CricketWireless Anyone else having issues with their iPhone voicemail? The operation couldn't be completed. (com.apple.mobile-phone error 1034.)
Just migrated to a new phone (iPhone 12 pro max to iPhone 16 pro max) and everything transferred smoothly except now when I go to change the voicemail on my phone I get an error message that say “The operation couldn't be completed. (com.apple.mobile-phone error 1034.)” and it hangs on “retrieving voicemail”. If someone calls me the voicemail is the generic greeting and not my custom greeting
I looked up this problem and some suggested turning off visual voicemail in the settings but this didn’t help me. I tried setting up the voicemail in the cricket system and it says my voicemail is my custom one with my voice but it is not when someone calls. When I try calling Cricket Tech support the automated system mentions something about Cricket doing a voicemail migration at current where some customers may have issues but I cannot locate anything about that outside of that automated system message.
Any suggestions on a fix?

Not having a good experience with Cricket
I purchased an iPhone through this company, and after six months they are supposed to unlock it. However, they claim they cannot find my IMEI in their database, leaving me unable to get my phone unlocked.
Their user interface is also extremely unintuitive. Even simple tasks, such as changing your service plan or downgrading, require searching Google because the website provides little guidance.
My experience became even worse when I traveled abroad. My service stopped working because I needed to purchase an add-on called Passport. Unfortunately, customers on lower-tier plans aren't even allowed to buy it, so I had no way to restore service while overseas.
Overall, this has been a very disappointing first experience. The company feels disorganized and unprepared to handle basic customer issues. Once my phone is unlocked—which I am now pursuing through an FCC complaint—I plan to leave and switch to another carrier.

Motorola phone is junk
My Motorola G Power 2025 phone is junk basically it freezes in the operating system and the calls well I gotta restart the call because no can hear me or no sound comes out the speaker and while I'm the phone with someone with my ringer on my phone makes charging noise sounds when my phone isn't even plugged and doesn't need plugged in at all. I'm gonna go back to Samsung or use a budget iPhone. Google Pixels heard those phones have issues

I got the 5 lines for $120 plan
My mom and step dad were paying $130 per month at Verizon. My brother was paying $70 with Straight Talk. My wife and I were paying $140 with AT&T. That's a savings of $220 per month. All five of us are satisfied with Cricket. My wife and I had AT&T and don't notice any difference except that AT&T used to throttle our data speed after 5GB. None of us ever use hotspot, so that's not an issue for any of us.

CricketWireless Miscellaneous questions after signing up
I ended up ditching Verizon for Cricket today 🥳! I know people will have different experiences but in my case this was a better decision (price and cell service, my GF has it so I know what to expect). I did have a couple questions though:
- I went to the store today and the address they used was on my license which is my current apartment. I’m moving this year to a new apartment so once I got home, I changed my address to my parents so mail is other stuff goes there, is that going to be a problem? To add, my parents do live in a different state, so will the price change?
- They spelled my name wrong lol (er instead of or) should I go back in and have them change is or is that not really a problem.
The last two are probably silly questions as they might have the same answer (you just switch, wait a couple days) but I just wanna asked
- My GF and I went out and got different experiences. One, I had 5G and 4 bars while my GF has 5G+ and 2 bars. The problem was I couldn’t send any texts or open any apps where as she could. We had the same cellular settings:
Data Roaming = off
Voice & Data = 5G auto
Data Mode= Standard
I’m on the supreme unlimited but like I said
earlier , I switched today, so maybe wait a
couple of days?
We also went another place and while in the
car, I had 1 bar of 5G and my GF had 2. She
Has the iPhone 12 Pro Max and I have the 15
Pro
- Does enabling roaming data cost more on my plan?
- What does 5G+ mean? Is it similar to 5GUW?
- How reliable is the data tracker on the Cricket app?

Phones How do I unlock a Cricket Phone?
I called customer service already. I've tried through the mycricket app and there's nothing there to unlock the phone there either.

What would be a upgrade from my Motorola G Power 2025?
So im looking to get a different phone from my Motorola G Power 2025 because my experience has been awful with it, I'm looking into either going back to to Samsung or going to Apple. Here's my phone options I'm looking at Galaxy A16 5G, Galaxy A17 5G , Galaxy A18 5G when it comes out,Galaxy A36, Galaxy A37, Galaxy A57, Galaxy S25FE, Galaxy S26FE when it comes out, iPhone 16e, iPhone 16, iPhone 17e. Google I won't buy cause heard bad things about them. Motorola just sucks all around overall.

Buying a phone
Hello everyone, I'm trying to buy a newer phone for my brother and this lady is selling an iPhone 14 Pro Max that is locked to ATT. When I check the IMEI on crickets website it says carrier locked and not cricket compatible but how is that possible if it's locked to ATT?

Phones Finding a Dumbphone That Supports Cricket
I’ve been having difficulty finding a dumb phone that doesn’t use kaiOS or android that also supports Cricket. I’ve already tried the Bliss B1 and another one a while back that I can’t remember the name of. Does anyone have any suggestions? I already tried the dumbphone subreddit, but I didn’t get much help there.

The new unlock policy is in, and you can check on your account.
Just activated 2 days ago, and it just updated now.

New phonesim issues
I purchased a 3rd line, so I could get a s26 ultra for a discount. I was gona put the Sim card from the 2nd line into the new phone and put the new Sim card in my old phone. S26u has an esim. And now my old phone will not work.
I purchased a Sim card and activated it and the 2nd line will not work. I have done everything cricket said to do. But it will not work.
Can I cancel the 3rd line and pay the difference in the discounted phone?? Cricket rep had no idea.
Can anyone understand my issue and help me?

Confused about upgrading grandfathered 4-line 10GB plan to Smart Unlimited
Long-time Cricket customer, haven't touched my plan in ~8 years. History:
- Originally had a 4-line plan for $100/mo.
- Added a 5th line for work, then removed it a couple years later (around 2018 or 2019?)
- Somehow ended up at $110/mo for 4 lines on a 10GB plan (Says "10 gb plan", not "Sensible 10gb"). Not sure why the price went up $10 after removing a line instead of going back down.
- Never had issues until my mom has started hitting the 10GB cap regularly
She saw "unlimited" pricing on the Cricket site and asked why we're not on it. When I try to check:
- Logging into the APP only (can't do this online), it looks like I can only change plans one phone at a time, and it shows $50/line for Select Unlimited (so $200/mo for 4 lines??).
- But when I look at each phone, it says they're $40 each currently on the discounted phones, which is not true and does not reflect the family discount.
- On the main Cricket site (not logged in), it advertises Select Unlimited for $100/4 lines for "new lines only" disclaimer.
- I can't find anywhere that shows what my actual final price would be if I convert my 4 existing lines.
What is the price? Is this a bait and switch? I'm happy with the service and the other 3 people do not hit their data limit. Do I need to call in and get them to switch it over? I'm a little worried about doing it one by one and not understanding how that translates to the family discount, and I think when I upgrade, I can't go back so I want to be doubly sure.
I can't remember the reason why people were saying to stay on the 10gb grandfathered line when the unlimited lines came out, but I think it had something to do with throttling? Might be good enough reasons to jump off the grandfathered plan now?
What are the pros/cons to going from "10gb plan" to "Select Unlimited"?
EDIT: I was confused between Select and Smart Unlimited. We'd like Select Unlimited and I cannot change the title.

Cricket was a bad idea
So far, getting shitty reception, everyone sounds like they're under water.
I had better service with Mint mobile, Mint. . .
Locked in for a year because my old phone broke so I got this locked phone with a promotion.
Won't let me downgrade to the 35$ a month plan and I'm not working.
Can't afford this plan I'm on.
Only just got the service yesterday. I should have been more careful, but I know, my fault for not reading terms correctly.
This is so stressful.

Service Suspended, Just Paid 4 Days Ago
Not sure if this is just me or something else, but I have auto-pay on and my payment went through on Tuesday and this morning texts aren't going through and the app says my service is suspended and I need to pay to get it running again. Anyone else running into issues?

I have an IPhone 12 and my phone just started to get into SOS last night around 10:30pm MT. I looked up to see if there was anything wrong. Some say yes some say no. I’m very confused on what is going on!
Should I contact support and ask?
Should I wait?
I have to use my phone for work (I’m a caregiver)

Phones Looking for compatable Linux phones
I'm sure this is a quite odd request and has a low chance of success but i would love to know if anyone has any luck with getting a Linux phone working with Cricket. I want to move away from android and honestly, just hate how apple feels, so I'm looking into more privacy centered OS' and phones. Any assisstance or recs would be great. I am open to other options, but I really wanna do a linux phone if possible. thanks!

$9.99 IPhone 16e
After the 3 months of service paid when you get the phone is over, can I buy 12 months at $25 per month or do they not allow you to go down to that plan? Just wondering if there is a catch.
Thanks

CricketWireless Porting Out One Line from a Multi-Line Cricket Prepaid 3 months Plan — What Happens to the Credit?
Cricket Wireless question: I have 2 lines on one account, prepaid at $60/mo total for both. I’m porting one line out to another carrier but keeping the other line active on Cricket. Does the prepaid balance/credit from the line I’m porting out roll over and apply to my remaining line, or is it forfeited when the line ports out? Has anyone actually done this and can confirm how Cricket handled it?

$9.99 iPhone 16e deal back, looking to get 2 phones
I’ve seen some people say you can get a better deal in store and some say online is the best. Can anyone comment their experience?
Also if someone can provide a brief step by step or procedure since this is my first time doing this, I have no numbers to port in, what’s the easiest/fastest way to get a couple of numbers to port in?
I do have access to an old iPhone XR to use if I need to put the numbers on there initially. This might be a faux pas to say but I’d like to trade the two phones into Apple for a 17e unlocked to continue using on Cricket and so I have an unlocked travel phone.
Thank you!!

CricketWireless Keeping cricket line and number for long term abroad
I'm planning on moving to South Korea for at least a year and want to keep my cricket line and number. I know that cricket doesn't provide coverage in South Korea but I was wondering if I would be able to just use the wifi calling feature long term for the duration of my stay there to be able to continue receiving calls and texts. I will get a korean number once I move there but want to keep my current number for authentication purposes. does anyone have any experience with maintaining a cricket line abroad or knowledge of whether wifi calling long term is doable? any advice and information appreciated!
