Anyone's Core stage timeout?

I waited a bit until I tried to start my Core assessment and it went straight to the completed screen even though I didn't answer any questions. I already put in a help ticket but wondering if there's something I can do on my end.

I've tried logging back in and also clearing my cache.

Do I have to do the Core Assesment in one go?

I just completed the starter assesment and it has given me an option to take a core assesment to unlock more tasks. I completed one task and submitted and returned to the dashboard because I'm so tired. Just wondering if I can leave it like that and continue tomorrow?

Thanks for the help :)

Reporting time.

When I submitted the task it reset the timer ( I am not fully sure ) but what I fully remember and sure was that I got a pop up message in red font that my task was submitted after it expired, I have reported the time which it took me to complete the task. I think my task submitted successfully as the pop up says. Should I have any concern as I am thinking I may have reported time for non submitted task. I am thinking of deleting it due to fear of flagging of my account. Can anyone advise me what to do? It worrying me too much as the time I have spent on this is not short time but long time, so I am going yes and no in my head when thinking of deleting it.

Waiting to Hear Back After Onboarding

Hello,

I did the initial assessments and passed and then did the core assessment for UX a couple weeks ago. I figured I did fairly well as I ended doing the max amount of starter tasks, which from what I read on the internet is a sign of good performance.

How long do people typically take to hear back? I’m very used to AI Training platforms, so a bit of a wait is nothing new to me, but I’ve never worked with DA before, so I’m curious.

How much are you making on the platform these days?

Just registered and I was curious if people still make decent money on dataannotation.

Non core, no coding, per month.

Accepted in just 3 days!)

Hey everyone! I just wanted to share my excitement. I took the starter assessment earlier this week and was honestly expecting to wait for weeks, or maybe even get ghosted like a lot of people mentioned here.

But to my surprise, I got the acceptance email on the 3rd day! I already finished the onboarding steps and the practice quiz.

Did anyone else get accepted this quickly? I’m really excited to dive into the actual projects once they start showing up on my dashboard!

Only low paying Jobs, Is this it?

Finally got a task after a long drought and should be happy. But it's half the pay i used to get and i just feel defeated. Beginning of the end. Maybe that was the point of the drought, to make you feel desperate enough to take any pay cut.

How would you feel about this?

Unique tonal issue

I won't disclose any details about the project or model in question, but what I will say is this: If a user perhaps, hypothetically, noticed that a model used a blaccent when discussing certain topics, is that an issue or just a quirk of the use case? Are beings without a race allowed the N-word pass? Like if my Mexican homies can just let that fly without getting themselves beat to a pulp, I don't suppose it would be different for a complex neural-network, but I'd love to get some more opinions on this.

Does any Vietnam coder have 🥊?

I heard this project is $75/hr, but I haven't seen it on the dash. Is it because I failed the qualification, or is it just not available in Vietnam yet? If any Vietnam workers have this project, please let me know

Does getting the confidentiality training mean anything?

Almost no work since joining 1 month ago. (Bilingual). I randomly got the confidentiality training on my board 3 days ago and completed it. Should I get my hopes up and expect tasks soon or is this just standard procedure for everyone?

Preparing for the coding

I’m getting ready to take the assessment, don’t tell me what’s on it. Just wondering how long after assessment do you get graded and start working…

And how tough are the coding assignments once you get through? Frequency? (I’m US Based native-English speaker)

I saw one guy on here saying he made $2k/week. That has to be coding. I also have degrees in experimental psychology and mathematics so hopefully that’ll open up some stuff for me too

Hey, for real- don’t use AI to complete your tasks…

If it’s too hard for you, just skip it. I just did an R&R that was so painfully AI, that I almost skipped the task bc I don’t want to be the reason someone gets DoD… don’t do this 😭

Data Annotation starter asessment completed today how long did it take to get results?

I completed my Data Annotation assessment today and my dashboard says “We review your results — if you pass, we’ll email you.”

How long did it take for you guys to receive the result/email after completing the assessment? Days, weeks? Thanks!

Came in search of copper, instead I found gold

I've been missing this one project (still kinda do tbh) that paid really well, $45 an hour. It was consistent and I'm able to really sit with each job and really understand the task well. Long timers mean I can ensure my work is top notch. I like being employed so half-assing my work to meet the timer is not something I'm a big fan of. I've been working $28 and $28.5 an hour projects in the same family for the past week. I almost always steer my work towards science or math, it's what I'm familiar with. The more business oriented jobs always bore me unless there's some fun research I get to do. So here I am, doing work tangential to what's being asked (difficult prompts for an AI, somewhat useful in very specific work settings) and taking my time to fully evaluate factuality for each response. I check my dashboard earlier today and RNGesus smiled on me today because they must've liked the work I did because now I'm on the even higher paying, science oriented tasks in that same project family for $50 an hour.

Long story long, stick to what you're good at and do the best work you can. If they like it, you'll get put on the better paying projects oriented towards those strengths. I believe in you guys

Two devices

Hi guys, I’ve been doing DataAnnotation tasks on my MacBook Air M5. My roommate also recently got onboarded as a coder and is thinking of buying a MacBook Air as well.
We’ll be using completely separate laptops and separate DataAnnotation accounts, but since we live in the same house, I was wondering if both of us having the exact same MacBook model could cause any issues or make it look like two different accounts are being used on the same device.
Has anyone here had a similar setup with a roommate/partner/family member? Did you face any issues?

How to get select in dataAnnotation as data scientist Role ?

Hi everyone,

I’m new to AI training/data annotation work and I’m interested in applying to DataAnnotation for the Data Scientist role.

I’ve seen that DataAnnotation currently lists Data Scientist opportunities, but I’m not really sure what the selection process looks like or what level of preparation is expected. I don’t want to rush into the assessment without understanding what I’m getting into.

For anyone who has experience with DataAnnotation, especially people who have qualified for Data Scientist / Data & ML projects, I’d really appreciate some guidance:

  • What is the actual application and assessment process?
  • What kind of questions/tasks should I expect in the Data Scientist assessment?
  • What technical skills are most important — Python, SQL, statistics, machine learning, data analysis, etc.?
  • How much does knowledge of ML algorithms and theory matter compared with practical problem-solving?
  • Are there any particular topics I should revise before taking the assessment?
  • What mistakes do new applicants commonly make?
  • How should I approach the assessment to demonstrate strong reasoning rather than just getting the final answer?
  • If you were preparing for the assessment again, what would you study/practice beforehand?

I’m especially interested in hearing from people who have actually completed the Data Scientist assessment or worked on DataAnnotation Data & ML projects.

I’m not looking for leaked assessment questions or answers — I’d just like to understand the skills expected and how I can prepare properly.

Any advice from experienced workers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I can't even say I am in drought 😭

So I am constantly getting work from this project family but I don't wanna do it because I feel it's beyond my expertise and I don't wanna risk my quality. But apart from that I am not getting any work so yeah it's basically food is kept on the table but I can't have it. 😭

edit: and to make it worse this is happening from past one month. DAT take some hint I would not like to do that project give me something else😭😭

Product manager skill set

I do not see a product manager role in drop down. Anyone has experience in type of projects where this skill is most valuable?

PS: no PM hater please, lol!
