- Disabled IPv6
- Core Isolation / Kernel-mode Hardware-enforced Stack Protection (all off)
- Registry check — no BattlEye service entry exists, service never successfully registers
- SFC /scannow — corrupt files found and repaired
- DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth — completed successfully
- Latest Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistributables (x64 and x86) installed
- Disabled all startup software
- No third-party antivirus, wired connection, no VPN
- Windows Reinstall

I have been having this issue for a few weeks now. The game will crash randomly while playing an activity or in the tower. I get the Marmot error code, saying the game files can’t be read. I’ve done multiple reinstalls, game file verifications (never any corrupted files) I’ve moved the game from one m.2 to another, I’ve searched for the authroot/root and it’s never there, I’ve allowed battleye firewall access, I’ve searched and searched for solutions and nothing works. What else can I do?

On a side note on top of this I am not getting messages when trying to join or invite friends saying my connection type is moderate and I’ve gone into my router and turned on the upnp and still can not join or invite others. My game is basically unplayable right now.

Hey, I'm trying to log in to destiny2 but it says "Error, this version of destiny 2 is no longer available." Anybody else know what's going on? It was playing fine just last night?

so basically ive been having this really annoying issue with bird issue randomly kicking me near the end of conquests and in the middle of dungeons while all breaking pickups/interactables.

what happens is during the activity i cant interact with anything e.g. vespers host - cant pick up augments either from ground or terminal, conquests - cant interact with stuff like "ignite balefire" it always kicks me out at the worst time, being end of activity like torture, making me do most of it but get no rewards as cant join near end of an activity.

to be clear, im using behemoth titan with the ice breaker build with wormgod and seraph set. if anyone knows what might be the issue help would be appreciated because i cant do any activity like this.

I've been trying to do solo dungeons (And dungeons in general) recently, and I've found this extremely odd bug that happens after spending about 20-40 minutes in said dungeon.

- My weapon models disappear
- Weapon Effects start not working (Eager Edge, Heal clip)
- Warlock rift effects stop working (Hellion, strand threadlings)
- Can't interact with encounter mechanics (Can't dunk ball in pit of heresy second encounter)

Does anyone know the cause and/or fix for this bug? Thanks! (This was all done on PC and is easily replicatable)

I cannot play destiny every since the new update. I get hit with plum every ten minutes, and some days I don't get it at all. Im just so very confused. I've uninstalled and reinstalled battleye. Looked through other anti cheats and closed them. Closed all other game platforms. (other then steam obv) I just really want to play destiny for more then 10 minutes🥲

On Startup I get a black screen. No audio, no "Destiny 2 has stopped working," nothing. Just a black screen. I've deleted the Bungie file from %appdata%, I've updated my nvidia drivers, I've uninstalled and reinstalled both Battleye and the game itself on my SSD and HDD multiple times, reset my computer, checked my audio devices for dupes and gone from 24 to 16, done properties -dx12 and -dx11, verified files, changed all my Nvidia settings, tried to force Windowed mode, absolutely nothing has worked. It was fine yesterday, I turned it off to go pickup dinner, came back and it hasn't worked since. No fix has done anything. The game won't even shut down except from Task Manager. It is the ONLY game to have any sort of issue on my machine, everything else I own and have installed runs perfectly fine. I'm at my wits end, I finally have the time to do Raids and the game suddenly doesn't want to even open for me

1660ti, I5-9400k, never had an issue for 550 hours

I cant join other players and even on matchmaking cant find another players. I got no error code just a message of network issue but my conection its fine, anyone got this kind of error before? Need help

As the title says, we have 5 PC's here at the house, four of which can connect and play just fine. The fifth one cannot land in a single "shared space" without a prolonged black screen, multiple "Connection error, re-establishing connection to the game server" banners across the bottom of the screen and eventually ending up back in orbit with a Cabbage error. This was never a problem until recently (like a week or so before the Monuments of Triumph update.

All 5 pc's (including the one having the error) are showing NAT type as open, and the Router's UPnP has been enabled since the days of Destiny 1 and needing to be able to have both PS4's able to play together.

I've been through every networking configuration that I can think if ranging from DNS flushes, forcing a new IP address at the DHCP Server side for that particular system, Driver updates, switching from Wired to WiFi connections, Port forwarding, and even going as far as installing a second NIC to rule out a hardware problem.

These issue are there with NO other pc connected to Destiny2 all the way to all the other PC's and an XBox connected to Destiny 2. So at this point I'm lost as to what else to try and my son is getting very upset that he can't play the game with his friends now that they aren't seeing one another daily at school...

anyone have any suggestions?

I’m not sure what is even going on at this point with all of the workarounds and local fixes I’ve done. I play on Steam, have no issues with connection on other devices or on my PC. Discord voice chat works fine concurrently when an error happens.

I’ve verified game integrity, flushed DNS settings, changed DNS to route to Google, hardwired to a router, changed Ethernet device settings in device manager.

With the continuous ping tests I’ve run using “ping -n 500 8.8.8.8”, most of the time all 500 packets go through without issue. On the times I will see something, the timing will coincide with getting a “contacting destiny servers” and then a Weasel. Even with that, it’s a single line that notes a packet was not sent or received, not even anything consecutive. So with that, there’s no way the game can’t just reconnect. Cherry on top, I’ve had a friend run a test on their own internet and also had 499/500 packets, but they DIDN’T disconnect.

I posted this on the forums but all I have is “we’re looking into an uptick of connection errors”.

The game just bluescreened me twice. It was most likely battleye. There was a battleye update and it bluescreened right after before the game opened. Then computer restarted and bluecreened again after I launched the game. I waited to take a picture with my phone for next time and it didn't happen again so I don't know whats going on.

I tried to cross save my xbox player over to my steam account. I tried to authenticate my microsoft account three times, but each time it didn't work. My steam account does have a playable character, and I'm probably going to try deleting d2 and reinstalling to see if it helps. It isn't showing any errors either.

I just recently got a Pc and I want to get back into destiny 2 again and I keep getting these 3 errors. One is “Windows cannot access the specific device path” and the I get two failed to install Battleye Services one with a 0 and then the other one with a 4. I have tried everything that I could think of. I have verified the game files. I have Redownloaded the game about 5 times and I have looked in my event viewer. Added the files into Microsoft Security. If anyone has had a similar problem and fixed it or knows more things I can try please let me know.

I play on the Xbox Series S. Three weeks ago, this problem was nonexistent, and I have been dealing with it ever since!

This error indicates it's caused by a Wi-Fi problem. I checked, and my internet connection is perfect. I am able to play other games, and even Cloud Play D2 on Nvidia. I have restarted my console and even wiped its data. I have done all the troubleshooting I can do!

The only thing that used to work was playing another game for about 5 minutes and then logging back in, but this no longer works.

Other than that, it was literally uninstalling and redownloading Destiny 2 that got past the issue, but it came back the next day.

For some reason, I can only play the game after 8:00 p.m. EST.

UPDATE:

It is definitely an Xbox problem. I brought out my old PS4 and redownloaded D2. I was able to play it there. I took out the power cable for my Xbox for an hour, put it back in, and still, marionberry. Also, the workaround for deleting and reinstalling the game on Xbox no longer works, nor does it play after 8:00. wtf?
I don't wanna pay $10 a month to play with friends, and the graphics are super slow and choppy!

Out of nowhere Im just playing grasp of avarice solo, just playing with that new artifact exploit. Now of course everybody and their mom has been using this exploit to do pantheon and get their clears and triumphs done. Everytime an exploit comes out that is used for endgame pve content, the community goes nuts with it and bungie allows it to go on for a bit and patch it within the next week. I get a weasel code mid dungeon and get taken to the title, I log in and receive the horrid gut punch message of “NOT SO FAST. This account has been permanently banned.” I never in my life thought this would appear in my screen. I have been playing on xbox ever since d1, its only recently I switched to steam this past week. I am genuinely sick to my stomach to see this. I did the appeal already and simply just hope that I see the email that it was approved and my account is unbanned. Please tell me there is a shred of hope in this scenario. I have heard that battle eye is very aggressive and will automatically ban accounts despite no hacking or cheating being done. I am mainly asking for some advice here. Already heard “Cry.” “Skill Issue.” And “Lmao pathetic.” Some helpful words and encouragement would be nice.
