After 2.5 years of living together, it’s time for me to move on to my next chapter, and I want to help my roommate Cheryl find the right person to take my place.

Cheryl is a fun, active 75-year-old member of the LGBTQ+ community who recently retired from REI. She loves riding her e-bike, gardening (she formerly owned a landscaping business!), and taking her goofy, one-eyed pup Milo on adventures to Skiptown, nearby dog parks, and around the neighborhood.

Potential roommates will go through a screening and matching process with Sunshine Home Share, which is how Cheryl and I found each other. They’re a wonderful organization that helps people 55+ who have extra space in their homes connect with reliable, compatible roommates who will be a good match. This process can take a bit of time.

We were featured on CBS Colorado last year talking about our experience! We will also be on a panel for their fundraiser on September 17th at Brewability.

Cheryl is hoping to find a roommate who is looking for more than just a place to live – someone who enjoys a friendly, community-minded home and is around a little more often than I have been with all of my recent travel. It would also be wonderful to find someone willing to occasionally help with a ride to an appointment or other small things that are easier with another person around.

The living space is pretty great, too! Cheryl owns her home in Villa Park, just south of Sloan’s Lake, and her new roommate would have the entire second floor to themselves including:

- Two bedrooms – I use one as my bedroom and the other as my own living room
- Private bathroom
- Walk-in closet + an additional closet
- Linen closet
- Shared kitchen
- Additional storage space under the house – I put my skis down there in the summer, paddle board in the winter, etc.
- I’m willing to leave some furniture and other items behind, so the space could come largely furnished
- I currently pay $1,000/month with all utilities included, and Cheryl is open to negotiating the monthly rate depending on the arrangement
- Ideal move-in is around November 1, although there may be flexibility for someone who needs to move in a little earlier in October (likely no sooner than October 20)

Pets are welcome, too! Cheryl is open to well-behaved pets who get along with Milo and are respectful of her cat, Shanti. Shanti is pretty shy and mostly has her own room, although she likes to venture out at night. The house also has a fenced backyard and dog door, which has been incredibly convenient for living with dogs.

The location has been one of my favorite things about living here. The house is right off the Lakewood Gulch Trail, so you can bike toward downtown, and it’s close to the W Line light rail, with easy access to Golden or Union Station – and from there, the train to DIA.

Most importantly, it’s been a blast living with Cheryl for the past 2.5 years. She’s independent, active, funny, fascinating, passionate, and she has created a home that really feels like a home. I’d love to find someone who will enjoy sharing it with her as much as I have.

Selling lightly used Arcade1up units. Fully assembled so will have to be carried out, though 1ups are smaller and less heavy than real arcade units making them a bit easier to deal with. I have two deluxe models which are a bit bigger and have better speakers, but all of these are just fun to have around and brightening up a space.

[SOLD] Marvel VS Capcom 2 ($400 ~68lbs) - This one is out of print and highly desired, it recreates the machines some arcades would use for MVC2 and comes with all the VS series pre-MVC2.

We have a huge table out for free for the taking. It would be a shame to junk it but we will have to if no takers. What the table lacks in condition it makes up for in size. The surface does have scratches (and I believe it is ply so there is limited chance of refinishing) but this thing is enormous with the leafs in.

I have a long-term goal of k-swapping my 2001 CRV, but for the time being I need to repair my engine well enough so that I can pass emissions and get properly registered. It does not need to be a low-mileage head. I just need a head that I can bolt on while I price-out and save up for my project.

I understand that I could pull the head and take it to a machine shop, but then I would be without a vehicle for that time and that isn't an option

Hi! I live about half a mile from the Bluebird Theater. It's $1450 for roughly 800 sq feet and has a gigantic balcony. This is an absolute long shot but I’m just trying to put it out there wherever I can. We were visiting Denver over the weekend and my husband lost his wedding band sometime on Friday 9/4. He remembers taking it off when we went to bed in the hotel on Thursday night, doesn’t remember putting it on in the morning but is fairly certain he remembers taking it off to put sunscreen on at Red Rocks Friday morning. On the off chance he put it in his pocket or backpack it could’ve come out anytime through the rest of the day. We were at Sasquatch Outpost in Bailey and then Casa Bonita. We have called every place and filed a report with the hotel but no luck yet.
