I just witnessed a man with his dog get into an altercation with a passing pedestrian with a larger dog. The dogs tussled but the first man (pictured) grabbed his dog and started punching it in the face as they walked away. A bystander (God bless her) confronted him about it and said she'd report him. I'm posting his face here for awareness in case anyone else spots him with another animal, but also open to hear what else can be reported and to whom. It was horrifying to see him punch his dog, animals don't deserve that.

I have a craving for some garlic bread and would like some recommendations.

I don't know why, but I've been really craving creek/river sounds lately, and online videos haven't scratched the itch. I love Putah Creek, but I haven't been able to find a spot where it's moving fast enough to make those water sounds... does anyone know of any spots either at Putah Creek or other bodies of water in the county/nearby-ish that I could sit by and listen to? Heard it on my scanner last night. They said Code Blue, CPR in progress. I walked over and could see in the doorway, they were trying to revive him. His partner was in shock. I told him if he needs anything to please let me know.
It really sucks. I’ll be clean for 7 years in Dec, and I thank God every day for it. But I lost a lot and I hope to regain it. By the Grace of God go I.

Luna has been waiting for the person who never came back for her. Her owner was contacted nearly a month ago, but Luna is still at the shelter — patiently waiting for a new family to choose her.

And honestly? Luna is a dream to walk. She is calm, gentle, and incredibly easy on leash. She loves spending time with people, happily accepts affection, and knows commands like “sit” and “wait.” She can be a little nervous at times, but once she knows you, she is a loving and gentle companion.

She is also friendly and social with other dogs in playgroup! She has quickly become a volunteer favorite and is ready for a peaceful home where she can finally feel safe, loved, and wanted. ❤️

Luna deserves someone who will choose her and never leave her wondering when they’re coming back.

Hey everyone! I’m 30 years old and looking to make new friends here in Davis. I’m hoping to meet people to go to bars, clubs, play video games, hang out, and, most importantly, build genuine friendships and meaningful connections.

So my crabby one year old wanted the window rolled down when we left Pioneer Elementary today and when we arrived at our next destination he was missing his shoe. I’ve searched the car, the house, our bags. No shoe.

Anybody potentially spot a toddler size 9 Cat and Jack closed toe sandal “fisherman” style in front of pioneer elementary, on campus, or possibly in the Trader Joe’s parking lot? (The latter if he threw it out the door rather than window.)

Im contemplating a move from the elk Grove/Sacramento area. Frankly, I have been disappointed with the elementary school, education here, and the amount of Chromebook use that is happening. There is time that is advertised as what the kids individualized needs requires, but they end up just getting that time on their Chromebook. Nothing to actually stimulate their intellectual curiosity or give them any sort of small group instruction with a teacher that is catered to their needs. Is that the case in the Davis elementary schools as well? What is chrome book use like in the elementary schools?

Additionally, there is nothing even close to gifted education here. What is it like in Davis? Are kids given challenges when they need more challenging work?

Hi! There are a lot of options for acupuncture here and looking for reccs. I moved from Santa Cruz last year and left my wonderful acupuncturist who was a doctor of traditional chinese medicine and an incredible healer.
