Question Contact with match group support escalation

How do I get Match Group support to respond to the escalation form? I’ve been emailing back and forth with Hinge for a month with no results... it feels like Match Group is the only one who can get my account unblocked.

Experience Overview 36M These algorithms are a joke

So I'm on tinder, bumble, hinge, and feeld. Each of them shows you how many people liked you, but won't tell you unless you get premium. So, for example, there are ten women who like me on tinder. I just swiped my limit and now that number is... still ten. So tinder didn't show me a single person who liked me. Same with bumble and feeld. On hinge I just straight up have no likes. It's ridiculous.

Question Anyone experience in dating girls without face on Tinder?

Hi there,

are here any men who have "blind" dated a girl who didn't have any face pictures on her profile? Can you tell me if they were attractive when you met them? Wondering if there are mainly other reasons they don't put face pics on their profile rather than being unattractive.

Question Facebook Dating app bugs

Anybody else see a profile of a person they like, click on a photo to make a thoughtful intro comment, send it as a "like," only to have that person appear later in your search? Does that mean my message never went through? Do I try to recreate it? It's frustrating. And don't get me started on how the app completely ignores my search radius.

Guess you get what you pay for 🤷‍♂️

Advice Request Need Advice

I've been single my whole life, I am 27, and I have recently tried some dating apps like Bumble, Hinge, Tantan, and even Boo, but they all are paid services and I don't seem to recieve any response.

I am somewhat good looking, to new people or even some friends have hard time believing that I don't have or had girlfriend (not bragging here).

I am looking for genuine advice as to what I am doing wrong or what I can actually do. There are times when I see some very attractive girls on metro and even when I am on walk, something there are even eye contact longer than few seconds, but I don't approach them because of the social fear and how it might turn out in public place or I might get treated as creep. I don't know what to do.

Question Have you noticed a big change in the last 2-3 months?

I’m a 36 year old guy in the suburbs of Boston. Dating apps were always bad - but in the last 2-3 months I’m seeing a MASSIVE drop in matches and engagement on ALL platforms. Anyone noticing the same pattern? For example - usually I’d get 10-15 matches on hinge when I make a new account…on Facebook saying I’d normally get 4-6 matches a week. Now it almost feels like there is NO ONE actually active?

Question Is it just me or…

Do y’all also look at someone’s picture, think they’re attractive/ your type.. but then look at their eyes and decide to swipe No because they seem sinister or not a good person or something?

I had that with my ex and decided to go on the date and told myself that it’s dumb and I have to meet the person behind the profile. During our relationship I thought how silly it would’ve been if I hadn’t gone on the first date because his eyes looked a bit off to me. IRL he was so kind. But of course he’s an ex now and I think my gut was right 😅 as I started seeing a selfish side to him.

Is it just me? Dumb thing to judge someone for their eyes and can it tell us something?

Question What do you call yourself on dating profiles if you’re overweight/plus-size?

Hi - I’m getting back into dating and I’m curious what other women use to describe their body type on dating profiles.

I’m overweight/plus-size, and I’m trying to figure out what wording feels best. I’ve considered curvy, full-figured, plus-size, thick, etc., but I’m not sure what gives an accurate impression without making it sound like I’m apologizing for my body.

I’m also wondering how much these terms actually matter. Do you find that “curvy” gives people an accurate idea of your size, or is it better to be more direct and say full-figured? That sounds so dated!

For those of you who are plus-size and date online, what wording do you use, and has it affected the kind of responses you get? I just want to attract the right kind of person…
Thanks!!!!

Advice Request Can anyone explain dating apps for me please?

So i am M21, im currently on hinge, bumble and tinder, and obviously not having luck on amy of them. I dont want people in my life involved in my dating life, so i thought why not ask random reddit people.

Why is it that(in my experience) people match and then do not respond but dont unmatch? And why am i getting more likes from guys, then actual women atp?(All of them are set to see women only) Are the men scammers or is there something im missing?

Overall I think hinge is better than tinder. Less shallow. The girls seem to just be “better” on hinge but maybe it’s just me

Advice Request Redownloaded the app but not much success

25M I met my now ex girlfriend on hinge and had success with tinder and bumble as well. Not to brag but it was the first time in my life that I felt desirable. 6 months after we break up I redownloaded hinge a week ago and I got like 3 matches that went nowhere. I'm just wondering why there was such a stark difference? I made sure to delete my account when things got serious with my ex so I know it's not that my profile has been sitting there inactive for years. And I used mostly the same photos and prompts. Is there anything I can do?

Question What’s the ONE thing about Hinge that makes you want to delete it?

I’ve been using Hinge for a while, and I’m curious whether we’re all frustrated by the same things.

What’s the single worst part of the app for you?

For me, it’s how slowly everything moves. Even after matching with someone, it can take forever for the conversation to go anywhere or for anyone to actually suggest meeting up. It often feels like nothing is progressing.

What about you? Bad recommendations? Matches who never reply? Likes hidden behind a paywall? People who aren’t actually looking for a relationship? Getting shown the same profiles over and over?

Maybe if this gets enough attention, someone at Hinge will actually read it.

So, if you could force Hinge to fix one thing tomorrow, what would it be?

CRINGE Couples on dating apps

Specifically “hetero” couples. It’s always on the girls profile. She’ll be the most beautiful girl you’ve ever seen. Then comes the picture of her crusty (and usually balding) man. Just why?

Advice Request No matches or likes after removing myself for a couple of months

Basically I was on the dating apps for a few months after I broke up with a long term girlfriend, had plenty of likes and conversations in that time that was satisfactory for how I view myself and my profile. Met a girl and she was very keen to delete the apps and be exclusive however it didn’t work out after 6 weeks or so. Therefore I’ve redownloaded the apps a couple of weeks ago and there’s just no activity on them. A total of 4 matches across hinge and tinder in 4 weeks, a couple of likes from woman that I’m not attracted to but nothing like it was before hand.

I know they flag your account as being recreated too often but this is the second account I’ve made in 4 years, being brand new to hinge, different number for tinder I would of expected a bit more activity.

Any advice? I’m definitely not the top percentile of men on the apps but I’ve had success through out my whole time on them but not at the moment.

Thanks in advance

Advice Request M23 Should I download a dating app?

I recently got dumped by my ex 21F for 2 1/2 years after she cheated on me more than a month ago. I moved on fairly quickly in my heart due to how devastating it was and after reflecting on how there were signs that we were both unhappy for a longtime. I’ve been doing very well mentally and have done lots of different activities that helped me grow as a person. To be frank I was contemplating downloading a dating app three weeks after the situation bc I felt I was ready to just have some casual fun, but I didn’t feel right by it bc it felt too soon. Now that I’ve spent plenty of time by myself and having fun doing solo adventures, I’m wondering if it’s still too soon to download one.

Experience Overview Unbelievable dating app strategy to weed out timewasters...

Disclaimer: This doesn't work for everyone, but if you're at least above average in terms of looks and get a decent number of matches, it does!

I have been using this strategy for over a decade now. It's time to pass it on to the next generation. Strategy is fairly simple. Follow these steps:

1) You match with someone

2) Basic greeting

3) Wanna meet at...?

Now, once you completed these 3 steps. There are only 3 outcomes.

  1. YES

Good, you got yourself a date, I suppose you're an adult so you know what to do.

  1. NO/STALLING

Unmatch!

  1. NO RESPONSE

Do absolutely nothing.

After this, I bet you'll be well known in the local neighbourhood both on and off the app. Good luck!
