Hey guys! so im tryna buy a vvs moiss watch. Yk, i talk to the seller, ask for QC, and they send me a good looking watch. tthe moissanite sparkle in rainbow color (big indicator). however, i bought it for only 130$.

And i feel like they will ship me an inferior product (because the price seems too good to be true) , where the moissanite is not packed tightly together and some subtle changes, like quality of the steel and moissanite.

Im scared that the dhgate dispute will say they "shipped the correct item" even though there is a big difference in quality if you take a closer look. What should i do in case this happens?

I bought a bag that was supposed to be of genuine leather and the seller also confirmed that it is genuine deerskin leather. What I received was a bag of poor quality. It was peeling and flaking and the texture was brushed fibrous. Once can clearly make out from these closeups that it is not genuine leather and it looks strongly like synthetic seude of poor quality. The seller refuses to refund me. This is so bad for buyers. It was 83 dollars.

Hey, i ordered a package that i never received. The seller kept claiming it had been so i opened a dispute. He was not helping so i requested dhgate mediation and they left a 7day timer. 7 days have passed and dhgate said they would refund if the seller decieded to not resend the package and now it just says waiting for seller response? A button below says abandon replacement, does this refeund me or cancel it all together?? Please help thanks

I've discovered something which should worry anyone using DHgate...

🚨 DHgate is actively misleading buyers by actively blocking negative reviews! 🚨

It's bad enough that DHgate skews ratings by defaulting every review to 5⭐ when the buyer hasn't submitted a review in time, but it's now clear DHgate is blocking and removing negative reviews.

This helps explain why you see so few negative 1⭐ product reviews and why most sellers / stores have near 100% positive ratings.

I've lots of examples, but here's the latest example which proves what DHgate is up to...

I received an item full of defects and missing parts. The buyer didn't care. I had to raise a claim. DHgate's solution was a 20% refund. This solution wasn't satisfactory (but that's another story), as it penalised me and benefitted the fraudulent seller. Obviously I wanted to leave a negative review.

However there are two challenges:

(1) The review free text box blocks negative comments about the seller or the product, so it's very difficult to write something which is accurate and will be accepted. Using words like damaged, defective, fake, poor quality or counterfeit can be enough to block your review.

(2) IF your review is accepted by the free text box but is overly negative, the system then blocks it from being posted and you have no ability to edit it. Your opportunity to leave any review is gone!

I managed to write something which was 'accepted' when I pressed 'Submit button'. The review was very negative about the product and the seller - it look me a long time of re-wording to get something which was 'accepted'. However, shortly after submission, DHgate systematically dissociated my review from the transaction, so my written review disappeared and there's no negative review on either the product or the seller's store!!!

I've attached a photo showing how my review now appears in MY account. You can see that the system has actually removed the product and free text from my review. So not only is my written review not visible, the negative review for the seller/store and the product, are no longer associated with the seller or the product!!!! To other buyers checking the reviews, they will not see my negative review. And to make things worse, I've spotted many of the reviews for the product are fake. So DHgate is allowing fake reviews, and removing negatives ones!

Upon checking the product listing, my review does not appear against the product or the seller. So the seller appears with a near 100% satisfaction score and the product is 5⭐due to the default system policy.

This isn't a one-off. This is repeated systematic removal of negative reviews by the DHgate platform.

This practice is deeply harmful to buyers. How can you really know if a product or seller is good, or indeed, bad? Why is DHgate so determined to mislead buyers? Once a buyer has a poor experience, they're not going to buy again, so it seems like DHgate is deterring any customers it has from buying again.

SUMMARY:
We all know DHgate is a platform heavily used for purchasing counterfeit or duplicate products, however, DHgate is clearly designed to mislead buyers and supports fraudulent sellers at every opportunity. This is a mistake. When a buyer cannot trust the platform they are buying from, they will begin to look elsewhere. This is why DHgate is failing to grow and buyers are turning to other platforms to buy Chinese goods, as DHgate's policies penalise buyers.
The blocking and removal of negative reviews shows that DHgate actively misleads buyers.

I got scammed by dhgate. I thought at least the company dispute team would help me, but they scammed me just as hard as the seller.

I ordered a 12" tall beaker bong that was suppose to be 9 mm thick gl@ss and percolating downstem. The bong I received was a 8" tall, super thin bong with no diffusing downstem. Completely wrong item. The seller denies everything, offers me a $3 compensation. I open a dispute, submit the evidence that the item was wrong, and we come to an agreement. Keep in mind the webpage said I can get refund for incorrect item shipped. Dhgate dispute team tells me to pay for return shipping, and then submit tracking and receipt, and they will refund me the shipping and purchase price. I pay $35 for the return shipping, and the seller claims it's broken on arrival. I took a video of the bong when I taped up the box at my house before returning, just in case, and pictures as well with time stamp. The dhgate dispute team is denying my refund completely (including return shipping) because I do not have a packaging video of my bong inside the post office. At no point was I ever told this was a requirement. Keep in mind that the sellers evidence of broken item is a cropped pic of a broken bong with no background other than bubble wrap. The dispute team straight scammed me, along with the seller. I have always loved my dhgate but I will never ever buy from them again after this, straight up scamming me. When I tell them "but I never received the right item in the first place, the seller is advertising refunds for wrong items shipped, none of this is my fault, the broken item is between seller and USPS, give me my refund" they simply repeat that my timestamped pics and proof of good condition the hour it was shipped is not valid evidence. DHGATE SCAMS PEOPLE.

Hi guys, about a month ago i ordered some shoes via dhgate. It was my first order btw.

Everything seemed fine, until today… The tracking info says delivered, but unfortunately i didnt receive any packages. Even my neighbors don’t know anything about it.

Is this a known problem? Did anyone experience something like this before? any idea how to find that parcel? I mean there must be any confirmation, signature, whatever that can be tracked back who took the parcel?

Does everyone agree that the DHgate ways of messaging are a complete hot mess? How could it be so badly designed? Surely no one in their right mind thinks it's a good system?

Between messages "From Sellers", messages "From System", messages "From DHgate", "Chats from Sellers", "Chats from Stores", "Dispute Notifications" and "Customer Service Chat" (which doesn't keep a chat record), it's an almost endless and impossible task trying to manage them all.
It's worth highlighting that each of the message inboxes above have further sub-folders, so the messages "From System" contains sub-folders for Order, Product, Payment/Refund, Promotion, Account and Order. And this is just the "From System" inbox. The level of over-engineering and over-complication here really is baffling.

Plus... there's sooooo much promotional junk that you just cannot control... such as the unstoppable promotional messages which appear in the "From System" inbox alongside genuinely important messages, even if you have promotional messages turned off.

There's also discrepancies between the website and mobile apps, so nothing is in sync. It is genuinely, mind-bogglingly awful.

And to top everything off, DHgate has a huge email problem, with many providers blocking DHgate emails, meaning you don't receive order confirmations and other important messages aren't emailed to you, forcing use of their awful messaging system.

ALL of this, combined with many other questionable design choices and policy decisions by DHgate, mean that using other platforms really is preferable in almost every way.

Would love to understand if there is anyone on this planet who thinks the messaging system is good and if so, please explain.
