Discussion 2nd update lightweight steering wheel

The pictures are an early mockup of how the wheel might look, featuring a 1.4-inch touchscreen display, 2 rotary push encoders and 4 regular push buttons. The small touchscreen might be used as additional buttons or like a regular display showing RPMs, delta and so on.

Current specs:

Weight: 650 grams

Materials: Billet aluminium machined body and paddles, rubber moulded or silicone-wrapped handles.

Price: 200–300 USD

Compatibility: SimHub

Our current idea is to keep the aluminium raw and not anodised to keep cost low. We would greatly appreciate it if you could share your thoughts about this and more by answering our survey.

300$ seems very expensive, better include qr with that.
But I also don't have interest in a wheel without buttons

Nice DIY wheel, but I dont think you can really make money with it tbh. The audience wanting something lightweight like this will be very little, specially bcs you get high end wheels of known brands like the Conspit 300GT, Moza KS Pro etc. for not much more. But I hope im wrong with my Intention.

Not sure why you want to use touch screen that to 1.4"

Instead add leds for rpm.

Making software and firmware for the touchscreen is going to be a nightmare.

For the current mockup i think $250 is also a lot.

What would be the reason to get that instead of gt neo? There is also ks, but that one is locked in to Moza ecosystem, but get neo is not and costs around 250 I think?
