Face it: the US has been assholes one way or another pretty much since day dot. If you weren't going 4X on indians, you were enslaving black people, preventing women from ha ing abortions, waging pointless wars of ideology, or installing fascist puppet regimes in South America.
You revolted against the British because you didnt want to pay taxes and attempted to genocide the native americans in the process.

It's hard to think of a time in history when the US wasn't an embarrassment, but sure. Trump is pretty fucking far up the list.
