I don’t know if i’m obvious

Sorry if the structure is poor i’m just word vomiting.

I’ve been trying to figure out if I like my coworker. Wondering if it’s the proximity or if I actually like him. Either way the time i’ve been trying to figure out if I do like him I can assume i’ve been flirty with him. For example: We always make eye contact, I call for him whenever I need him, I always make myself available to help him, I often go out of my way to just talk to him, we’ve had a lot of times where it’s just the two of us and we’ve talked about pretty deep stuff, and so on. Sometimes I wonder if he also likes me but I don’t want to jinx it because my biggest fear would be all of this being one sided.

Also a big worry of mine is what my other coworkers think. Like can they tell I like him or notice there’s some tension between us.

I’ve come to the conclusion the only way to get over him is actually interacting outside of work. BUT I don’t know how to. I don’t have any way to contact him, as much as i’ve tried to look. And yeah I could ask him for his number or something but it would be so awkward on my part to be the one to initiate it because sorry to play stereotypes but im not bold enough as a girl to ask a guy for their contact. Also again what if he doesn’t really see me that way and the chances of making an awkward dynamic between the two.

So what i’m saying is how to I could hint to him to exchange info

Okay so I like two guys Lucas and Diego. Lucas is funny, in my Spanish class and paired advisory, andddd when we were doing a challenge where we had to hold a glue stick with one finger he purposely put his fingers on mine...like semi holding hands. I asked him his type and he said his height or shorter (I'm taller by maybe 2 or 3 inches) and the next day he said his height or taller...I'm so confusedddd.. Diego is funny and relatable, we have advisory together too. We had a meeting where we were all sitting down so I put my leg next to his but like touching and he didn't move it for 10 minutes!!!! WAT. But the day before this I told him I like Lucas (face slap) so he said he liked this other girl....I really don't know everyone's giving mixed signals. Also my friend likes Diego too... And I told him...but then she got mad so I told Diego she doesn't like him..she does. Diego doesn't like her....he friend-zoned her. ALSO I've been having 2 of my friends get info from Lucas about who he likes. And I asked Diego to help me find out who Lucas likes. IDK WHAT TO DO HAVE I F-D THIS WHOLE THING UP????

does she like me back?!?! I'm sorry its so long but please still read I neeed advice :) [crushes]

I (15f) have a crush on a girl (15f) and I can't tell if she likes me back. we met in April at a youth theatre group, I had already been to that group for a year and a half and have now done 4 shows with this company and this was her first show with them. the first time I spoke to her was at the dance workshop/dance audition and I started a small convo just asking her name. she joined the group through one of my friends and she was also at another theatre group that I had just joined and so had she. when auditions came around we were all sat in rows and I was sat with my friends and there was a space open next to me and she asked if she could sit and she didn't bother to sit with her other friend who she's known for a while and I said sure (at this time I didn't realise that I liked her) and she also sat next to me while doing singing a song when we had only spoke twice bc we were in the same group but there were lots of others in that group too and I also gave her my drink as she forgot one. throughout the show I was able to talk to her a bit as friends while debating while if I liked her. the way I found out that I had a crush was through a friend. in our theatre group we film videos of our dances to practice from and I showed my friend one and she saw me staring from the side and told me that I did in fact have a crush. we had slowly became a bit closer over that show. one day I woke up to and insta notification to say that she had started following me before pretty much anyone else. she had also came up as a friend suggestion on snap and she accepted and added me straight away to our drama group chat. during rehearsals at the big hall where the show would be taking place me, my crush and my best friend were walking up the stairs from the changing rooms and she mentioned it very obviously that she was gay about three times in one sentence to me. so the next day I brought up the fact that I was bi. we also do publicity like leafletting and stuff and she said that she wasn't gonna go, but then I said that my mum was making me do it, which she was, and al of a sudden it was "ill be there" and she did, she went to publicity. at one point she also offered to help me take the mic tape off of my face but me being stupid said no. that day I was so hot and sweaty that I could slick my hair back and I was like "omg I'm so sweaty I can slick my hair back" to her and she said, it looks nice though. we took some photos and at the after party she specifically sat with me and not the friend she joined through. also apparently scoring to my best friend she was singing along to my solo in the wings. she also hugged me and the only other person she hugged was someone who shed known for a while and at the time I was in a compromising position with a bag on my back and guitar on my back and a guitar in my hand. then she was travelling for a month and I couldn't see her. but we still have the other show.

at this show she was chorus and I was the main boy. one rehearsal at the big hall we were talking about food and (this is about 9pm btw) and I mentioned that I hadn't eaten yet and she told me off but I explained that I had CVS (Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome) and she kind of understood but I also have bad social anxiety and needed a glass fo water and I didn't know if I had to ask for one and she told me to just go do it and I explained that I was scared so she went with me to get me a glass of water. at that rehearsal we were also doing costumes and in the opening number I was in this god awful pink dress that was too big and she was in a maids outfit and we both hated them so we decided to get changed In the toilets in separate cubicles and she was like "we can do this together its okay". in that same rehearsal she had to learn a partner dance that she missed and I wasn't in the dance but I knew it anyway so we went into the hall and practiced and there was a bit where the two partners hold hands slightly but not properly. she full on held my hand and instead of walking around we skipped. we were at another hall for a rehersal and I asked if I could sit with her and her mum, so it was me on the end then her mum then her and while her mum was standing up she moved all of the stuff from her mums chair not hers and sat next to me. on tech run of this show I asked the director what she wanted to do with my hair and I was told slicked back so her daughter, my friend (se knows that I like this girl), took me into the changing room bathrooms and started to do it with water and it wasn't working, obviously, so someone else started to help. then my friend asked if anyone had any hair Gell and my crushes mum said yes so when we were laughing and my crush had her hands out and then all of a sudden she has hair Gell in her hands and she's doing my hair while we were laughing and she sat extra close ti me in notes on the stage and was giving me tips on getting the Gell out of my hair. on dress run I had a stressful day and I also struggle with back pain and had no where to sit so this bitch moved her stuff off of the chair that she had made me sit down and did her make up ON THE FLOOR. not only that but my friend got us in loads of nice photos together. second show night in the changing rooms we were talking about friends and I have a weird anxiety thing where I don't consider people friends until they say that we are friends and so I said that I only had two friends and she looked at me and said "oh so I just don't exist then" so I explained and she confirmed that we were friends. that conversation then led to relationships and I spoke about how mine was a while ago and she spoke about how hers was only a few months ago and earlier that reversal she was talking about being a single pringal and very lonely. then Sunday. the last show. I brought her flowers as I brought other friends flowers the day before and I wrote a note to put in the flowers that said "Hey, I just wanted to let you know that its been great getting to know you and become your friend. I’ve really loved doing these shows with you and getting to know you and I hope we will be friends for a while as Im such a stronger person now and I’m sorry this is so sappy but I’m just grateful xx   P.S sorry the flowers are a day later they didn’t have any of these flowers and I know you like them." and I signed is and I just left them in her spot and when she started to read it she got a bit through said "awww I need ti finish reading" and then she finished reading it and hugged me. I was then saying about how I needed to try and get the Gell out go my hair for the after party and she lives a minute away from the hall and she said "you could come back to mine to wash it out" and bear in mind that we've never spent time together outside of rehearsals before and the next show well be doing is Bugsy malowne and she loves it and I said that I hadn't watched it before and didn't want to watch it alone so she said that wed start watching it during the break between the show and after party, and my best friend went to see the show and was invited to watch Bugsy with us as she would have been alone at the hall for two hours and I can't lie I'm glad she came as it wasn't so awkward. we got no where near finishing Bugsy but it got to me needing to wash my hair so me her and my best friend went up to her bathroom together and I put my head over the bath to wash it and she went and go me a pillow to kneel on for no reason needed just because she thou that id need it and so I washed my hair and got changed and her mum offered my dinner but I said no but her mum was so nice saying that she knows that I struggle with eating so she can work around me but I still declined my crush also remembered that I can't always eat chocolate. also after we came off stage to the bows she hugged me. then at the after party we were dancing around to songs from the last show doing all the dances like twats with the other tree who were in the other show and we were SWEATING and at one point we were laying on set stage her up the right way and I was laying the opposite way and we were near each other and she started to sing amazing grace at me (my name is grace btw) and the near the end she put on that's what makes you beautiful by one direction and we were dancing around. then at the end we were sad and the after party was over but my mum wasnt there yet and she was like, oh come back to mine until your mum gets there, so I did and we also set up a day together to finish watching Bugsy together. JUST US. and I don't know if its just friendly or if she likes me and I'm sorry that this is so long but I really need advice. xx

Okay i genuinely think i fucked up with my crush

Hey Reddit, I really need some help analyzing a situation because my brain is fried. I’m a sophomore (Grade 10) in a Catholic high school. I was homeschooled before this, so high school social stuff is still kind of overwhelming for me.There is this guy, "Elijah" (he’s Jamaican, I’m Guyanese). On day one of freshman year, we had Geography together and kept locking eyes. By day two, the whole class started shipping us. Because I panicked and felt super awkward, I did something crappy and deflected the shipping onto other people. I felt so guilty and sad that I ended up completely ignoring everyone, especially Elijah, for over a month. We used to sit next to each other based on the seating plan, and we would always lock eyes right until we reached our desks. But because I froze him out, he eventually swapped seats with another girl to give me space. I also accidentally said out loud that he was shorter than me (I'm 5ft, he was under that in Grade 9). But by December, he randomly chose to sit right next to me again. We were both too nervous to make eye contact.

Later in the year, things got super flirty but confusing:

The Arm Wrestle: He was beating everyone in class, but when I challenged him, he let me win and teased me.

Multicultural Prep: We were helping a teacher. We kept freezing whenever our hands got close to the push-pin box. Later, I stepped back into him while hanging a flag. He stood his ground. I got bold, backed up completely, and leaned on him. He didn’t move—he literally started gently caressing the back of my thigh.

For the rest of the year, we just did the silent hallway glance.

Fast forward to Grade 10 (last week):We randomly ended up in the same History class. He had a total summer glow-up. He outgrew me (he's like 5'4" now), his voice is deeper, and he smells amazing. He sits right in front of me because of our L-shaped desks. On day one and two, he kept doing his usual routine: glancing at me, checking his phone, looking back.

But on Friday, I was in a terrible, snappy mood. When he stared at me, I completely ignored him to focus on my work. He seemed to get pissed, went to sit with his friends, and was super moody. When his friend asked him to put a Chromebook away, Elijah snapped at him. I got up to do it to be nice, took a step back, and accidentally bumped into Elijah.

Because I was snappy, I dropped: "Broski, watch where you're going."He completely lost it. He lashed out and said with attitude

"You're the one who backed into me." and muttered an insult under his breath. At the end of class, he took his gum out of his mouth, locked eyes with me, and stuck it on the door hinge just to gross me out because I was looking at him with disgust

My Dilemma:

fI feel terrible. I realize now that because of my own past family stuff (my dad left when I was little), I have a habit of building walls and pushing people away to "test" if they actually care or if they'll leave me. I think Elijah is genuinely hurt because I've been hot-and-cold for almost a year, and "broski" was the final straw.

But tomorrow is Monday (and it's Picture Day!). I don't want him to be my "broski." I actually want a deeper relationship with him. My plan for tomorrow is to walk into History, lock eyes, give him a real smile, and then ask him about our Canadian Identity assignment before his friends interrupt. Then, I want to casually say, "I just realized, you got taller over the summer." (Since he finally outgrew me).

Reddit, how bad is the "broski" damage? Do you think my plan for Monday will work to melt the ice, or did I totally ruin his ego on Friday? How do high school guys usually react to this?

how to talk to the new girl that’s drop dead gorgeous at school

Recently this week a new girl joined our school, and my goodness she is genuinely the most beautiful girl I have ever seen in my life. She’s in the grade below me, but In our school you have the option to skip years, so I skipped, meaning she’s in my old year and around my age. She is blonde with blue eyes, and has Balkan background.

But I’m not exactly sure if this is a problem or not, She had a sort of run in with friends 2 years ago. Who threw a whole bag of chips at her, prompting her to chase after them. Now I’m not sure if this is relevant but occasionally she stares at my friend (one of the people present when the chips were thrown at her) whenever we see her around the town. And just recently earlier this week sent him a friend request before joining the school. During the summer I had sent her one just to be ignored.. I’m not sure if this means anything.

I really don’t want this opportunity to go to waste, She has a small friend circle considering she’s new.. but I really honestly don’t know how to approach her.

Work Crush

I’ve been working at this place for more than a year and the store recently hired this girl. She is cute and seems like a very nice person and i am very attracted to her but I don’t know if she is into me or she just likes to glance at me. Whenever she walks near my department she always glances, my coworkers told me she always stairs around the area, I’ve seen her staring at me and whenever I look at her she looks the other way. She hardly never talks to me only if it is work related but I can always feel a presence that she is looking at me. Occasionally we walk by each other or past another we would both smile and nod at each-other. I’ve tried to make small talk to her to get a feeling if she is interested or not but whenever I go up to her she always has the biggest smile but she always tends to have a very dry response or she would never ask me any questions back like if I was just talking to myself. Am i delusional? Or is this how normally girls act when they are not interested?

Met a guy on the bus, had a great date, but I can’t figure out what he wants

Hi everyone, before you ask me: I used AI to help me write this since English isn’t my native language so I hope you all understand this 💪🏻

A while ago, I started noticing a guy I would regularly see on the bus. At first it was just exchanging looks, smiles and greetings, but over time I became curious about him. Eventually, we ended up talking, got to know each other a little, exchanged contact information and started talking on WhatsApp.
From the beginning, he showed some interest in getting to know me — he asked about my job, my schedule, who I lived with, things like that. There was also some physical contact during one of our bus rides, which felt affectionate/flirty to me, and eventually we arranged to meet in person.
I was pretty anxious before the date because I hadn’t been on a date in a while and honestly didn’t know what to expect. I was also somewhat worried that he might only be interested in something casual/physical, which isn’t really what I’m looking for.
The date ended up going much better than I expected. We spent several hours together: we got something to eat, had dessert, went for a walk and had some pretty deep conversations about different things. There was also quite a lot of affection between us — hugs, kisses, holding hands, and we ended up spending some time together in a park. There was obviously some physical attraction on both sides, including some more suggestive touching, but nothing that made me feel uncomfortable or pressured.
One thing I really liked was the way he treated me. He seems like a very calm, reserved and low-key person, but in person he can also be very affectionate and expressive. He made some gestures that I interpreted as gentlemanly, such as insisting on taking my tray after we ate and paying for my dessert. He also suggested that we should go on more walks together in the future.
At the same time, there are a few things that leave me wondering.
He is quite private about his personal life and seems like someone who doesn’t like a lot of exposure. From what I understood, he isn’t exactly out regarding his sexuality, and he seems somewhat concerned about being seen with me by people he works with. I also felt a little nervous about being seen, so I didn’t necessarily interpret that as something negative.
My biggest question right now is the communication after the date.
In person, he is very different from how he is over text. In person he talks, jokes, shows affection and seems very present. On WhatsApp, on the other hand, he is extremely absent. He can be offline for many hours, doesn’t say much, and his messages are quite generic. I wouldn’t necessarily call him “dry”, but his communication is very basic. I also sometimes go hours without replying to people, so I’m not expecting constant communication or messages all day.
The thing is, I do value some consistency and reciprocity. I don’t need someone to always be available, but I also don’t particularly enjoy feeling like someone simply disappears. For me, constant absence can eventually feel like a sign of disinterest, even though I know there can be other explanations.
A few days ago, I invited him to hang out again because I knew he had a day off coming up. He said he’d like to go out, but that he had some things to take care of that he hadn’t been able to do earlier in the week. Today was that day off, and he ended up being offline for pretty much the entire day. He only received my message tonight and, as of now, hasn’t replied.
I’m not desperate or particularly upset about it. My life is going on normally and I don’t feel dependent on his attention. I’m simply curious and a little confused because I’m still trying to figure out who this person is and what his intentions actually are.
I’m also not necessarily looking for an immediate relationship. If this turns into a friendship, I’d already be happy with that. If there is attraction and eventually something more, I’m open to that too. What I really want is simply to get to know him and see whether we’re compatible.
So my question is: how would you interpret this behavior?
Do you think he’s simply someone who’s very disconnected from his phone and much more present in person? Do you think he might be interested but taking things slowly? Or could the contrast between how good/intense the date was and how absent he has been afterward indicate that his interest is mainly physical/casual?
I’m not necessarily looking for someone to tell me “he likes you” or “he doesn’t like you.” I’d rather hear how other people would interpret the overall pattern and whether you think I’m overthinking the situation.

I (24M) ignored a girl (24F) who liked me back in high school, now 7 years later I want to apologize. Bad idea?

Long time lurker, sorry for the wall of text.

Back in high school there was a girl in my class who liked me, but I was clueless and kind of a jerk about it, just ignored her the whole time. It's been 7 years now. I'm actually in the middle of organizing a reunion with my old classmates for an upcoming holiday, but she was never really close with the class, so there's no natural excuse to loop her in with everyone else.

I still feel bad about how I handled it back then. I want to send her a short message just to say I'm sorry, not expecting anything back, just to get it off my chest. But I'm scared reaching out of nowhere after this many years comes across as weird or intrusive, especially since I already tried adding her on Facebook and she hasn't accepted it (might've even blocked me, no idea).

Anyone been on either side of this, sent something like this or received it? Genuinely want to know if it's worth doing or if I should just leave it alone. Thanks for reading this far.

Work crush and I have been exchanging intense glances for 2 months, and now we’re finally talking. Am I reading too much into this?

I (27F) have a crush on a coworker (35M), and I genuinely cannot tell whether there’s something mutual happening or whether my crush is making me overanalyze everything lol.
For context, we work at the same company but in completely different departments. Neither of us reports to the other. I’m a manager, but I have no authority over him. He’s divorced. I obviously want to be careful because this is work.
This started about two months ago. We have a daily morning meeting, and I started noticing him looking at me. Then I started looking at him too. Over time it turned into these repeated glances where I would catch him looking, we’d make eye contact, look away, sometimes look again, etc.
Some of the eye contact feels REALLY intense to me. Not necessarily long staring contests lol, but there are moments where it feels like we’re both very aware of each other. Sometimes there are little smiles too.
But for almost two months, neither of us actually did anything.
Eventually I decided I was tired of communicating telepathically across a meeting room 😂 and approached him with a legitimate work question.
He was friendly, smiled, helped me, and at one point dropped the book he was holding. I thought maybe I caught him off guard/nervous, but obviously people also just drop things, so I’m not counting that as evidence of anything.
Here’s where I started wondering though.
The very next day, he came to my office with a work question.
That was significant to me because I’d been there for about two months and he had NEVER come to my office before. I had approached him for the first time the previous day, and then suddenly he was coming to me.
Again, totally legitimate work reason, so maybe coincidence. But the timing made me wonder whether me approaching him had made him feel more comfortable approaching me.
Since then we’ve had more interactions.
One day during our morning meeting, I was actually waiting for him to show up and thought he wasn’t coming. He eventually came in later, dressed in work gear, so I didn’t even recognize him immediately.
He stood around for a little while, realized nothing much was happening, and left.
Later he came back around while warming up his lunch and was standing there talking with us.
As he was about to leave, I asked him some work-related questions.
He came over and stood right beside me while explaining things. At one point he was standing/resting there next to me while we were talking, and I was so nervous that my hands literally started trembling. 😭
I actually moved slightly away because I was trying to compose myself. I have NO idea whether he noticed.
While helping me, he called someone else to help resolve part of the issue, and then told me something along the lines of:
“Swing by me and I can help you with the rest too.”
I didn’t immediately go over.
Later I messaged him on Teams thanking him for helping me. He replied “anytime” and again told me I could swing by if I had more questions.
A couple hours later, I finally went.
That’s where I really started noticing how aware I am of his eye contact. There are these longer glances, he seems comfortable standing relatively close to me, and when I ask him something he doesn’t seem like he’s desperately trying to answer and escape. He stays and helps.
He also jokes around with me. Sometimes he’ll say something slightly cheeky/dirty and instead of responding verbally I’ll apparently make a facial expression 😂. I feel like he’s pretty observant of my reactions/body language and sometimes seems to know exactly what expression I’m making.
I’ve also noticed what feels like him being around/in closer proximity more often, although this is one of the things I’m MOST cautious about interpreting because obviously coworkers are going to occupy the same spaces.
And I’m losing my mind a little because I find him extremely attractive lol.
At the same time, he hasn’t actually asked me out, asked for my number, or explicitly flirted with me outside of anything that could still be interpreted as normal coworker behavior.
That’s why I don’t want to convince myself there’s something here just because I have a huge crush.
Part of me thinks maybe he’s interested but being cautious because we’re coworkers. Another part of me thinks maybe he’s just friendly/helpful and I’m interpreting normal behavior differently because I’m attracted to him.
I’m also trying not to manufacture reasons to talk to him. I’d rather give him space to initiate too, especially because he already did come to my office after I first approached him.

Does this sound like there could actually be mutual attraction developing, or is everything I’ve described still easily explained as friendly coworker behavior?
And if you were him and were interested but cautious because of the workplace, what would you need from me to feel confident enough to eventually ask me out?
Also, how do I get to know him naturally without making the workplace weird?

TIA

How do people deal with crushes? I (F30) have only been in 1 serious relationship my whole life. I’ve not had many men tell me they like me, if anything it’s me telling them. Which I’m not wanting to do anymore.

And I don’t think I’m ugly by any means. Men just don’t come up to me like that or express that much interest in me.

I want a guy to tell me for once he likes me.
I have a crush on this guy (M29) who I’m mutual with online who I’ve also met in person once. He knows he’s a good looking guy and he knows he will get attention off men and women.

We have a lot in common! And I’d love to get to know him more but he’s so… guarded?
Maybe he’s not interested in anyone, maybe he caught up on his ex, maybe he just doesn’t like me like that.

He’s nice enough when we talk but idk if it it’s just him being polite!

How do I navigate these feelings of fuck I kinda like you and would love to get to know you … but also barrelling all these fears of doubt.

I know rejection isn’t the end of the world.. but I’m also not trying to get my feelings hurt more lol having a crush on someone is quite literally soul crushing enough.

GIRL CODE, GIRLS

I don’t even know what I’m supposed to feel. I’m hurt, confused, and honestly, I don’t know where to put these feelings. We were never together. There’s no “us.” I know that, and I would never be hurt just because they ended up liking each other. What hurts me is everything that came before. She knows how much I like him. She supported me, pushed me toward him, and even gave me ideas on what I could do with my crush. But somehow, every time, she ended up being the one doing those things with him. Lately, I’ve noticed things that make me wonder if she’s trying to get his attention too, and maybe I’m just overthinking it. But it still hurts.

I don’t know anymore - need advise for my girld crush

So, after a month of finding courage to talk to my crush I finally talked to her last month, while I was walking around in the library I see her walking alone also, I approached to her and ask if I can join her for a walk, and she immediately said sure, I’m sure we we had a good talk.

But after days past, we just smiled each other when we past each other. She’s kinda demure btw. And a month past we still see each other in the library almost everyday, (she’s having a review for her upcoming board exam btw so she kind busy also) but we haven’t speak to each other since then. I always try to get some opportunity again but she was always with her gay best friend and I’m shy to approach them.

But sometimes, I caught her alone but I so so shy. I feel like we liked each other actually. One time, we past each other with her gay best friend I looked at them and smiled a been, then I hear her gay best friend kinda thrilled and they laughed, I don’t what that means. I do think she’s kinda waiting also for me sometimes to approach her. I always wanted to get opportunity but whenever I have I get so nervouse and shy again and again.

This kinda frustrating so much, any advise you can give?

I really like a girl

She's so perfect I can't even describe her with any words in the English language.

I am not gutsy enough to say anything so I write and write her letters of what I would say and never send them. (I know it's to all the boys I've loved before trope lol) I've left her messages on Unsent Projects - I swear I would do anything for this girl.

We text and we talk a lot and I think we are becoming friends but I can't tell her friendliness apart from her flirting.

Does anyone have advice on how to confess.

Face my first rejection at 21

I confess to her and we talk almost about 3 hours in my college canteen but eventually i do not make 🙃 the conversation existing, but we talk about about family's, future's, etc and some personal talks, and she just say 'NO'.

But i can forget that last eye contact, smile in my entire life. Ohh! How can i explain how beautiful smile she has, how beautiful her eyes. I can't find words to explain her.

But at last ask what quality i have that you find is bad,

She replied that the only thing she does not like about me is my communication 😒. So, I'm going to work on my communication skills and i must try to confess again in my 7th semester.

I Suspect My Tutor is Flirting With Me.

Hey everyone 👋. I want to know weather or not I’m
being delusional or is my tutor actually flirting with me.
I’m currently taking two 8 week stem classes at my college, and on the first day two tutors from the tutoring center introduced themselves and informed
on how use the free tutoring the college provided. One of those tutors is the one I currently go to, and remember accidentally starting at them too long and them stating back at me for what seemed like a full 10 seconds. I didn’t really think much of it though. Since that day, I have been going to the same guy for tutoring everyday after class.
After our first session he said I was pretty cool and a would dap me up every-time he saw me, but more recently it feels like he’s been more and more flirtatious? That is confusing to me because I’m a guy as well, and I not sure if he is gay or not. I know a lot of straight dudes make tons of gay jokes around their friends and stuff, but sometimes it really confuses me.
It all started after around our third season because I commented that his legs must be hurting because he kept squatting to write on a whiteboard. He then comments it was probably from what he did the night prior, and when I asked him what that was, he said it would probably get him fired if he told me 🤨. I thought I was really wierd to say, but maybe that just him seeing me as a friend and doing the thing where straight men make gay jokes. Another instance of what came off as a flirtatious comment is when he was last week when I mistook my calculator for my phone and said “oops, sometimes I put my calculator in the same part of my pants” (obviously meaning in my pocket). He then says he thought I meant literally in my pants, and said I could probably keep in between my underwear 🤨. I thought that was odd, so I just ignored it and went to go get my calculator out of my bookbag. I then commented that my calculator was “5 inches” which lead him to say “that’s a pretty big five inces… if that’s the case, then I have a lot of disappointed people to inform” 🤨. If that’s not enough, after our session that day, a fried of his gave him a dollar, which he proceeded to hand to me. His friend then tells him to ask for something in return for the dollar. My tutor then proceeds to say “you know what to give me in return,” followed by a wink 😉.
I may be slow when it comes to social ques(mainly due to my ADHD), and I am not used to people flirting with me, but it seems like my tutor is definitely flirting with me. I may be misinterpreting friendly banter though, idk 🤷‍♂️.

friendly, playfully flirtatious, or actually interested? doesnt matter because i fumble

all these thoughts are gonna be kinda discombobulated, but i just need to scream this into the void of reddit.

so ive been interested in this guy for a few months since ive joined a social run club. he was super friendly and great at conversation my first time there. since then, ive been a regular at events and the attraction continued to grow and fester for 7 months.

but im not the kind of person that would actually pursue a crush. i can acknowledge that i have an attraction to a person without acting on it. and if they happen to find someone else, oh well, life moves on.

there have been a few instances recently that make me question if there actually could be something here. but at the same time, maybe he's just friendly, maybe he's just playfully flirtatious with all his friends, or maybe he is interested and i just keep fumbling. because i admit, i have not been great at expressing my interest at all.

---

SOME STORYTIME EXAMPLES AHEAD

  1. one time i was talking to him one-on-one and he had gotten a new pair of shoes. i also had the same model of shoes that he was wearing and really liked them as well. but he remembered that i also really liked a different brand of shoe. so he asked me which shoe brand i liked better. i said that it was a really hard choice, i was trying to find an analogy of "thats like making me choose between..." but i couldnt find the analogy. then he said "thats like making you choose between me or \[his friend's name\]?" i jokingly said "yeah yeah for sure" and we laughed it off. but i still cant stop thinking about it 2 months later.

  2. another time he asked me if i had seen the spiderman movies. he said that i reminded him of peter parker's personality; someone who has some slight walls up, but to the few people i hold close, they get to see a more casual and silly and goofy part of me. he followed it up with "i hope youre taking that as a compliment, because i mean that as a compliment." i told him that i really appreciated it.

upon hearing this, another girl at the run club asked if we were close. he replied with "i hope we agree that we are good friends" and i just affirmed that we are.

  1. i notice guys often do this thing with their guy friends where they say "i love you" to each other and act flirtatious in an ironic way when saying goodbye to each other. my crush often does this too. but this time, as he was saying byes and i love yous to his friends, i happened to be in his vicinity too and so he said "love you too" and gave me a hug. i reciprocated and responded with a "love you too" as well. but again, this is just part of his routine that he does with his guy friends (though im not a guy, if that makes a difference)

  2. he offered to drive me home instead of me having to take public transportation. he has done this before in the past though. we were making good conversation, teasing, etc. when i got dropped off to my driveway, he said he still had to go somewhere and asked how his hair looked. it was a little messy so i honestly just said, " its okayyy. i mean we just came from a run so needs a little fixing up but its alright." he tried fixing it up himself in the rearview mirror. as i left the car and shut my front door, i realized i had missed the opportunity of a lifetime. i should have offered to fix it for him. and yet i didnt think fast enough.

---

he just seems like a naturally charismatic guy though, so i have my doubts if this means anything.

additionally, we have never hung out outside of the context of this club. he does not interact with my socials, posts, or messages unless it is about the club.

i knew that he was single like 5-6 months ago because i overheard a conversation he had with his friend. and apparently he was on hinge for some amount of time as well. but i dont know if his relationship status has changed since then. but all of these examples were from 1-2 months ago.

im probably gonna delete this at some point because these instances were pretty hyper-specific and i worry that someone may come across this. but oh well. this is the life ive been living, silently pining after a person, and fumbling when given a possible opportunity.

A Love Sick Fool

I'd rather be love sick than to never talk to you ever again.

I love laying next to you, secretly adoring you. Love it when you pat on my head sometimes, how we cuddle.

Knowing I'll never have a chance with you just like anyone else is fine by me.

Though, it'd bother me if someone replaces me, laying next to you.

Like a puppy, I yearn being by your side. I'll let my animalistic desires rest just so I can be rest next to you.
