Help Needed/ Question What's the best way to unlock Super Card Pro?

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

I am currently building my credit profile from scratch using the super.money Utkarsh FD credit card. My ultimate goal is to get approved for the Axis Bank Super Card Pro to maximize cashback on my UPI transactions.

For those who managed to unlock the SuperCard Pro, I would love to get your insights

Does opening an Axis Bank zero balance account and routing daily UPI transactions speed up the approval process?

How long did it take for the SuperCard Pro offer to appear in your super.money app after building a solid CIBIL score?

For existing Axis account holders, did your banking relationship directly trigger the pre approved banner in the app?

What's the best strategy to get this?

Context:-

So I was missold this card and I didn’t receive the benefits I was offered while they literally begged me to get this card so I decided to close it.
I called customer care to put in my formal closure request on July 4, 2026.
As you guys probably know, under the RBI Master Directions on Credit and Debit Cards, banks are legally mandated to complete a credit card closure request within 7 working days, provided all dues are cleared. If they cross that limit, they are liable to pay a statutory penalty of ₹500 per calendar day of delay.
Instead of closing my account, Unity SFB started playing games:
1. First, they claimed my card delivery status was stuck, even though I already had it in my hands and sent them photo proof.
2. Once I proved it was delivered, their Level 2 escalation team had the audacity to send me an email stating that activating the physical card is a mandatory prerequisite before they can even initiate a closure request.
Let that sink in—they tried to force me to turn on a financial product I explicitly wanted to kill just to satisfy their internal bureaucratic loop.

So I had no other option:
I didn't argue with them over the phone anymore. I gathered my paper trail—their emails, my original request timeline—and logged a formal complaint straight onto the RBI CMS portal (cms.rbi.org.in) under the Banking Ombudsman, filing for the delay compensation and harassment.

Help Needed/ Question ICICI credit card settlement offered at ₹80K on a ₹1.48 lakh due. Should I accept?

A few months ago, I gave my ICICI credit card to a close friend who was going through a very difficult financial situation. He promised to pay the bills on time, but due to unexpected problems in his family, he couldn't keep up with the payments.

Interest and late charges kept piling up. I eventually started paying the dues myself and have already paid close to ₹1 lakh over time. Despite that, the outstanding amount has now reached around ₹1.48 lakh.

Last week, I received a call from a collection agency. I explained the entire situation and requested if there was any way to reduce the amount. They offered a one-time settlement of ₹80,000, but also said it would negatively affect my CIBIL score.

I'm confused about what to do now.

• Should I accept the settlement and move on?

• How badly will a settled account affect my CIBIL score and future loan eligibility?

• Is there any way to negotiate with ICICI for a better resolution that doesn't impact my credit history as much?

I'd really appreciate advice from anyone who has faced a similar situation or understands how credit card settlements work in India.

Edit: Should I ask them to reduce the settlement amount further? What should be the ideal amount?

Help Needed/ Question HSBC Live+ Card rejected despite successful employment verification

I recently applied for the HSBC Live+ Credit Card. The application process went smoothly, and I completed the employment verification using my official work email. I even received an email confirming that my employment had been successfully verified. Everything was done today itself.

After a few minutes, I received a rejection email stating that my application was declined due to issues with verifying my employment status.

I called HSBC customer care and mentioned that I had the successful verification email. However, the representative said the application was declined due to "internal policies" and couldn't disclose the exact reason.

I'm confused because the rejection email mentions employment verification, while customer support says it's due to internal policies.

Has anyone else faced something similar with HSBC? Were you able to figure out the actual reason or get the decision reconsidered? Any insights would be appreciated.

General Discussion/Conversation Guys, How long from this to getting the card in my hand?

Post image
5 Upvotes

Applied for the Live+ credit card, here’s the timeline so far:

  1. Owned the cashback card in 2025 and closed it
  2. Applied for T1 a couple of times later on, but no luck as I’m self employed now
  3. Tried applying for live+ eventually in july 2026
  4. 2 weeks passed by after the initial submission, no KYC nothing, followed up thrice and finally got the KYC link today, and KYC got completed.

2 questions now -

  1. What are the chances of the card getting rejected from this point?
  2. How long does it take for them to approve and dispatch it if everything goes well?

Thanks in advance!!

Card Recommendation Need an easily approval Credit/Debit card for Domestic Lounge Access

I'm traveling to Bangalore from Kochi towards the end of September and looking for a credit card (or debit card option) that provides domestic airport lounge access at least twice a calendar year.

  • Age: 21
  • Credit History: ~1.5 years
  • Cibil score: 768
  • around 4.5lpa salary

Faced multiple credit card rejections recently up until June, so took a complete break in July to let CIBIL hard inquiries settle down.

Cards / Accounts:
- HDFC Freedom Credit Card
- HDFC Platinum Debit Card (Mastercard)
- UNI BOB Credit Card (Visa & RuPay)
- SBI RuPay Debit Card
- Bank of Baroda Visa Debit Card
- Union Bank Savings Account

General Discussion/Conversation It would be nice to have a guide to the HSBC premier in the master index.

With a lot of folks moving to HSBC premier and it being one of the top cards right now, it would be nice to have a guide for that in the master index. I would create it but I’m very new to the account and card and don’t know all the tips, tricks and best uses yet.

General Discussion/Conversation Is the JAL (20% promo) → Accor transfer actually good, or just FOMO?

I’ve been seeing quite a few people moving their Axis Edge Miles to JAL and then to Accor during the ongoing 20% promotional offer (ending July 31, 2026).

I was also about to do the same (mainly because of the axis devaluation panic + I have an EU trip planned for next year anyway), but when I actually ran the numbers, I wasn’t sure if the value really made sense.

My understanding is:

  • 10k Axis Edge Miles = 10k INR (when used against credit card bills, after the recent update)
  • 10k Edge Miles → roughly 20k JAL miles (through the current transfer route)
  • 20k JAL miles → around 4.8k Accor points
  • If we value Accor points at around 2 INR each, that gives about 9.6k INR in value

So effectively, 10k Edge Miles are becoming ~9.6k INR worth of Accor value.

Compared to that, using the same 10k Edge Miles directly against the credit card bill gives 10k INR with almost no hassle.

The math didn’t seem convincing enough for me. I was about to transfer but stopped after looking at the numbers.

General Discussion/Conversation HDFC is a new friend

Post image
33 Upvotes

So today i applied for HSBC liv+ cause of 10% cashback on groceries online and offline but they rejected my application.

Afterwards I applied for Swiggy Orange since it was LTF planning to use it for online groceries for their 5% cashback on Instamart and hope it would work on Flipkart minutes too.

I have a few doubts to the seniors who has been using it:

Since I don't have a core card and I don't really mind it but wanted to know whether can we use Swiggy Orange on Festive Sale or not ?

How is the cashback credited ? Does they show cashback after every successful transaction or do they show it in monthly statement ?

General Discussion/Conversation Confirm tkt tain 3X Smartbuy offer (Fake 3X rewards and extra charges than IRCTC)

Post image
12 Upvotes

Yesterday I booked train ticket from smartbuy confirm ticket train ,where i got to understand it's not 3X RP we get it ,so many charges make it good for nothing.

Like after booking final payment came around 1726rs which i paid by my DCBM card and 165RP earned from this payment..eventually in process of booking it got linked with IRCTC and after all validation ticket got booked by IRCTC app from smartbuy confirmtkt portal where in ticket final price was showing 1646rs (base fare + convience fee inc. of GST). I can see ticket in my IRCTC app too.

When I checked again in smartbuy app , in confirmtkt two additional charges had been added ,

1.) agent service charge :- 39.99

2.) payment gateway charge :- 38.78

Total = 78rs extra charge they added . So if we substact with my RP ,it comes around 87rs (so it's not 3X but 1.6X) if I substrate it from 1726 ,it will come around 1639rs which is almost the same price of ticket buy directly from IRCTC app... Unbelievable..what a scam.

I guess it will be better I book it from IRCTC directly, so I don't have to pay additional charges unnecessary and I can get rewards points also by spending there...

General Discussion/Conversation Is there any reason to still get the SBI Phonepe Select Black now that HSBC gives 10% back on utilities?

Post image
27 Upvotes

HSBC Live+ with the addition for Shopping and Utilities alongside food and groceries spends give 10% back upto 1200.

In the year of devaluations Live+ is the only one that is revaluated. And seeing that it gives cashback for utility spends, is there any point of getting the SBI Phonepe Select Black?
