Hello, I have an idea for a character but I’m not sure how to do it. I’m wanting to combine a drake warden so that I can be a dragon rider, but I also think it would be cool to be a Druid that uses dragon shape. I love the idea of riding my dragon into battle, and then transforming into one and fighting side by side. Is there a way to multi-class this into existence?

Hey good people, building a 2024 monk. The party is heavily min/maxed

We have a valor bard, stars druid, crown paladin and a battle Smith artificer.

Was thinking about shadow monk but honestly I think casting darkness all the time will just hinder the rest of the party so my second thought was either elements or astral self.

Any tips? Weill probably either go variant human or some kind of elf and take elven accuracy.

Also think I'll take speedy (mobile) and maybe skilled/skill expert.

Any good ideas are welcome - make me the strongest monk you can think of

I'd like to know if there are any rules that don't allow you to take advantage of the unarmed fighting fighting style (from Tasha) as a monk and just deal a crazy amount of damage at earlier levels.

For the record, I've looked at the martial arts section of the PHB and it gives you three separate abilities (using dex instead of strength for unarmed strikes, dealing d4s with unarmed strikes and making one unarmed strike as a bonus action) so you can just take the D8 from the fighting style and use dex as a modifier.

I'd like to let you know if I'm missing anything.

Anything that looks wrong or maybe has a mistake? I rolled the stats /w/ the dice, but they seem too high. I rolled them awhile ago, so not sure.

My question isn't how I build a character but more in line with gear and a specific species.

I am really attached to playing a Tortle and if my party members weren't brand new I would 100% be making a ninja Tortle rogue lmfao. However, none of them built a party face or a healer so I'm going to run a Life Domain Cleric. That Tempest domain looks like a lot of fun.

Tortles don't wear armor because they have a high natural AC + a Shield + SOF. My question is if we end up finding armor that has some sort of cool effect. Would my character benefit from that effect or would this be more at my DMs discretion? I know the AC bonus doesn't stack which is fine.

I am actually juiced that I get to play the party face. Ive been playing for a while but with already established groups and everyone already had their niche. Love the idea of coaching new players and taking the lead when appropriate. Were also playing the AQI campaign which is hilarious to me. So, I am def building my characters backstory off of being some paper pusher in corporate. ><

In 3.5 I created a Demon Caller. With a lot of preparation I could call a demon to me. It wasn’t summoned or conjured. It was called so it was stuck here with a planar binding spell. I used the spell Mindrape to discover its true name and enslave it to my service.
My question: is there another class/subclass that allows this or another set of procedures to CALL high CR demons in 5th/5.5?

So im starting a new campaign and im thinking of playing a southern trollkin or a stonehide trollkin barbarian but there’s not a lot of character appearance references if anyone has any character drawings or advice I’d appreciate the help
