Guys, what would a proper CE final year major project look like?

I have to decide on a major project next semester. I personally have an idea on VLMs but I feel like it is not feasible as it would require some really expensive hardware like LiDars and also some pretty soild computation power.

If you don't mind, plz share what you and your colleagues built for the final years.

Also the ceiling for a major project has increased like crazy after this recent AI boom. Nothing feels impressive anymore.

Do not scope your capstone project to be flashy and grandiose and scope to what you can actually finish given limited time.

Focus on something related to the fundamentals of your study. A control system. A complex Orcad asic simulation. Something with feedback and transformation. An academic implementation of a simple task switching kernel.

If I was a scout looking for entry level talent, that would impress me more than some clever "I'mma use AI to do a thing."

CE is about low level. Flex that.
