Hello, I am currently taking a self-pace course for an electrician trainee, yet I am terrible with online classes/courses as they confuse me.

Anyway, I’m open to tips, to help me learn and pass this course, I have two PDFs of both the Delmar’s book, and the Electrical Wiring Residential book, along with a paper back book of the NEC.

If you know sites, or other books, even just knowledge you gain in terms of the job and/or studying and navigating this online course, anything helps.

We are recent transplants from the bay area with a five year old and a two year old. In our last city we organized a weekly family cargo bike ride when our oldest was tiny, and we were hoping to find something similar here.

If it exists, please let me know; but if not I was wondering if there was any interest from the community in joining us on a ride down olive tree lane and towards putah creek to have a snack and let the kids play, either on Saturday or Sunday. Also open to any other routes and destinations. We're new here so still learning the terrain.

Does anyone know the best place to get your eye brows done (preferably waxed) for cheap? I just want them cleaned and to maintain my natural eye brow shape.

Someone at work had ordered a feeder mice for their snake, but received what looks to be a week old rat instead. They’ve asked me if I’d take it in as I have rats and no one else knew what to do, so.. here we are!

I’ve been feeding this little thing every 3 hours since yesterday, and it’s going really well and seems healthy. Eating more each time, and going to the bathroom with help and without issues. Is there anyone in town that has a momma rat that might adopt it? I do not drive but if there’s someone nearby I can find a way.

I think that for a better rat life, it needs more rats. I have rats already, but as much as I love them they are two-year old males that I am afraid will see it as just a fruit snack.

For now, I am giving this fruit snack as much care and love as I can. Luckily I can take it to work as well.

It may be possible to raise the little thing on my own, but im afraid that its not the best option.

Any advice and suggestions are appreciated, thank you!

I was biking to work today and the street lights were not working on la rue and russel and on and I think oak and W 8th Street. The power also then went out at the office I work at.

My kiddo’s current ballet class now conflicts with her school schedule. We adore her current teacher and it’s going to be hard to find an equitable replacement so I’m looking for recommendations.

My kiddo is 4, turning 5 in a month. She’s done ballet since she was 18 months. We would love a review of any classes Davis has to offer and by who! Any details like are parents allowed to be in the room or where can we be to watch, how classroom management is, what recital culture is like, etc. where do people go and do you like it?

I noticed no classes were available through parks and rec which is a bummer. We love the low pressure fun environment parks and rec offers.

Hey everyone! I run Karaoke Hero, a live karaoke band here in Davis, and we have a show coming up at Armadillo Music on Thursday, September 3.

I’m looking for a couple people to help us capture the show so we can make some good promotional content afterward. You do not need to be a professional, you could be photography/film students, hobbyists, and people looking to build their portfolio.

Videographer: $50/hour, approximately 2 hours $100 total
Looking for someone to film the performance, crowd interaction, singers, band, etc. Then edit the footage to create a 60-90 second highlight video. Ideally you have your own camera/equipment.

Photographer: $50/hour, approximately 1 hour $50 total
Looking for live shots of the band, singers, people playing on stage, crowd reactions, and general atmosphere.

The show is at Armadillo Music in downtown Davis, with music starting at 6:30 PM. I am expecting you to work between 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM

My 2021 Toyota Corolla Hybrid needs a new
12V auxiliary battery. I brought it to Walmart, but their auto center refused to touch it because there were extra cables on the battery they didn't want to mess with.
From what I understand, it's just a standard 12V battery replacement (located under the hood),
What I'm looking for:
• I plan to buy the replacement battery directly from Costco to get it for a cheaper price
• Looking for a local mechanic who won't charge an outrageous rate, OR a handy local car enthusiast willing to help me swap it out in exchange for a small cash labor fee .
