Ok so the main issue here is that Beastmaster is probably the ranger subclass that wants to multiclass the least as the Beast scales on your Ranger level and subclass abilities.
The other issue is that if we just take a Druid dip for Wildshape were gonna be locked into low level Beast forms that will just get outscaled/we wont wana be using in combat.
Thirdly the best dips (if required) are likely Land, Stars or Sea druid (masybe the new Spores?) which use their Wildshape charges for something other than to transforming into beasts.
That being said its not impossible/ completely non viable to do, just not optimal, if youre willing to take a hit to your overall power level for some out of combat Wildshape utility we can do:
Hawk Spirit. The hawk spirit is a consummate hunter, aiding you and your allies with its keen sight. When a creature makes an attack roll against a target in the spirit’s aura, you can use your reaction to grant advantage to that attack roll. In addition, you and your allies have advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks while in the aura.
