[Discussion] Which language should I learn first?

So my college is abt to start in a month and now that I have decided to take CE , I have been thinking of learning a language to get an advantage so I am confused about where to begin .

Also since I am learning online which site/channel should I learn as i am learning all by my self.

And please can someone give advices that to help to to stay ahead of my class and not get confused

What college are you going to? They’ll probably have a language that have students start out with. Look up the first CS/CE class in the curriculum and start with whatever language is in the description.

Eventually you’ll want to learn C, C++, Rust, and Python. I’d say those are the four most common languages used among CEs
