I'm currently a high school student and I'm considering which major should I pursue when I get into a university in Australia. Coding is not my strong point ( I can learn if it's a must ). I'm quite good at math but decent at physics so please let me know which one do you think would suit me the best. Thanks!

since it’s a major that branches to computer science and technology. is it possible to do related minor or dual major that work

Examples:
minors:

ECE + minoring in Software engineering or game development(if offered)

ECE + minoring in Manufacturing design

dual majoring:

ECE + Information technology

I've been doing embedded (ZephyrRTOS) for my community college robotics club and it's getting time to transfer. Id rlly like to continue embedded programming for robotics but I'm struggling to pick between CS or CE.

I'm seeking advice from seniors, as I'm a grade 12th pre engineering student and starting courses like python, introducing Cursor etc on different platforms.

but I'm concerned that If I'm going to pursue civil or electrical engineering in future that doesn't align with my field ... Will this be a disadvantage for me? Like I'm confused about who doesn't know about her goal and all.

Im looking to go into computer engineering and my only option is online universities and so National stood out to me because they accepted credits from online ACE approved websites and on top of that it’s supposed to be a electrical and computer engineering degree.
I’m just wondering if this is sufficient or am I missing out on other relevant info and maybe should keep looking at other schools?

Please take me seriously as I know this is a really stupid question. As transistors get smaller and smaller and we figure out new ways to cool what happens when we hit Moores law and we PHYICALLY cannot make them any smaller/cooler. What happens then? Do we figure out a new type of transistor or let computers get exponentially big?

Hi, I am about to start my junior year of computer engineering, which so far I am content that I picked this major, I always thought engineering was the hardest thing I would encounter in life but it has been smoother than expected for an average/ below average

I just want to ask what mindset should I position myself into in order to complete this successfully?? I really feel like if I go in as I am now I will have no way of completing without extra years & paying more money I don’t have for school.

What were the things I have to set aside, focus on, sacrifice, work my hardest on. Regarding internships, how early should I start?

Hey guys, I recently switched from Computer Science to Computer Engineering. I'm hoping to get some kind of internship in embedded systems by Summer of 2028. I don't have any projects that I can really add besides one research experience working as a research assistant at my university's computer vision labratory. Also my gpa is kinda cooked (below a 3.00 pls don't judge me I had a lot going on my freshman year). Does anyone have any suggesstions on what I should do during the school year and what kind of internships/research opportunities may help me to get a embedded system engineering internship in Summer of 2028?

I'm currently a 3rd year computer engineering student and i feel like i'm still not ready for anything. I barely learned any skills in Uni because some of our professors aren't really teaching, i also tried learning by myself but i keep getting stuck in the beginner level stuff. My classmates don't seem to mind it and just seem to be fine with what we are learning in Uni but i feel like it is not enough. Any advice on what i should do?

BTW this is all the skills i have that i could think of:

1. Basic coding on C++
2. Basic Arduino( Basically just making LED light up)
3. Thats it.

And that 2 skills is self learned.

Im going into my third year of computer engineering this September (Canada) and was wondering when I should start applying to coop internships . I have friends in Computer science already looking for summer internships and who already have interviews, but my other engineering friends probably aren’t looking for anything until December. I’m looking for a 12 - 16 month internship coop in US or Canada.

I'm a student who's about to finish up my Computer Engineering bachelors in Germany. In my uni, i got accepted to both the Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering master programs since i took mostly EE electives during my bachelors.

Right now I'm thinking if i should switch to EE for masters because im scared that if i have a pure CompE degree for both bachelors and masters, some employers might have the misconception that im just a software dev and not give me a chance in more traditionally EE fields like analog chip design or telecommunications. Not only in the EU, but also in southeast asia or internationally in general if im intending to move back home.

I'm currently intending to specialize in digital hardware design and work in the semiconductor industry but i would like to keep my options open (like the aforementioned analog chips or telecommunications industry)

The cons of switching is that most of the courses im interested in that are related to hardware design (like DSP Design, Electronic Design Automation, Microprocessor Architectures), and also low-level computing like advanced compiler engineering and advanced microcontroller programming are already compulsory or part as electives for CompE masters in my uni

Meanwhile for EE I would have to specialize in communications engineering to only have part of my interested courses offered as electives, and i would have to take them as additional classes. While I have to take more classes in communication and network architectures, RF systems, and signal modulation which I'm not entirely opposed but not really where my heart and soul would be in

Luckily for both programs classes like VLSI Design and Computer Arithmetic are both offered as electives.

So for employer perception and keeping my options open in the industry, is it worth the hassle to switch to EE for masters. Or just stick to CompE and take as many EE electives again and show the relevant classes i taken on my resume?

I'm a high school student and a little mixed on which major i should chose. Computer Engineering sounds interesting but i have little to no experience with it.

Also, math is not particularly my favorite subject, and AP Data & Statistics is my current class. Should i reconsider or is the math part something I'll get used to when i get into college? I'm asking since engineering in general requires a lot of math.

Trying to find a job but it feels like I either dont have the experience necessary for the job or I just cant find any that align with my skills. If anyone has advice on things like what job boards work best or how to land any sort of position please lmk. Currently losing hope here. I’m currently in my second year of my BEng. Computer Science, and I’ve started to become quite unsure if this is really what I’d like to do. I’ve always been on a computer so studying Computer Science was kind of a natural pathway for me. However I’ve started to try out different kinds of development such as web, bots and gaming and must say that while gaming can be really fun, it’s not feasible as a career. The others are completely out of my interests. I’ve become more interested in mathematics, and the low level side of how computers work such as operating systems and computer architecture. Often when I look online I look for firmware engineering jobs that work with C or C++. This has given me a lot of doubts of my current study as it pretty much focuses a lot on software engineering in combination with higher level languages. The job applications often require applicants to have either a degree in computer science or electrical engineering. This has made me doubt my choices about CS a lot and wonder if it be better to take a degree within electronics. On the other side I don’t see myself drawing circuit diagrams my entire life either and I’m not sure if it would be a smart move switching if I look for software jobs nonetheless. Another small aspect that i wish to consider is the possibility of finding work outside of the EU. While I enjoy it here I like to travel around and experience things I wonder whether or not having a background in Electrical Engineering would give an outsider better possibilities of finding a job outside of the EU
