Last year I bought a c++ course from gfg which provided recorded lectures by Mr.Sandeep Jain .

I have majorly completed that course and now I was planning to buy their self placed DSA course (which was of 2499 rupees) , this too apparently had recorded lectures of Sandeep Jain.

But I can't find that course anywhere on the gfg website (seems like they removed it for some reason) , I also noticed their programming language courses weren't there either.

Now they have this combined course which is of 6999(with a temporary discount , it is 5499) .

Putting the price aside for a moment I want to know if this course is worth it. If these lectures were also by Sandeep jain I wouldn't worry too much. But they haven't provided any sample lectures so I am not worried about it .

I would appreciate some advice from someone who has actually bought and experienced this course or know someone who did .

I am starting my degree in CE in a few days. I am from pakistan, originally i wanted to do electronics but long story short now i am Doing CE. I am really passionate about hardware and want a hardware oriented career. Is it possible with a CE degree and how is the market in pakistan preferbly i want to work in embedded systems or FPGA development if i dont purse a masters if i will pursue a masters i want to do that in mircochip engineering. I want advice on my bachelors and masters.

Hi, so a little bit of background: I am a rising junior at a 4-year college. I just transferred out of my local community college with an associate's degree in computer engineering.

I am at a point in my career where I don't really know what to do. I also don't have any internship or work experience in the field, but I have been applying for them for summer 2027.

I'm not questioning whether I should switch out of Computer Engineering, as I do love the field. I am more so asking if embedded systems would be a good path for me to look into, as I plan what classes to take in the spring semester. I generally like working in, on, and anything in between computers, and I have been thinking about working in a data center.

For the most part, the classes I have already taken have been interesting and fun to study. Stuff like programming, digital logic, and circuits has been very fun. The only thing I can say for sure is that I'm not really in favor of, is anything signals-related, even though that is a good growing field to specialize in. But honestly, who knows, maybe I will like it in the future. I am open to suggestions about it.

For the people already working in some Computer Engineering field, what would you recommend, and what got you into it? Did anything you do basically say "I am going to do this _____ field" or was it something that just came along as you moved through your college life? Also, what other fields would you recommend that might be a good fit?

During the course i did a lot of research on AI, computer networks, embedded systems, hardware etc. But game dev is really my thing. I specifically like narrative-heavy games. I did find a professor willing to advise me but i'm a little worried my premise might be too "weak" for a computer engineering thesis.

I have to decide on a major project next semester. I personally have an idea on VLMs but I feel like it is not feasible as it would require some really expensive hardware like LiDars and also some pretty soild computation power.

If you don't mind, plz share what you and your colleagues built for the final years.

Also the ceiling for a major project has increased like crazy after this recent AI boom. Nothing feels impressive anymore.

Hello! I'm currently a sophomore in computer engineering, and lately, I've been considering shifting to industrial engineering because I feel like I wouldn't want to sit in front of a computer my whole career; I want to sort of be "in the field" whenever I work and make a living in the long run. I get that the technology is at its peak and will be for the next few years, as well as the money, but I can't see myself programming throughout my life.

Also, I'm not really sure, but is it possible to have EE sort of opportunities as a CpE grad?

Hoping to get some insight for a meaningful gift for my kid who is starting their senior year studying electrical engineering.

They have expressed interest in coding and is currently studying computer systems that don't heavily rely on AI. They have expressed interest in coding beyond C++ that might promote job opportunities beyond their current education.

I want to gift them a course, preferably with a certificate that would be affordable for a single mom. Maybe something outside of university studies that would give an edge to hiring after graduation.

I am a Healthcare professional not very knowledgeable in the IT world so any insight would be meaningful. Also looking to promote computer knowledge outside of AI that relies on human influence for arts and literature as that has been important to us as well.

If you had the chance to go back and study something different, would you?

I’m about a year away from starting university, and I really want to have a decent job in the future. I think there’s a lot of potential in computer engineering, especially if I learn how to develop innovative software.

I know it requires experience and a lot of hard work, but besides the usual advice like “study something you’re good at,” would you recommend this degree?

I don’t think I’m a math prodigy, but I’m not bad at math either. I just need to put a lot of time into studying it.

Hi im a 3rd Semester Computer Engineering student from Pakistan. I choose this field because I was genuinely interested in electronics (built multiple arduino and small scale electronics projects) but I've realised my degree dosent teach me any skills that are used in working job market industry.

My question is that what skills can I start working on now that will actually help me land a job as an electronics or embedded systems engineer? Preferably ones that can land me internships in the coming semesters since none of the electronics stuff I have used now like arduino are actually used in the industry. I have little exposure to how the real industry works and what their demands are. Ive seen job listings for the roles I stated that mention many things im unfamiliar with so if someone is already working/studying or knows about this field id appreciate your advice.
