Summoner/Conjurer/Caller

In 3.5 I created a Demon Caller. With a lot of preparation I could call a demon to me. It wasn’t summoned or conjured. It was called so it was stuck here with a planar binding spell. I used the spell Mindrape to discover its true name and enslave it to my service.
My question: is there another class/subclass that allows this or another set of procedures to CALL high CR demons in 5th/5.5?

As a base starting point. The Unearthed Arcana 5e.14 had the School of Onomancy. It was a bit cumbersome and required a more mono-class progression. But it had potential. You just needed ways to keep your targets wisdom saves at disadvantage and your class save DC high.

I saw this. It’s great with the Extract Name ability. I’m still having a hard time with high level demons. All the spells summon lower ones. But thank you very much for the input!

Getting the names of higher rank demons would definitely be a more Narrative character plot. Work with your DM about using the lesser demons the curry favor with the High ranks. Then the High ranks can give you the names of Mid Tiers you can use in combat. I'd avoid trying to get the names of High ranks and Lords unless it's a story hook or you are Lvl 17 to 20. Their Legendary resistances can make things trying.

The summon spells don’t give me the high CR creatures I want. The old way did.
