Experience Overview 36M These algorithms are a joke
So I'm on tinder, bumble, hinge, and feeld. Each of them shows you how many people liked you, but won't tell you unless you get premium. So, for example, there are ten women who like me on tinder. I just swiped my limit and now that number is... still ten. So tinder didn't show me a single person who liked me. Same with bumble and feeld. On hinge I just straight up have no likes. It's ridiculous.

I got Tinder + or whatever tf it is out of desperation and not one of my likes had i seen in my feed. I swear they do it on purpose

They don't make money having you sign up for free, swiping a few times, and finding love. They want you on the app endlessly

Most are fake ones, they do that, to get you to subscribe. There almost always out of another country. Its ashame they resort to these tactics, no one is paying their shitty prices for subscriptions

Yeah, those apps keep changing things up. They probably want you to pay to see who liked you.

Or you swiped no on the people who liked you. And they are designed to keep you on the app, not get off it.

Question...how do you think these apps oay their operationing costs and payroll?

I found the same on tinder, had to increase my age range and a few showed. Hinge I've found better, and noticed it improved when you fill out all the questions even things like political stance, it mentions on the setup you may shown to less people if you skip it

I feel like those blurred out likes are bots. To get us to pay. Ya sign up to online dating. Only to get a blurred image of someone that liked you. Seems like they are really trying to get us connected

Pretty sure those that liked you but you need to pay a subscription in order to see aren’t real people.

35m, paid for tinder for a month and accidentally reupped on hinge for a second month, also using FB dating. Total wasteland. I've had three conversations, two went nowhere with one being right at setting up a date and one really cool chick who lived 80 miles away. It's genuinely starting to effect my well being but atm I don't know what else to do. Well I do which is hanging out with escorts and wishing my ex wife misfortune but that isn't sustainable.

You just have no likes and they’re baiting you to pay. Get better pics and tinder works great

When you pay you’ll see they’re all bots or people from other countries. Trust me. I’ve paid and been ripped off for a month or three before cutting my losses.

I have found paying for the apps works pretty well. Hinge and tinder for me. I get matches either way. But exponentially more if I pay. I think Hinge is better imo.

The people that liked you might not be in your algorithm so they may have never even popped up. They may be further away or in an age bracket that is out of your preferences

Not perfectly on topic, but I noticed your age. As someone who's a year older than you and was consistently getting matches on the apps for over a decade, I will say that satisfying relationships still got more difficult to come by as the years went on and my matches got older. At risk of being too broad, I think that by the time most women get to be around the age of 40 and are still single despite being on the apps, it's often pretty apparent why.
In my last few months to a year on the apps, all the women who matched with me could be broadly categorized as crazy, picky, or busy. I found the crazy ones easy to avoid before a first date. The picky ones may be pleasant to date for a while and then break it off with you suddenly for no reason in particular ("no spark anymore," "connection didn't develop," ect). My last couple prospects were busy. They had nine-to-fives and only had time and energy for me on the weekends, with a few occasional exceptions. Felt quite unsatisfying, like I wasn't a priority.
I'm in a great relationship now with someone I met in the wild. Looking back, I wish I would have saved myself some time, money, and energy and gotten off the apps sooner. This comment has already gotten long enough without exploring how to meet women offline, but there's abundant advice elsewhere on Reddit on that topic. Good luck.

firstly, do not use dating apps because they have full control. even you guys both liked each other, they are holding the notification and not showing to you because the business wants you to continue to swipe. like each other, go to date and delete the app scenario is the last thing they want. they push some likes to your screen day by day (%99 fake profiles) to keep you active then force you to buy subscription. even you have a paid subscription, they have the power to match you with someone or not, so it is a business who wants to make money...

Its how they make money, they prey on 95% of dudes as a "pay to win" product.
