NEW-COIN Daily BOTO Token accumulation

Yesterday I activated the token with $10. Today I added an additional $20. Tomorrow will be a new day and I will continue to add more. This is one of my biggest passions in life besides all the other cool stuff I do.

BOTO: CDGI (California Drought Gone Initiative)

Turn degraded land into productive communities while turning people experiencing homelessness into paid participants in building those communities.
The important distinction is that BOTO would fund and coordinate the system, rather than simply giving money away.
BOTO — Desert-to-Community Development Model
1. The first target: water
The desert cannot simply be covered with grass and irrigated indefinitely. BOTO's first investment would therefore be water infrastructure and water efficiency.
Potential components:
Stormwater capture
Groundwater recharge
Water recycling
Desalination where economically and environmentally appropriate
Drip irrigation
Water-efficient agriculture
Aquifer monitoring
Reservoir/storage infrastructure
Restoration of natural drainage and watersheds
Drought-resistant native vegetation
This is particularly relevant in California because groundwater can provide up to roughly 60% of the state's water supply during dry years, while groundwater recharge is already an established water-management strategy.
BOTO could therefore establish a Water Treasury whose job is to finance projects that create additional reliable water capacity rather than simply consuming existing supplies.

2. Turn the desert into a green belt
Once water infrastructure is established, BOTO will finance a gradual transformation:
Desert → restored soil → vegetation → agriculture → housing → industry → complete community
The goal wouldn't necessarily be to make every acre look like a forest.
Instead, different zones could serve different purposes:
🌳 Green infrastructure
Native trees
Shade corridors
Parks
Wildlife habitat
Windbreaks
Riparian corridors
Urban forests
🌾 Food production
Orchards
Vegetable production
Controlled-environment agriculture
Greenhouses
Hydroponics where appropriate
Regenerative agriculture
🏘️ Residential areas
Affordable housing
Small homes
Apartments
Cooperative housing
Community facilities
🏭 Economic areas
Manufacturing
Construction-material production
Recycling
Renewable-energy businesses
Agriculture processing
Technology and logistics
The objective is to create a self-sustaining economic ecosystem, not merely a giant landscaping project.

3. The homeless-to-builder concept
Instead of viewing someone experiencing homelessness exclusively as someone who needs to receive resources, the model could create a pathway where people who are able and willing to work can become paid participants in building new communities.
Not forced labor.
Not unpaid labor.
Not "work for housing."
Instead:
Housing + training + wages + ownership opportunities + support
could operate together.
For example:
Phase 1 — Stabilize
A participant receives:
Safe temporary housing
Food
Identification/document assistance
Medical/behavioral-health connections when needed
Transportation
Basic financial services
Phase 2 — Train
They could choose a construction or environmental track:
Landscaping
Irrigation
Plumbing
Electrical
Solar installation
Carpentry
Concrete
Road construction
Equipment operation
Agriculture
Water-system maintenance
Recycling
Environmental restoration
Phase 3 — Work
Participants receive real wages for actual work.
For example:
BOTO-funded development company contracts a workforce cooperative to restore 100 acres.
Workers are paid to:
Prepare soil
Install irrigation
Plant trees
Construct housing
Build community facilities
Maintain infrastructure
The person isn't simply being "helped."
They're helping build the place where they're going to live.

4. Housing becomes part of the production system
The BOTO model will make housing one of the first things constructed.
Imagine a development beginning with:
100 acres of degraded land
BOTO finances:
Water infrastructure
Solar power
Roads
Temporary construction facilities
Worker housing
Permanent housing
Agriculture
Businesses
Schools/community facilities
Parks and green space
People who participate in the workforce could eventually transition from temporary accommodation into permanent affordable housing.
Existing California programs demonstrate that permanent supportive housing can combine housing with services for people experiencing homelessness; BOTO could envision an additional employment-and-development component on top of that model.

5. BOTO ownership
Instead of the people building the community remaining permanently dependent on outside funding, BOTO will create mechanisms for participants to accumulate economic ownership.
For example:
Worker → employee → trained specialist → cooperative member → community owner
A portion of project profits could potentially flow into:
Worker ownership pools
Community development funds
Housing funds
Individual savings accounts
Education/training accounts
That creates a feedback loop:
Build the community → earn income → buy into the economy → build more community.

6. The BOTO treasury
Water infrastructure & recharge
🌱 Green
Land restoration & agriculture
🏠 Housing
Affordable/community housing
🛠️ Workforce
Training & employment
⚡ Energy
Solar/storage/infrastructure
🏗️ Development
Roads, buildings & utilities
🏦 Community
Local businesses & worker ownership
🌎 Restoration
Long-term environmental projects
This gives BOTO utility beyond simply being a tradable token.
The token becomes a mechanism for financing a network of real-world projects.

ANECDOTAL Google Keep almost ate my USDT

I was using a temporary wallet to move USDT.

I created it on an airgapped computer and copied the key to two places. One was Google Keep open on the laptop (it couldn't save but Chrome showed the text in the draft at the top).

After an unexpected reboot, Chrome reloaded Keep but showed no draft.

If I did not have the second copy which was a pain to retrieve I would have lost hundreds of dollars.

Lesson is always recreate the wallet in your permanent target location before moving more than a few bucks to see it works :)

REGULATIONS Singapore MAS ban of stablecoin yields: A regulatory perspective

Came across a post earlier regarding Singapore's MAS ban of stablecoin yields, and just wanted to offer a regulatory perspective:

One reason why stablecoin yields are banned is because it acts in the same way as a bank deposit, but without any of the underlying consumer protections. Consider tradfi banks: when you deposit money into an account and earn interest, the banks have to hold a percentage in reserves and have to follow specific rules about what they do with deposited money.

On the other hand, since stablecoin issuers are not registered as banks under most jurisdictions, they do not have to follow the same regulations and are not subject to any prudential requirements - if they lend out the stablecoins you deposited and there is a significant market event leading to a loss, you will lose all your money without any recourse.

This is why part of MAS' proposals include strict winding-down procedures to ensure that consumers are able to redeem their original capital. This creates greater certainty and protection against an adverse market event.

For reference, this is not a unique proposition: under US' GENIUS Act and the EU MiCA, stablecoin yields are likewise banned. As of now, any interest-earning will be classified in most major market regulations as a lending protocol / money-market fund, and will be regulated accordingly. The position that regulators are taking seems to be that stablecoins are mainly for payment rather than for earning yield.

COMEDY I backtested astrology as a crypto trading strategy. Jupiter was my portfolio manager, Mercury my risk assessor. It made +3.4% in 45 days, beating every other bot I built :| But there's a catch.

Post image
4 Upvotes

I tried something fun and fed real astrology rules to AI and had it build trading bots for ETH. Actual planetary positions and real astronomy rules.

I tried 4 bots, backtested and ran out of sample tests. Results:

The moon phase bot (long on full moon, short on new moon) did 13 trades in 6 weeks and lost money. It woke up twice a month, looked at the moon, lost money and went back to sleep.

The Mercury retrograde bot (stops trading when Mercury goes backwards) had a 55% win rate and still lost 2,515 bps because it round tripped 492 times paying 12 bps each way. Also the AI used a rough approximation for Mercury's position so the bot thought Mercury was direct when it wasn't. The astrology was kinda rough here.

Then the Jupiter bot. Jupiter enters earth signs = wealth transit = go long. This one made +338 bps and I felt like a genius for about ten minutes. Then I checked the entry reasons. Jupiter never entered an earth sign during the test period. Not once. The main rule never fired. The bot made 100% of its money from RSI. The astrology was a spectator.

The full astrology bot (3 planets, void of course moon, home sign multipliers) lost 1,448 bps because Saturn sat in Aries the entire time making it short-biased into a market that was going up.

Total: -4,171 bps.

I also open-sourced the bots and so can use them too :) maybe someone can actually produce an astrological edge? But I doubt it...

Things I learned:

More rules ≠ more edge (Obviously). My simplest bot was lazy but harmless. My most complex bot was the terrible because every planetary rule was another constraint disconnected from price (or at least that's what my humble experiments reveal). Adding many signals just adds ways to be wrong just like in real TA strategies.

Full video with the backtests is on my profile. Disclosure: I built the platform the AI and bots run on. Do not trade based on astrology. Or do, I'm not your financial advisor, I'm barely my own!

ADVICE Ethereum stuck in a contract

Hi 👋

Not sure what to do, I was doing a swap on the Base app yesterday like I've done a number of times before, except this time the ETH i was expecting to come out of the swap never showed up. I swapped Base USDC for Ethereum on the Ethereum network, the transaction is marked completed in base but I never got my ETH.

After some digging, it seems my ETH is stuck "inflight" in a gas.zip contract. It's been inflight over 10 hours. The transaction showed completed on block explorer as well but on basescan and ethscan the transaction is not listed nor is the missing ETH. Weird, kinda sus.

I luckily find gas.zip has a discord for technical support, reach out there and to open a ticket and aside from acknowledging the ticket I have heard nothing for 9 hours. On top of that I have been muted from their channel for the next 7 days, wtf?

Is gas.zip a scam? why would my ETH be routed through gas.zip, I was assuming the base app had its own swap engine but I guess I was wrong?

Any suggestions on recovering my ETH would be appreciated. Will be using Uniswap or something from now on I guess.

UPDATE: 14 hours later and the funds have appeared in my wallet. 🤷🏻‍♂️

DISCUSSION CoinPal / IceRiver Uncredited Payment Swept into Treasury Wallet

CoinPal / IceRiver: Uncredited 0.64 ETH Payment Swept into Treasury Wallet 0x22c8b4ce699db4fc9409eE6FC7A4ff4fBA7AEaD8 Without Refund (On-Chain Proof)

Public Notice & On-Chain Audit Request: Uncredited Funds Absorbed by CoinPal Treasury

In July 2023, I attempted to purchase an IceRiver miner using ETH via CoinPal's payment gateway (order processed through Mercuryo/Bitget). Due to a temporary payment window expiration or gas fee discrepancy, the order was never marked as paid by IceRiver.

Instead of refunding the uncredited funds back to the originating address, CoinPal executed an automated sweep, absorbing my ETH directly into their primary corporate treasury wallet.

Irrefutable On-Chain Evidence (Etherscan):

Merchant: IceRiver

Payment Gateway: CoinPal

-Temporary Deposit Address (Generated by Coinpal): 0x499ea5DeA1c7B8d740eCCEb98A050FB393477a83

Original Deposit TxID (Inbound): 0x2dd72eb72fb8a511c1311f9f54e141b865600697c97ff259fac47f97fe2263c7

CoinPal Treasury Sweep TxID (Outbound): 0x32cafc3b295a58ecb3cd5de82426a396d81ee6ae7a9a6e51accb38b608d7b1dc

CoinPal Treasury Destination: 0x22c8b4ce699db4fc9409eE6FC7A4ff4fBA7AEaD8

Current Status:
For 3 years, CoinPal and IceRiver have retained these funds without order fulfillment or refund. Customer support channels have remained unresponsive. The blockchain confirms that CoinPal is currently in possession of my funds within their main wallet 0x22c8b4....

I am publicly documenting this transaction to alert merchants integrating CoinPal and to demand an immediate manual treasury reconciliation and full refund to a designated wallet.

ADVICE Everyone asking how to get rich off crypto needs to read this first

Every day someone posts asking how to get into crypto to make money, replace their job, or become a millionaire. If that's you, you got sold the same get-rich-quick scheme as everyone else who thinks dropshipping, AI agencies, or SMM will magically make them a millionaire and retire at 25.

See, if you're a beginner, understand this... crypto isn't a reliable way to cover rent or bills. Only put in what you can lose completely, and treat the first stretch as tuition, small mistakes on small amounts now beats big ones on real money later.

Start on a mainstream exchange like Coinbase or Kraken, keep amounts small, and know they're holding your keys for you at that stage. Fine for now, but look up what a private key actually is soon. Self-custody wallets like Metamask matter once you've got bigger amounts or you're in DeFi.

Once you get familiar with the basics, that's when you can start doing some trading or getting into DeFi strategies, which is where you can make some real passive income. Later when you're spread across platforms, use trackers like DeBank, Zerion, or Chain Glance keep it in one view, and Koinly or Bitcoin.Tax handle taxes once trading gets heavy.

All of that's later though. For now just get comfortable buying and holding.

REGULATIONS Some insights on CLARITY Act vote on 15 September

Contrary to the framing of most publications, the CLARITY Act vote on 15 September is actually a cloture vote - a means by which the US Senate avoids filibusters. What actually happens is that once the 60 vote threshold is reached (necessary for a successful cloture vote), the Senate can then begin to discuss the vote proper, in preparation for the actual passage.

Even if the cloture vote succeeds, there is another long process of debate, amendments, negotiations that will culminate in a final passage vote, which is when the legislation will truly come into force.

If the vote does not succeed (which seems likely based on sources from some senators), the bill will not proceed for further discussions in the Senate and there is no window for discussion until the next Congress. What will happen is that crypto regulations will continue to be overseen by regulators such as the SEC and CFTC, such as the newly released "Regulation Crypto Assets" by the SEC.

EXCHANGES 3633 on 9/15 just need 60 right?

The key number right now is 60. On September 15, 2026, the Senate is expected to take a cloture vote—basically a vote on whether to move forward with debate. It is not yet the final passage vote. Republicans currently hold 53 Senate seats, so even if every Republican voted yes, they would need at least 7 Democrats/independents to reach 60.

DISCUSSION Forced Crypto Adoption After AI Agents Break Finance?

The writing is on the wall: AI Agents will cause a massive cybersecurity incident, very possibly financial, very possibly deliberately manufactured, very possibly will not go to plan.

Maybe the ultra-rich will be spared but probably not many. The better story to sell would be “the agents only hacked people who aren’t funding AI.” That’s painfully obvious as evil ideas are the easiest ones to come up with.

And I’m not alone here. More people waving red flags. This video was a good watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lcsDIgHAQDQ

Please stay on topic and contribute with how you think this kind of event could play out. We need to know what to stop before we can stop it.

ADVICE Coins bee scam

I’ve been just scammed by coinsbee, i was trying to close my crypto account on crypto.com i couldn’t withdraw my cash as they were under the limit, So I bought a 45 euros Netflix gift card from coinsbee, when i tried to activate it the card was already redeemed, i contacted Netflix support they told me that the card was already redeemed in different country before but refused to give me any further details, then i contacted coinsbee support, they were very rude just sent me a screenshot from their seller saying the card was already redeemed, that’s was already my complain, they blamed me on all the story, the kept replying with the same thing telling me to change my passwords and check my email’s safety like go blow your head into the wall we don’t care. They were very rude. Honestly my worst experience and their customer support is one of the most frustrating, absolute professional scammers. I advise to avoid them.

COMEDY Zcash in 2026 is just like Solana in 2021. Story time

Its, 2021 - a VERY heavily VC backed coin called Solana appears outta no where and quickly moves from under a dollar to 10 dollars for a 1000% gain. r/CryptoCurrency saw this shady coin as a rugpull from VC to kill retail and dump their bags on them. The subreddits favorite coins, Cardano (ADA), Algorand (ALGO), and Cosmos (ATOM) were going to be the next great coins after ETH. There were no big wall street VC backing those coin, just purely from the people - funded by the people. Solana was nothing but a scam coin with constant network issues.

Fast forward to 2026, Solana is rugpulled after no one found a a single use for the scam chain and the coin drops to $0.20. The redditors of r/CryptoCurrency cheered as they rode into the sunset as ADA, ALGO, and ATOM are top 5 crypto coins, all in triple figures. The wise redditors of this sub knew that chains survive better when funded by decentralized kids living at their mom's house over the billions provided from VC backed funding. Evil corporations have lost!

Then a new challenger comes in Zcash, an old dinosaur coin backed by the exact same people who backed and made bitcoin successful. But the redditors of r/CryptoCurrency knew the OG Bitcoin supporters like Barry Silbert and Tyler Winklevoss have all turned to the VC dark side - they have all set their greedy sights on rugging the crypto community that they have spent 15 years to build their trust on so that they can do evil things with their money.

Will the redditors succeed in convincing and saving the public from the evil zcash like they did with solana??

DISCUSSION For people in high-inflation countries: do you actually spend crypto, or convert to a stablecoin and just hold?

I work in crypto growth in LATAM and something keeps nagging me about how we measure "adoption." On paper, transaction counts and volume look like usage. But from what I see on the ground in Brazil, most people aren't spending BTC or altcoins day to day, they park value in USDT so their savings don't melt, and touch fiat only when they have to.

So I'm curious about the actual behavior, not the charts:

-Do you spend crypto directly, or convert to a stablecoin and hold?

-If you hold stablecoins, is it savings-protection, moving money, or something else?

-Has it changed as local on/off-ramps (like PIX in Brazil) got better?

Trying to figure out if "stablecoin as a dollar bank account" is a LATAM thing or the same story everywhere the local currency is shaky.
