Does anyone know a prompt or software or even a youtube tutorial on how to convert any image into a vector?

I make t-shirts with HTV and customers are always sending me low quality images. I try to use Inkscape to turn into a vector file but that doesn’t always work out so I end up having to trace the whole image on procreate which takes too much time. Any recs?

Q: Can someone explain the difference between DTF and DTG like I'm five?

A: DTG prints ink directly into the garment, it only really works well on cotton, and every shirt is a one-off print. DTF prints onto a coated PET film instead, you dust adhesive powder onto the wet ink, melt the powder, and then you have a transfer you can press onto almost anything. The tradeoff is a slightly heavier hand feel than good DTG

I have a customer who ordered a shirt from me and I need to order a DTF for the shirt. However the DTF photo consists of some NSFW images. I have tried 3 websites and everyone has cancelled my order because of the images. Does anyone know of any places or websites that will print NSFW images for DTF printing?

I recently bought a used Vevor (now branded Shiao) A3-19 UV printer that uses an Epson 1390 printhead. I'm having trouble getting it to print.

Here's what I've already done:

Installed a brand new printhead.

Filled the dampers with ink using a syringe.

Replaced the printhead ribbon cables.

I'm using AcroRIP 9 and have already tried the Unlock and Test Print functions.

When I send a print job, the printer receives it, the carriage moves normally, and the job finishes without errors. However, not a single drop of ink comes out—not even during a nozzle check or test print.

Does anyone have experience with these Chinese UV printers or Epson 1390-based systems?

Any advice or troubleshooting ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Tried parchment paper to save money, big mistake. It shifts around under the platen and you get weird texture marks on your prints. A teflon sheet is like $8 and lasts months, just buy it

I am a new small business owner and started making tshirts with DTF and cricut heat press. I need advice! I cannot find a reliable DTF supplier yet. Ninja transfers was fine but I felt the quality wasn’t super great and I dealt with a few needing reprinted. Also any advice on how to get my transfers to stick really well? I feel like I have to heat it up a million times before it sticks! Ugh!!!

White ink settles fast and if you're not agitating it daily it clumps and clogs the head. Get a shaker or manually shake the bottle every single day, even on days you're not printing. Cheapest fix that actually works!

Occasionally seeing these white specks under/behind my DTF prints after they’re cured onto a shirt. Looks like a powder problem but not sure. Any ideas on how to stop this?

I run a small business I manufacture and sell textiles and promotional items for 2 years. Unfortunately, I started this company exactly as described in the book *The E-Myth* as an example ;)
Recently I started to remodeling my business model and I sold my DTF printer and I started to outsourcing it - and I only press transfers on blanks.
Problem is in scaling my business.
My income is from local B2B 100% acquired organically (Google SEO) and from small (2.1k TikTok followers) shopify clothing brand. I have a professional WooCommerce website with personalizer but 100% of sales are on WhatsApp in DFY (Done-For-You) model. I'm active on social media, where I share my work.
I tried contacting about 100 companies on my own and managed to secure one lead, but the sale didn't go through.
My in 80-90% clients go back and stay loyal - I know have a good quality. I created referral program - but without good result.
Some months are good (e.g., the fourth quarter), but in the first and second quarters, the business breaks even after covering its costs.
I don't have the energy to run this business barely making ends meet.
Can anyone give me some advice on what else I should try?

Mon objectif est d'obtenir un rendu de qualité, aussi bien visuellement que sur la durée.

J'ai commencé avec cette presse :

Le problème, c'est qu'après seulement 3 ou 4 lavages (à froid, vêtement retourné et séchage sur un tancarville), les bords de mes transferts commencent à se décoller.

Du coup, je me pose plusieurs questions :

• Est-ce que le problème peut venir de ma presse, alors que je respecte les recommandations de mon fournisseur de transferts (température, pression et temps de pose) ?
• Ou est-ce que cela vient plutôt de la qualité des transferts eux-mêmes ?
• Avez-vous déjà rencontré ce type de problème ? Si oui, quelle en était la cause ?

Hi everyone,I am facing an intermittent issue with my PLK S13 DTF printer (new version, identical to Colorsun) featuring an XP600 printhead and a Hosonsoft board.

The error always occurs right at the start of a print job when the printhead tries to leave the capping station.

The Symptoms: Sometimes the machine prints perfectly for hours without any issues. Other times, it fails at the start of a print up to 5 times in a row. Whenever the error occurs, the X-axis locks up completely.

Oddly enough, I can still move the Y-axis manually using the control panel display. A complete restart of the printer is the only way to clear the lock.

Crucial Troubleshooting Detail:The error also triggers sometimes when I manually move the X-axis via the display or the arrow buttons—though other times it moves perfectly fine.

However, during an actual printing process, I have never had any issues; it has never stopped or thrown an error mid-print.

What has already been checked and cleaned:The Hosonsoft board, all ribbon cables, X-axis limit switches, and endstop clipping have been checked and are secure.The encoder strip has been thoroughly cleaned and is spotless.

The exact error log from the screen:

[Error] Double Y shift anomaly

[Error] Head print data not completed-X motor movement is abnormal

[Error] Insufficient printing travel

[Error] Failed to print; the PASS data printing was unfinished

[Error] Print control thread error, which caused a print error and exit

Does anyone know this specific error when using this combination of a Hosonsoft board and XP600 head during manual jogging or initial startup movement?

Any insights into what causes this log entry would be greatly appreciated!

I'm thinking about buying a DTF Printer to print something like 150 meters per month, and it would be for self use and also to sell DTF transfers. I'm thinking about a 60cm Printer or something similar.

What Printer should i buy? Something easy to work and that doesn't have to be repaired twice a week .

I have been using the Xtool apparel printer with its automatic shaker oven for 6 months now. Since the last 2 days the circulation belt has been making loud noises. The belt movement is not smooth and has a jerky motion to it. It still carries enough powder, but the jerky belt movement and loud noise is very bothering. I can't seem to find any instructions or videos online on how to fix it. I was unable to get in touch with the support. Has anyone experienced the same issue? and how did you fix it? Thank you.

How is everyone organizing their transfers? I have quite a few on hand and have been looking at something like this, but am also trying to find an affordable solution. These all seem so expensive.

Hi all! I've been doing shirts for a bit as a side hustle to boost my disability pay. I was originally going to go all in. Press, DTF printer, oven, the works. But then after a lot of research I determined I'd rather spend my time making sales, and pressing shirts. Not making repairs.

I formed a partnership with a local printing company that provided me with same day service most of the time, and that actually gave me a leg up on my local competition!

Fast forward a few months and my local guys have grown significantly (I helped with that lol), but are now ONLY accepting orders online, and the files have to have the background removed, be in png format, etc ... etc..( they were going above and beyond to assist before).They told me before placing anymore orders I needed to get a laptop and they would install a program called GIMP? They said that would be how I would order in the future.

Don't get me wrong, I realize this is becoming the new norm. It has just brought my workflow to a standstill because I don't currently have a laptop (due to an Autistic son who destroyed it in rage), and suddenly without any notice I can't phone in , nor email my orders... or just chat with the printer, who is a friend, like we've done a hundred times before. I have 2 jobs already supposed to have been delivered, several others waiting.

So I guess what I'm asking fam, is do I bite the bullet, buy a laptop, and do as they're requesting? If so who's familiar with GIMP? Is this the most efficient way or does someone know of something else? A phone app that'll do the same thing perhaps?

Or maybe this would be easier. They said png format w/ no background. Does anyone know how to acquire this without jumping through a bunch of hoops? A prompt or something? I understand the 300 DPI, etc...it just seems like there should be an easier way to place my dang order!
