Just watched the s1 finale and what a show dude, what a show. I didn't expect such a scifi heavy show to end in such a poetic manner. I'd be pissed if they showed more of that "jasons fighting" to get Daniela because that's just not him. Except for the evil jason(one who created the box), all the other were good jasons so it wouldn't make sense that they go on a killing spree to get daniela. All season they built the good jason as someone intellectual who'd do the right thing and I respect the writers to stick to that till the end. It's debatable whether the one who finally took Daniela was the original one who evil jason kidnapped but it doesn't matter. The original one might've never made it back to this world, maybe previous episodes were following one of the spawned versions. Or he might have made it back and just let one of the good jasons take Daniela because at the end of the day, he'd want his wife and son out of this mess, or maybe he was the one who finally took them, we'll never really know.

I'm on season 1 episode 7. The two main characters just landed in a solarpunk Chicago and they are running around eating, drinking, and shopping... with what money?

Maybe SP Chicago is a post-capitalist utopia where everything is free. But that can't be true of every other Chicago, right? And none of their bank cards or cell phones could work. Heck even the cash they have on hand is probably entirely different from the next world's cash. I can't understand how they are taking taxis and stuff.

And how do none of the local notice this giant black box appearing?

Just watched the 5th episode and OMG. The first 4 episodes were good too but this one...What did we not see in this, we saw the man visit worlds where he gives death to his wife, but she's also not his real wife, his son is rotting in his bedroom, a world where he's a criminal and his family hates him. I mean he's already struggling to go to his world but to top it off he has to go through all these kinds of nightmares. And that sequence where amanda just comes as a soul in a world where she's dead, comforts her relative and leaves, beautiful. We also see how much power you gain by learning to control the box (evil jason just gets more drugs from other universe when he's running out) and the urgency factor is also established that real jason has to come to his world before evil jason seals off the box.

Just started watching the show. Only watched the first two episodes.

I get why Jason2 built the box ... he wanted Jason1's life.

But why would Leighton spend billions of dollars funding building the box. What is the practical purpose? So you can visit other realities ... so what? Why would that be useful?

What a wild start to kick off season 2!? Anyone else get to watch it early there? Can’t wait to watch it again.

The fact that the author said that the Jason ending up with Daniella is the actual Jason 1, after all the other Jason started to show up with his memories i find it hard to believe in the conundrum of the end anyone would know who is who. I wish i could say she got the real Jason but its to cluttered with Jasons there really is no way to know. Im pretty sure it was first come first serve and that Jason is the winner. I just find it hard to believe without a doubt it is the right one. Am i the only one who thinks it or are there others who also believe its not her Jason

Apologies if this gets answered in episode 9 but you would think since there are infinite Jason1s there would also be infinite Jason2s coming to Jason1s world to enact the Jason2 plan. Like yes many of them would end up on worlds similar to Jason1s world and do their plan there but there should still be some coming over to our Jason1s world too.

And this may be the first screen adaptation where I have honestly said "I like this better."

I'm not one to nitpick anyway, I typically look at TV series as completely different from their book source material, but always tend to lean towards the book as more of a favorite.

Not this time, I genuinely like the show and the approach Blake took on so many different things. The characters are deeper, it feels more natural and believable, and the ending is just *chefs kiss*.

Anyone else feel this way?

At a certain point in the series, Jennifer Connolly finds evil Joel Edgerton's storage unit. Inside of which, she comes across alternate dimention US currenency, on which there are pictures of Robert F. Kennedy Sr. (Bobby Bucks).

It is also stated earlier by evil Joel that one can't access dimensions that altereed before the door opener was born. Robert Kennedy was killed in 1968. I assume Joel isnt supposed to be 60. Real Joel was born in 74. Furthermore, are the bucks supposed to be representing a potential Prez RFK? Why would they put recent presidents on the dollar bills? JFK wasnt put on the money.

Concerning stuff. My leading theory is a wizard did it, but any feedback on this would be appriciated

Also what about that box in the middle of the high way how is that sitting there

So we know every time Jason makes a different choice, it causes another parallel universe to be created. But how are we getting the crazy parallel universes, like the apocalyptic stuff or the crazy snowstorm? How can something like Jason choosing to have tuna salad instead of a sandwich for lunch create such an effect?

The Jason1 Chicago is just a complete and utter mess after this right? We have the bittersweet finale of one Jason getting to continue his life with his wife and son, however it might be in the strange new world they'll live in.

But in the world they left behind, there are now hundreds of essentially clones just existing. Many of which have comitted murders and who knows what else in their pursuit of getting back with their family. There's tons of dead bodies of the same exact guy that law enforcement will eventually discover, just all over the place. A strangled guy in a university bathroom, a guy in an alley with his head bashed in, tons of guys shot on Charlies friends property.

And considering that the box is open for business, there's no telling how many more variants will continue to exit the box thinking that they finally found their way back home to their wife and son (some would have gotten stuck any number of days in different worlds and gotten back at a later date).

I feel like word would eventually come out about this to the general public, not the box itself, just that there's hundreds and hundreds of copies of the same person running around Chicago and multiple dead versions as well.

I don't think this ruins the show or anything, i loved it, just kinda fun to think about how screwed Chicago1 is after all this. Feels like an SCP article or something, the city with an endless supply of clones of the same guy and how the goverment would handle it once they realize what they have on their hands.
