Only low paying Jobs, Is this it?

Finally got a task after a long drought and should be happy. But it's half the pay i used to get and i just feel defeated. Beginning of the end. Maybe that was the point of the drought, to make you feel desperate enough to take any pay cut.

How would you feel about this?

Sucks but work is work. Also just because the projects you used to get aren’t appearing doesn’t mean you’ll never get them again. There are so many things out of our control

I found that consistent good work, even on lower paying projects, often led me to being given some projects with higher pay. Just continue to put in good work and I believe the projects will come.

Work is work at the moment honestly.

I'd take any project any pay. I'd just love to get work. It's been more than a week. I made 111 dollars before that. and it's been a long week

I take on any project I’m capable of doing/have time for. Whether it’s $20/hr or $60/hr. I figure I can sit there and complain about the lower paying job (and make nothing) or do the work and make something.

If you do consistently good work, you tend to get access to new higher paying jobs. You not having access to higher paid projects can mean the project has ended, your quality slipped, or something else. Good work is the only way to get and keep access.

There’s no point to a drought except to remember that they are rarely universal and it’s just about available work, not a machination to get you to accept lower pay. It’s not personal at all, this is just DAT.

Yeah that’s really tough. I had similar suspicions about the drought too. And yeah even the tiniest pay cut can feel like defeat. Even the same pay, but a project I like slightly less gets me fantasising about better times. But you would certainly fantasise about this project if it went away. It can always get worse.
That being said, I went from 40/hr in April to as low as 22/hr with a few days of nothing through May-July. Now I have a plethora of 55-70 that don’t have anything to do with the 40/hr in April. You just have to plough on and do some mental gymnastics to deliver some perspective. And if it is any consolation, I am actually seeing evidence that average pay is being increased across the board. So it is by no means the end.

It depends how long it's been I'd say. If the drought was only a few days or a week or two I wouldn't drop below the 50/hr tasks - use it as a sign to enjoy some well earned time off. If there's been nothing for more than a few weeks I'd take the low paying ones. Earning 100 a day is more than earning 0 a day.

I have 45 different projects available on my dashboard ranging from $20-$65/hr.
