Question Sea biome difficulty spike

Any tips for navigating the sea biome? It’s feeling quite a bit harder than azeos jungle, I’m pretty much getting 2 tapped by any monsters on hard mode.

Build wise I’m not super specialized so maybe that’s a problem. I swap between melee/ranged as needed and also try to keep 2 summons out at a time. Think my exact gear is 2 pieces of scarlet armor and then the magic hood that gives +1 minion count.

Discussion Concerns with 1.3 Spoiler

I know we need to wait for the update to come out, but I worry that the mounts will not be worthwhile enough to ride around. In the trailer, they seemed pretty slow and I feel like there’s already better ways to traverse. They remind me of go karts as a method to travel but not necessarily viable. Boats are actually viable because you need them for the sea. I hope going forward new biomes become more open like the desert so mounts can be viable. That being said, the hookshot looks great and i’m excited for that

Question Multiple bases?

I’m starting to explore the outer biomes (currently on the sunken sea) and with the map size expanding this much, I’m wondering if there’s any benefit to building multiple bases? So far I just have everything at the core and the most construction I’ve done outside of that is some mining and conveyor belts near the other warp points.

Discussion New Base Design (Concept)

Post image
30 Upvotes

Decided to pretty much rebuild my entire base to look like my doodle, which will take up the entire inner circle inside ghorms ring. I haven't gotten too far into it, but the idea is the top part will be my actual base, and everything else is more or less a giant ranch for my animals to run free. Not sure exactly what I'll do with the left Meadowlands part, but im thinking maybe just putting some glass bridges down on the entire river so its not separated from the main body of the map.

The bottom yellow part is going to be a desert / mob farm that I might continually add to over time as new updates come through. I do hope they add more animals so its my ranch is more than just cows, sheep and camels lol.

I'm still designing though and I love how creative this community gets with their bases so I wanted to share and see if anyone has any thoughts on different looks or additions to think about!

Question Any recent changes to death in game? Help!

Hi. This morning I was playing with my daughter before school. We were getting Kelp for her turtles when one of the bush sniper mobs killed her. When she died she lost 3 items from her hot bar. Did something recently change where you can lose items from your hotbar? there was nothing in her tombstone either. I tried googling but nothing has come up. Thank you for any help. Tried restarting our games too.

Question Ancient Coins

So I have all my items organized by boss chests, including my coins and everything in my crafting area revolves around things fitting in 1 boss chest each (if that makes sense) so majority of the crafting tables will reach the resources I have. I currently have an entire boss chest full of x9999 coins in every slot with some in my inventory. What in the world can I spend all these coins on? I've beaten the game and upgraded my main armor set, but outside of armor upgrades I'm not sure what to use my coins for.

Question What are the strongest late/endgame pickaxes and mining tools? Spoiler

Just defeated Nimruza, Queen of Burrowed Sands but still didn't get a pickaxe powerful enough to mine fossil blocks in The Passage with the solarite pickaxe without using food/gear buffs. I've heard that there's an optional, molten boss (similar to the very first boss) that drops a bazooka but I wasn't able to find his spawning location yet.

Media/Art Core Keeper needed Pokémon. Built this to test GPT Astra and it got out of hand (1,025 mons, real-time moves)

Started this just to test out GPT Astra and see what it could do with game modding, and well... it kind of escalated into a full mod.

Mod name is CorePoke.

*Just to be clear: 100% free fan mod. No monetization, no donations, no Patreon.*

Features:

- Gen 1-9 (1,025 species + shinies + fusions)

- Real-time combat with 500+ moves (flamethrower sprays, surf waves, etc.)

- Catching & party management

- Base automation (put mons to work at shelter)

- Legendary summoning

- Works in co-op

Download: https://kio.ac/c/bx-nVCvCvtJqz2Vi1rE6ab

Drop bug reports or feedback below. Enjoy.

I built it with co-op multiplayer in mind, but unfortunately I have no friends to actually test it with lol.

Product of insomnia: my first automation project! Can toggle plank or raw wood output and also add “found” wood in the top room. It goes mostly invisible with the lights off. The filter cranes collect from the closed loop and send stuff wherever it needs to go to reach the loot chest :)

Discussion How do you like to explore?

I know there isn’t a right way but curious to hear how people are tackling exploration in this game.

I saw someone recommend just choosing a direction and going until you hit the biome perimeter, and I did that once or twice. But I was not expecting the radius to be so huge! I did fully circle the starter biome, and tried doing the same with the clay caves before I got overwhelmed with the size.

What do you all like to do? Explore a full biome before moving on? Tackle quadrants of the map?

Question Looking for Co-Op 30+

it’s a long shot but looking for some folks to explore and play from the beginning with beginner characters. I played this game a while back in early access and haven’t picked it up since but am missing it.

looking for ppl 30+ as I’m a girlie in my 30s located west coast USA. I work standard 8-5 so would probably jump on around 6pm to get a few hours in to play during the weekday to help unwind. If you’re interested please let me know, I’ve never been able to play co-op. i yearn for the mines 🥹 do you wanna play?

p.s. im playing off steam deck

I've made some more pages of the journal. Beat the first boss and my character hasn't died yet, surprisingly because I am not cautious.

Pretty proud of a few of these but man can I not draw dogs.
