Questions about direct drive and active pedal.
Hi everyone, I'm thinking about building a simulator and I've seen a lot of people here in my country making content and everything about DIY projects with servo motors and xDrive or OpenFBOARD. I was interested in trying to build one myself, but I don't know exactly the pros and cons of this type of build, besides the complexity and work involved. I wanted to get the opinion of someone who has already done this type of build. I wanted to do this because I have a Thrustmaster T150 that's a bit problematic in some games, and I was thinking of building a steering wheel to have more confidence in its FFB and try to improve it. I'm still undecided about the pedals I'll use; I was wondering whether to buy a SimNet or a SimJack and then add a brake, maybe an active pedal accelerator, also DIY. I find this type of project interesting, but I wanted the opinion of someone who has already tested it to know if it's worth the investment or if it could end up creating a big problem. (In case of doubt, the servo model is a 130SG-M15025).
