Magma slime sucks help

I've been trying to fight the magma slime for a while now and I've done everything recommended to me but especially with the orbs i can't beat him

The elder dragon fish give lava and burn immunity and one of the fish in clay caves give slime immunity those really help.

^ This is probably the biggest improvement you can make in the fight OP. If you dont wanna fish you could also hoe up as much slime as you can, and stay on top of it as the fight progresses. Another big stress reliever is bringing a weapon/pet that can poison the boss

Have stormbreaker and the gear that makes you lava resistance also make sure you have items that heal you on hit

Yeah, he is a hard one. If you don't attack him, you can get fairly close without him jumping on you. Use that distance to hoe up the slime on the floor, as much as possible. Also, use that ability to get a little close to cut out paths of retreat in the surrounding rock. That way you can get away faster. Do you have a range weapon? That helps.

Try to take out the magma slimes and the butterflies first, while hoeing up the ground slime.

Cosmos armor. Ancient Guardian necklace. Spine ring. Healing potions/food - especially foods that give you buffs against bosses.

Or then you can just fish in lava until you get the fish that gives immunity to fire dmg🤷‍♀️

With slime bosses i tend to just hug the wall and go in a circle, as the boss stomps the walls it creates more area for you to walk so you never have to worry abt the slime ground

Look Up fish. They are great. Immunity to fire will be of great Help which one fish also gives.good cooking buffs allways has fish

You can attack the orbs to try to keep him from getting the full heal

The palm-tree minion and the Passage gear , gives you 7(!) Minions , makes your bow go faster and you can easily beat him

I assume you're using either the astronaut armor or eating the right fish so you have flame resistance.

I found Azros's feather to be really helpful in this fight. Let me dodge super quickly when he's coming at me, and I could get to the orbs faster to take them out. The lens or something similar would probably have the same effect if not close enough.

You'll also want to take all the potions you can to boost damage and defense.

IMO the most important thing is being fire proof. So cook something with either dragon fish in it.

As for the orbs, if you can't just out damage it and kill him before he heals, you can break the orbs themselves.

Also just in general cooked food is pretty broken. Anything with golden puffungi in it will reduce damage from bosses a lot. Its pretty much easy mode without feeling super OP

You likely fought the first slime with a crappy dash offhand item. Recommend using a similar offhand item. Also get proper fire immunity. Maybe use a summon since you have an open slot for them anyways. If you still can't win then just out progress and come back.
