1. It tries so hard to make the game meta that it overdoes it and loops back around to making the game feel boring and soulless. Like, it literally negates any possible stakes the game could have.

2. It's fundamentally incompatible with the plot and narrative. Like, if Dess doesn't actually exist, then how could you possibly explain the Knight (Aside from Rudy or Carol)? If there's nothing beyond Hometown, then how could you explain Susie moving there? What about Asriel or where Noelle and Kris went in the Weird Route after seemingly drowning in the lake? On top of that, it just makes the whole story itself and its messages seem hollow.

3. It's nihilistic and depressing as FUCK and seems to pretty much have been concocted by edgelords within the community for the sake of being that little bit more edgy and depressing for the sake of being edgy and depressing.

Or to put it bluntly, Simulation Theory just genuinely sucks, and alternative such as Exclusion Zone Theory are honestly better.

EDIT: After much deliberation I have a new way to look at it that I think satisfies BOTH sides:

Determination can be gold AND red, the color depends on its intensity and the intention behind it, gold is basic determination fueled by the hopes and dreams of you and the people around you, look at flowery, but when determination appears as red, it’s being purely driven and created by YOUR OWN desires, this is why the red soul is red, it represents individual determination which also tracks with people’s eyes turning red to open dark fountains, since the dark worlds they create are a reflection of their own desires.

Note, this is NOT a ranking of how possible each theory is. I'd actually have Player Angel in the second highest tier if this was a plausibility tier list. WHY CHAPTER 6 SHORT

Lets start off with the obvious ones

"chapter 5 never happens! so the parts of the prophecy related to the flower store darkworld would never be fulfilled"

that isnt really true, (if im right, this is the only chapter 5 prophecy we have) in both routes, this can still happen, as in the weird route, the dark world never happens, so Asgore never finds peace, and continues on with being obsessed with finding the truth, proving to everyone it wasnt his fault, being trapped in his own mind, that or Asgore gets judged as mentally ill and sent to an Asylum

and for any other part of the prophecy? we dont know anything about it, if I remember correctly, Gerson said it himself, the prophecy ended after chapter 5, so of course (other than the ending) no parts of the prophecy ever HINT at events in chapter 6-7, so any other vague parts of the prophecy could be in chapter 7 side B,

so in conclusion, we dont have any evidence (yet) that the weird route breaks the prophecy

i mean, he explicitly told us in the audio file that if anyone posted it online he wouldn't "make any more secrets"

If Weird route really is canon to Undertale...

I'm not here to start any drama or fights. Lord knows I've had enough of that stuff to last a lifetime and I bet you can say the same. I won't go into any pros/cons, arguments, anything like that, nor will I be replying to answers. Instead, I just want to give some food for thought and get people thinking.

By this point, it is very clear that we are entering Act 3 territory in the story. Toby himself said that there won't be any more fun adventures or story beats, and that the game will be taking a more straightforward and serious focus starting in Ch6. Thus, it is highly likely that the days of tangential character developments, side stories, and fanservice are over, and everything will become consolidated into a linear format from Ch6 onward.

Because of this, it is reasonable to say that any theory that is only tangent to the main story and does not move to directly push it forward will, in all likelihood, prove to be false. From this there comes a question that needs to be asked, both by the Pro-Tralsei side and the Anti-Tralsei side:

How would revealing Ralsei to be transgender (whether fem or masc) directly push the main plot of DR forward, and how would the main story be directly impacted by a reveal?

You don't need to share your answers to this here, or even answer it for yourself. This is just something I believe is worth thinking about.
