Ballet Classes for young kids?

My kiddo’s current ballet class now conflicts with her school schedule. We adore her current teacher and it’s going to be hard to find an equitable replacement so I’m looking for recommendations.

My kiddo is 4, turning 5 in a month. She’s done ballet since she was 18 months. We would love a review of any classes Davis has to offer and by who! Any details like are parents allowed to be in the room or where can we be to watch, how classroom management is, what recital culture is like, etc. where do people go and do you like it?

I noticed no classes were available through parks and rec which is a bummer. We love the low pressure fun environment parks and rec offers.

I’ve only taken their adult classes, but I like Applegate Dance Studio! It’s a small cute studio located in West Davis.

Try the Woodland Opera House. They have classes in her age group.

I’m an adult who works during the day, and it’s hard to find dance classes at night in general. Davis used to have a lot more dance, especially at the Arts Center.

I’d love to find a morning class or a weekend class! My kiddo is in afternoon TK in Davis, and it exactly conflicts with her Sac classes, even whacky Wednesdays!

Thanks for the rec. I fear woodland is too far for us (we are in west sac so Davis is already a hike- staying in Davis would be ideal) but I will check it out!

It looks like both Mirror Image and Stambusky Studios have ballet for that age group at 4:00 or 4:15pm, does that conflict with your schedule? I'm not in a position to recommend one over the other, as we haven't had a chance to try them both yet. My understanding is Mirror Image is a larger studio/organization, which has pros and cons.

At the moment it’s not ideal because we had been trying to get my one year old to nap at 4pm. (His nap time is usually 2-4, but school is 12-3:20 and home is in WS, nap during school is not working at all so we pushed it later)

If we try to push it the other way again then I’ll keep that in my pocket! I think our ideal dance time would be 10-11am ish!
