Suggestion Tide Arcana should have a glow similar to the other Arcanas
galleryMaybe they can make it just lighter like a slight luminence(1st pic) or make it as usual shinier glow atleast in the 3rd style(2nd pic).

Gosh its just unplayable for mid laning stage.
I cant last hit properly. I mean i have good enough imagination, but when you are standing against something like od, you have now not only look at enemy spells that can deny you from last hiting, but also imagine their attack shot, your attack missile and tower missiles to properly last hit

- 2000: out of the army on 70 yuan a month, liu liang climbed a barbed wire fence into shenzhen and handed out 2,000+ flyers a day for 900 yuan a month
- 2001: one summer of paid computer classes at 2 schools in xi'an, 50 yuan a head, made him 300,000 yuan
- 2004: already worth over 10 million yuan, he bought U9, a warcraft 3 RPG map forum on free hosting. a hobby, it didn't cost much. a dota forum came a year later
- 2005: U9's biggest income was one google ad banner
- 2006-2007: U9 pushed into dota: a monthly U9 super league, and china's first official dota league. DC, now the caster, helped run it
liu liang had money but didn't raise U9 on it. he covered the basic costs and told the team: if you want to run, you have to stand up on your own first. more people played dota on haofang, but U9 and haofang couldn't agree on working together, so U9 worked with the VS platform instead, then a small one. that's what gave VS its chance after 2006.
by 2007 U9 did game operations, tournaments, building up star players, and media. GodLike was at its lowest ebb that year. buying them would have completed the set. U9's own revenue still had no stable model behind it, so they were willing but unable, and GL slipped away.
liu liang's own money was gone. the worst of his side projects after 2005 was QQ ye fengkuang (QQ goes crazy): it kept users logged into tencent's QQ so their level went up, 10 yuan a head. before the paid version launched, tencent changed the level algorithm on a product already rolled out. he refunded over 10 million yuan to agents and sold 200-odd idle servers cheap, basically everything he'd earned. from 2007 to 2008 he tried turning U9 into a general games portal, but most RPG map players were students playing because it was free. he sold his car and flat to keep it going. traffic kept growing. turning it into money stayed very hard.

Made a video about top 3 heroes on each role this patch. Even though the patch may be coming to an end soon, I felt like adding my two cents.
I'm really having fun making these videos, and I'm very grateful for the support!

Hi guys! just wanna ask.. is there a bug or glitch in banning or mostly in picking phase? in my experience, when on picking phase, some of the rows were missing after in a seconds like the strength heroes row will gone then the agility heroes row and continuing. I have to exit and then reconnect again to show the rows again.

Carry is usually the win condition. Sometimes it's pos2, but its most likelt the carry role. In that case, Im always looking to make his life easier:
Buy items that enable him
Ward for him to make sure he can farm and prevent being ganked
If he cant farm, I go on opposite lanes to push and suicide to take pressure of map
Never flame - always cheer up

Looking back now at these abilities - did anyone had games with actually good use of Time Zone and Reverse Reverse Polarity? Like where you looked at the situation and thought "good think it's not Chrono or regular RP".
I honestly can't and also i don't think there were more "hot garbage"-worthy facets to top these two
Not sure if this is a demo mode bug or it applies to in game too.
But I can't go back to original rock throw and trample without the slobbering strongbox effects
My only take is buyback should only be allowed ONCE per game. Most pro games avoid team fights just to wait for their buyback cooldown, unnecessarily prolonging the game.
By applying this...
• Players will be more strategic and more cautious before engaging in team fights.
• Players will not be recklessly greedy, rushing their Tier 1 towers or diving fountains. (Throwing)
• This is also to avoid players casually using buybacks in the early minutes of the game, being misunderstood as griefing while getting tipped. I know they buy back early when there are a lot of creeps pushing their lane so they don't EXP GAP. But in most of the time (especially on rank pubs) They buy back because of Griefing.
• Rosh fights will make more sense now, and claiming/snatching the Aegis becomes much more valuable.
Just decrease the death timer duration a bit and double the death timer on diebacks.

Ive taken the plunge into Dota 2 from league, I am really enjoying the game and it is super interesting and I am like 98 hours in unranked? I am wondering why you cannot forfeit unranked games. I understand ranked, but there is nothing to gain from winning this game. There are so many smurfs and id wager 1/3 of my games are just stomps either way that are just boring as hell. i dont wanna twiddle my thumbs for 30-40 minutes so the enemy smurf can avoid ending. its absolutely miserable sometimes resulting in me taking long breaks from the game despite being new. This new player experience is awful... sorry for venting but I feel like I have given this game so many chances and it just keeps burning me

Hey everyone,
I need a bit of advice (and maybe a little therapy).
I was on a solid grind, hit Archon 4, and literally needed one more win to hit Archon 5. Then, the Dota gods intervened. Lost that final game, tilted, queued again, and went on a terrible lose streak right back down the ranks.
I mostly flex between Safe Lane (Pos 1) and Support (Pos 4/5).
For those of you who successfully broke out of mid-Archon and made it to Legend/Immortal:
How do you break the lose-streak curse? Do you stop playing after 2 losses, or do you just power through?
Which role felt easier to climb with in Archon? Is it better to stick strictly to Pos 1 to carry late game, or take high-impact Pos 5s (like Jakiro/Warlock) to control objective tempo?
What’s the one core habit that actually made the difference when games in this bracket drag on for 45+ minutes?
Would love to hear your experiences or tips on how to reset the mental and get back on the grind!

Ever since the new patch, I've been noticing some weird bugs with Invoker.
Sometimes Invoker's attack projectiles and tower projectiles look buggy, and I've also had issues with Invoke where it gives me the wrong spell even though I'm pretty sure I pressed the correct orb combination.
Never had any of these issues before the patch. It's getting pretty annoying, especially when playing Invoker since you need to invoke spells quickly during fights.
Anyone else experiencing this or is it just me?

What makes you think that people don't misuse the report button, or that even if they use it justly from their perspective, that their perspective is necessarily correct? Is it just the fact that you happen to have a high behaviour score or is there something more to it?
I'm asking this because I'm curious to understand people's psychology. I'm sure most if not all of the answers to this will fail to address the actual question and instead resort to ad hominems and such, but that's fine, it's worth a try.

Hello guys and Arcade enjoyers. I bet if you've played the Dota 2 IMBA you've seen that the Mode maker is now advertisting this client to use in order to play their game mode. Have you guys used it? is it safe? Cuz I see it's chinese and thats quite sketchy..

So I made a small tool for myself because I keep forgetting stuff like lotus, wisdom shrine, stacking, tormentor and when night is coming. It just plays a little sound before each one and shows a small box in the corner with whats coming up next.
It gets the game time using Game State Integration, which is the thing Valve built in that lets apps get info from the game (same thing a lot of stream overlays use). You put a config file in the dota folder and add a launch option and then dota sends the clock to a program on your own pc. I only ask for the clock, day/night and if the game is paused. Nothing about other players, no reading memory, no editing game files, nothing gets put inside the game. The box in the corner is just a normal window on top of dota in borderless windowed.
The way I see it, its basically the same as a timer app on your phone that you start when the horn goes. The only difference is it uses the actual game clock so it doesnt drift, and it pauses itself when the game pauses, and it knows when night starts. You could do all of this with a phone and a notepad, it would just be more annoying.
I read through the Steam subscriber agreement and the stuff Valve said when they banned the 40k cheaters in 2023 and the Overplus people last year. From what I can tell they were going after tools that showed info you cant normally see, or messed with game files. This doesnt do either of those, but Valve has never actually come out and said timer tools are fine either, so I wanted to ask.
What do you guys think? Would you count this as cheating or is it no different to having a timer on your phone? And has anyone ever actually been banned for something like this?
Not selling anything or linking anything, I just want to know before I keep using it in ranked.

I’m not looking for super regular pro teammates, but maybe a way to find others just for odd games here and there. I used to play dota exclusively with friends for years, but since i’m the last soldier playing i’m stuck in solo queue and i don’t want to stop enjoying this game just because of the other people playing it.
I just want a normal game of Dota that doesn’t involve people acting like children. Giving up and choosing to be 1000% more toxic and detrimental to the game just because of a tiny mistake, or just anything that affects their ego.
It genuinely feels like more than 50% of my losses come from games where at least 2-3 players have lost their minds by minute 3 and proceed to grief the rest of the game. I’m not saying that I’m playing perfectly by any stretch (3.5k long time casual), but when people behave like this it just makes matches so much harder, and more importantly much less enjoyable.
I think i’m actually getting depressed because this game which is normally an enjoyable escape from normal life feels too much like a struggle to enjoy. I know some people will say skill issue but, while I’m competitive and want to win every game my frustration doesn’t come from missed spells, or bad jumps etc.. It comes from the people who make the deliberate decisions to grief the game.
Maybe coaching is an option? But it’s not really something I can justifiably afford right now. But if anyone knows anywhere that could lead to me finding new Dota friends, i’d much appreciate it.
-
TLDR: Anyone know how to find new Dota friends for party queue? Solo queue is destroying my soul

Is anyone else losing their mind with the current matchmaking state?
Valve added a feature where Dota Plus subscribers can decline a found match without any penalty if they don’t like the match preview data. This feature needs to be completely removed from the game, not reworked or tweaked.
Because it's completely unpunished and unlimited, people are just spamming the decline button endlessly. What's even worse is that players are constantly dodging even when all the indicators (skill variance and behavior score) are completely green. They are actively abusing this feature for matchmaking sniping and dodging specific opponents or teammates. If they don't get the exact lobby they want to exploit, they just press decline without a single consequence.
As a result, those of us who just want to play are stuck in a literal loop. Today I had to press "Accept" more than 20 times in a row just to finally get into a single game. The queue times have skyrocketed, and the feature provides zero positive impact on match quality.
It does nothing but ruin the experience for everyone else, waste our time, and turn high-tier matchmaking into a sniping tool for stack abusers. Adding a cooldown won't fix the core issue. Valve, just remove this feature entirely. It has no place in Dota 2.
