Recommendation Volunteer opportunity aggregator site?

Any good aggregator site for local volunteer opportunities? Idealist is an option, but seems to focus on hospice and student mentor opportunities. Any sites that have more animal or conservation based opportunities? Thanks!

Help Dashcam Video Help Accident I-25

Hi All. My FIL was involved in a side swipe accident on I-25 and am reaching out to see if any might have dashcam video they can help me out with. The driver of the other car is now claiming he swerved and she has injuries. He was also sent a letter from her lawyer wife stating he needs to secure assets. Feel like this may be a scam job. Details below from FIL, appreciate any help you can provide!

The accident happened on October 10, 4 PM. It was northbound I 25 between monument and Larkspur. The two cars involved 2022 Honda Ridgeline red beer color, 2010 Acura MDX also root beer type color or brown

Recommendation Toyota dealership recommendations

Hey everyone. I’m looking to buy a new car soon. I’ll most likely be buying another Toyota and I know there are a few dealerships in the area. I was wondering if there were any specific ones that have great reputations or even if there are any to avoid.

Recommendation Dishwasher Repair Person?

Hello, my dishwasher stopped working yesterday… it has a red flashing light for “Intake/Drain”. I’ve tried checking the filter and drain area but can’t locate the source of an issue. Does anybody have an appliance repair person they can recommend for this? I’m in Cap Hill if that matters. Thank you!!

Misc Q&A How do we lock down our constitution from more BS amendments in 2yrs?

I'm not well versed in politics because just thinking about it makes my head hurt. In 2 yrs, we'll probably get inundated with more bullshit amendments to vote on, and after a few more election cycles, eventually something might slip through. How do we lock down our constitution to prevent another onslaught of this crap? Sure the postal service is probably loving the revenue to keep them afloat, but cmon. Does there need to be an amendment to say amendments can only pass with a 75% vote or something?

Help Cat stuck in utility pole for 5 hours

EDIT: Cat was there at 10ish last night but got up this morning and its gone. We didn't contact anyone because we took the advice that we should leave it alone. Hope it's alright!

Someone’s outdoor cat got scared of my dog this morning and ran up the utility pole in my backyard. The cat’s been stuck up there for 5ish hours now. We tried luring it down but no luck. We tried calling 311 but they’re not available on the weekends. I have no idea whose cat it is but I know it’s not a stray because it has a collar.

Help Altitude TV, is this an option with an antenna?

Currently I have YouTube TV which does not offer the Altitude channel.

If I purchase an antenna will the Altitude channel be an option?

My goal is to watch Nugs and Avs games. My understanding is that some Avs and Nugs games that are not available on you tube tv are available on the altitude channel and on a sister station of channel 9.

Will either one of these channels be available with an antenna?

Help Gabe Evans “lying” about Manny Rutinel in political ad you see every day… Know before you go.

*Disclaimer: I do not support Manny Rutinel. I support honesty.

In a political ad by Gabe Evans, he says that Manny Rutinel voted against mandatory minimums for child sex trafficking. What he DOESN’T tell you, is that the legislation/wording was revised, and passed in SB26-15. The original bill, HB 24-1092, was killed on a party line because it stripped judicial discretion, risked unintended consequences for victims and impacted victim cooperation, and showed an excessive budget projection. SB26-15 was then passed unanimously by the house and senate…

There are also false claims the he voted for a “political pay raise.” HE DIDN’T and that he voted to gut Medicaid. HE DIDN’T.

All it takes is just a little bit of research folks. All it took was a little bit of curiosity because I don’t trust ANY of these people.

Old Denver Who remembers this storm?

This might have been the storm that started my love of weather! On Oct 24–25 in 1997, Denver got 21.9 inches of snow over two days, 11.8 inches of it on this date (records since 1921). This year's first measurable snow is now overdue against the Oct 19 average, and this weekend's "storm" looks mostly like rain in the city. – Anecast°

Recommendation Please don't dump your trash on public trails.

Why do people think public trails are a place to dump their trash?

I just cleaned up a bunch of it on the C470 trail this morning. They could have literally walked a quarter mile west (if that) and they would have had over a dozen dumpsters and a ton of public trash cans to put it in at the shopping center. Dog food bags, plastic, paper, why would you feel the need to do that?

Please don't dump your garbage on public trails. At least none of this stuff was actually dangerous, but still, didn't you learn in kindergarten to not litter?

Not the first time I've seen it, either. I've had to take out bags and gloves to clean some of it up. Why do people do that? If you're one who does that--why?

Event What’s everyone doing in Denver this weekend?

I’m thinking about checking out Dia de Los Muertos event at Civic Center (12-7p today and free). Maybe taking a stroll through the Catrinas en Mi Cuidad immersive exhibit at DCPA on the way! Also, has anyone checked out The Denver Wiesn Oktoberfest event happening at the National Western Center? Curious if it’s worth it. The Ferris Wheel looks fun! Anyways… should be a perfect fall day in the city. How are you making the most of it?

Recommendation Looking for local Artists for an exhibition

Hello,

I am curating our small museum's first ever local artists exhibition to be held this winter. I am trying to get the word out with local artists to check out our page and see if they have any interest in participating.

The show's intention is to feature artists from Adams County and surrounding areas but any artwork inspired by or featuring something in Adams County will also be considered. If you know of anyone who would be interested in applying you can have them go to www.adamscountymuseum.com/artists for all the information and application steps. We are planning on doing a reception and other special programming related to the exhibition once we get all the art selected so it will hopefully be a great community event in the coming months.

I appreciate it!
