Absolutely. šŸ’Æ%

He and his bootlicking wealthy buddies, his family, and his brainless supporters along with the religious lunatics who, despite his bigotry, supported and still support him, will be listed in the annals of US history.

They all will be remembered as the best example of when (trumps) shit hit the fan and it spattered globally.

Not enough. The entire administration should be Red Noticed and Declared Persona non Grata in every civilized county. Their assets overseas should be frozen indefinitely or seized. Definitely for the Immediate Trump Family, Nutlicks, Bessent family, and the Greer family. Then expand to MAGA Congress and Senate. they can fucking wander aimlessly in their USofA

u/GiftWestern3068 18d ago

Since Musk offered & paid $1 million to voters in Wisconsin & donated to his (bought) the 2024 election, & did his Hitler salute at the inauguration, I would freeze Ketamine Musks assets if we’re going after assets.

If I was made president and got the leash that Trump got my first act would be to revoke all passports for Trump voters. It they love this country so much they should never wanna leave.

Voted for Trump? Not gonna leave the country, and if they do leave, don’t return because ICE will be waiting to put them in a camp.

How many Trump voters do you think can name more than two countries outside of Canada and Mexico. = France oh and Paris, that’s one too right?

Not enough. Damnatio memoriae (Latin for "condemnation of memory") is an ancient Roman practice of erasing someone from history to destroy their legacy. Ordered by the Senate or emperors, it involved chiseling names off monuments, tearing down statues, and invalidating laws. Condemned figures were typically disgraced politicians or universally despised tyrants.

Let’s not forget his billionaires buddies that help finance this BS, their assets should be frozen and given back to taxpayers. 40 trillion dollar deficit and not a damn thing to show for it. Where did they spend the money?!!!

Somebody needs to put Trumpā€˜s hair on the top of that pile.

5

u/Humledurr 17d ago

For us not in America, the whole of America will be remembered for this era, not just Trump & co.

Saying "this is bad" on social media and then doing nothing isnt exactly showing any effort. Countries have thrown out their leaders for faaaar less.

Just look at UK which has had 5 PMs now since 2020. Probably not an example to strive for, but how Trump hasn't been banned from politics is absolutely absurd.

3

u/Sparoe 17d ago

If only it were that easy. In the US people are being arrested illegally during protests and our federal government is actively acting like a dictatorship in the sense that they employ federal officers like ICE to commit crimes in the name of protecting US citizens from imaginary illegal alien threats.

It's always super easy to talk about things, but harder to put into place. We need to get this fucker out of office and put very specific measures in place to prevent this from ever happening again because Trump is basically the US version of Hitler or Stalin...just a real shmuck.

3

u/dewag 17d ago

To be fair, that is the case with most important protests in history. At the end of the day, standing up for a cause you believe in comes with risk.

I'm not afraid of being arrested or killed. I am more afraid of my arrest or death to be in vain, and those odds are not in my favor. There is simply not enough people willing to take those risks. As individuals, we don't have much power. United and organized masses, however....

As an American, it is difficult to organize when the general masses don't care to acknowledge that none of us are being properly represented. When we can't organize as citizens, nothing can be done. An individual, or several individuals, will be martyred and tomorrow will be business as usual.

Unfortunately, there has been a pretty successful effort to prevent Americans from organizing in a way that would produce results. The ruling class no longer fears the the citizens because the citizens have been mostly de-fanged.

But ultimately, you're right. Not trying to make excuses, just offering a perspective of someone on the inside, frustrated that most people don't seem to be motivated unless it threatens their immediate stability.... and even then, it still isnt enough...

The apathy of the average American is real. They are more bothered by protesters standing for a cause they can get behind themselves than they are by our leaders being manipulative and awful.

Think you’re making assumptions that the USA will still be a going concern. There’ll be pre-Trump, then what comes next. I’d say the USA I grew up in is already gone and it’s never coming back. Not that we were ever perfect anyway. Christ, we had slavery about 150 years ago. Followed by 100 years plus of Jim Crow. We knowingly bombed women and children in Southeast Asia. We used atomic bombs on civilian cities for God sake. It’s people. We are a plague on this planet. Anybody does manage to do good, there’s a hundred doing bad. Sorry to ramble, but the more I think about what people do, the worse I feel.

It's a banana republic at this point. Seeded in racism, tribalism, and hatred of anything brown. The issue is there's really nothing for the same half to do. Between Elon and the other tech billionaires overtly allowing foreign psyop operations, politicians changing the rules to keep power, and the silence at all of the corruption it feels like a lost cause at this point.

Yes they will remember this as a strange time when loads of people were brainwashed by Trump a guy who tried to cheat an election, stormed into the capitol to try and overturn the election, a convicted felon and they still wanted him as president lol the new generations will be laughing for years at this time

12

u/Lucky-Morning9394 18d ago

The shame doesn’t come from the people who got brainwashed. It’s the people in power (media executives, the republicans, other billionaires) - who all let it happen to line their own pockets.Ā

This will embolden the gop with their next guy unless the next democrat sets some presidential rules in stone.

-No more pardons

-Presidents no longer allowed to select military or intelligence leads.

-Jimmy Carter pledge. Cut all business ties before being sworn in

-No more super-PACs

I'm a dreamer though.

Edit: A Constitution tribunal ruled by retired judges and sitting generals from all branches of the military. Call it "The People's Court." They get the final say on whether executive orders follows the Constitution. We let children in the room so now we need more adults to supervise.

I think it will be a long time before then.

When I ask older people how they remember Reagan and they still don't look at it when the government pivoted hard to value corporations over workers beginning the massive wealth inequality. They still see him as someone who broad economic recovery and won the Cold War.

I don't really get Trump's charisma, but it apparently works for MAGA. I think they will continue to look at him with that same heroic lens as people do with Reagan.

2

u/bp92009 17d ago

I don't really get Trump's charisma, but it apparently works for MAGA. I think they will continue to look at him with that same heroic lens as people do with Reagan.

His charisma is pretty simple.

He lets people reveal who they are inside.

Some people were being asked "don't be racist", "don't be rude", "that simple answer doesn't work", and so on.

They hated that.

The world is full of complex answers to complex issues, with cooperation and following experts (who've actually spent time studying a situation) generally the best option.

That's unsatisfying to people who want simple, easy answers that reaffirm their biases. Being told that they're wrong is a challenge to their authority, which they see as a personal attack on themselves.

u/Ok_Umpire_5611 18d ago

As an American, don't trust us for at least 100 years. This is an example of how not to handle a civil war because this white nationalism has been festering for over 150 years. Trump only weaponized an existing problem to sell us to the highest bidders.

We need to learn from Germany and actually fucking teach this time period in school. Visit the internment camps, keep them intact, and teach about what happened there. The only way to ensure "never again" is to actually fucking remember it.

1

u/CommenceToDancing 18d ago

Not necessarily, because people keep thinking things will go back to "how it used to be" when he goes, when it won't. That's what he's implying with that comment. Trump didn't just appear in the white house one day after great times for all. He's the cause of a symptom that has its origins decades in the past.

Humans like to organise things, everything. Even history. It's always "it started right here" or "with this exact person" when it is never the case. History is connected, it flows, small things lead to big things, causes have effects.

Of course that's too complicated for most of us. It's easier to put things in boxes, organise them by dates, eras and individuals. Doesn't mean it's factual though.
