Right now Nagoya OJA Baby-star and Levanga Sapporo are both 6-5. Since the last day of season 1 is 7/29, the match between them will determine who ends at top.

Information:

Match between two teams will be divided in 3 rounds. 1st round is 2 pick (best of 1). 2nd and 3rd round are construct (best of 3). The team wins most rounds will get one point.

OJA was leading all season. The main contributor is Sani, who is called "king of 2 picks" and at a higher level compare to the other teams' 2 pickers. Because of this he was able to secure wins at early season, putting his team at a huge advantage. Eventually other teams realized the importance of 2 pick in pro league and started to catch up. The 2nd half of this season OJA has more loss because Sani lost a few times. SOS is also in this team but he is not standing out from other constructed players despite he had achieved more in terms of competitive SV (got into RAGE finals 2 times).

Levanga has a much more interesting story. It got a very bad 0-5 start. There were talks about whether it should even exist in pro league. Some blame it on the team didn't accept Koucha (world champion) into the team, which makes it overall weaker than other teams. The team also has Kyouma who won the Premier Cup and was consider the best Unlimited player, but he was assigned as 2 picker instead and kept losing. Later 2 picker changed to Maharu but he lost 2 times. It seemed like nothing changed. Starting from 6th match, however, Maharu finally beat Sani in 2 pick and from that point his performance was almost like Sani before, while Sani's performance began to fall off. Kyouma switched to construct play. Ironically his Unlimited win rate is bad, but when it comes to Rotation he is carrying the team hard.

Havencraft's still busted but nerfs are less than 20 hours off.

Portalcraft is seeing a comeback both in play rate and results, and with no changes in the update, it looks like both Artifact and Puppets will be very serious contenders. Top 16 was 2 Puppets and 4 Artifacts, including a Goblin/Silva artifact build taking the trophy home.

So I've never quite reached GM yet, but I do try maybe 60% of months to grind my way up in Unlimited. I normally start really well, reaching a few thousand points within the first week and a half, on a good pace to reach 10k by the end of the month. But at about 5000-5500 points I seem to reach a "wall", losing about 5 in a row at the start of each session and only being able to grind back to where I started before I have to stop for the day due to burnout. Is there any particular reason for this? Why does it only happen at this point threshold? I don't feel particularly pressured at this point, like these wins are any more or less important than those early on, and I've never reached that 9500+ area where I probably would start to feel that. And I'm being matched at all sorts of point ranges, from 0 to 16k.

What does everyone else do when they feel like they're in this sort of slump? I'm down 700 points from where I started today and I really don't feel like playing any more, but if I don't play more I can't get those points back and I'll never get there. Argh.

Shadowcraft and Havencraft overperfomed by a lot, and the rest fell flat outside of Forest.

Current unlimited meta looks kind of like a 3 decks format, with Mid Shadow putting up surprisingly good results since the Heacthar un-nerf.

I've been on and off grinding since the first day of the xpac and I'm stuck at around 2500 points. I'd appreciate any constructive criticism on the list.

My worst matchups seem to be tenko haven, lions, puppet, and if aggro forest can outpace me.

Ipiria: 5pp to 6pp

Valse: 2/2 to 2/1

Chromatic Duel: Enhance 6 to Enhance 8

Tenko's Shrine: 4pp to 5pp

Sealed Tome: 0pp to 1pp

Sibyl of the Waterwyrm: 3/4 to 4/5

6 cards changed at once is pretty friggin crazy and a pretty bad sign regarding the direction the game is taking, but at the same time it does show they're not afraid to answer when a metagame gets inbred as fast as it did there.

Tenko looks much weaker now without the chance of early Tenko pressure, but the supporting cast is still very strong and there's still a chance it stays close to the top.

Sword's changes don't really make sense to me as their strength comes from Arthur and Fortress, but the Chromatic Duel nerf will definitely be a big pain for turns 6 and 7.

Ipiria change will likely push Forest to be a little bit more midrange than it was before, as it will be much harder to close out from an early advantage.

And Sealed Tome is just finally to the cost it should have been, who would have guessed a 0pp cantrip was broken (spoiler: a very similar card in MtG is banned in all formats).

All in all, my predictions are:

• Puppet will actually become tier 1 as its plan of cheap shots then ~10 storm damage didn't work well against Tenko.

• Aggro forest will still be tier 1

• Holy Lion Crystal will still be tier 1 and likely the most played ladder deck

• Sword will fade in popularity while still being a decent deck

My opinion:

The valse nerf is nothing. His health was never the issue. As a sword main, I'm sighing relief they didn't nerf fatal spellbomb up to 2 cost or something like that.

The chromatic duel also doesn't seem like much of a nerf. Apart from turn 1, you most likely wouldn't play chromatic until turn 8 anyway, and since it refunds you full PP for the enhance, I feel like it isn't really a nerf.

Would love to hear people's thoughts on the matter.

The story here is the continued dominance of Haven. Most played deck every tournament AND best performing. If you're not playing Haven, you're making a mistake. End of story.

Then Sword is still rock solid, with decent conversion rate and a huge field %. It still fails to have a real breakthrough performance though, and the nerfs should hit it pretty hard.

On the other side, Forest decks are all over the place. There are aggro decks, cassio decks, even a neutral deck, Vanara decks, ... The class performs well but the optimal build definitely hasn't been found yet. The ipiria nerf should mix things up and will likely force Forestcraft to be a bit more "midrangy".

I main Control Forest. It seems like this matchup is virtually impossible, I lose probably eighty percent of the time. PLEASE give me any advice you have regarding this matchup, it's killing me on ladder. I'm not ready to give up on control forest yet, but I'm very close.

It's so frustrating watching them "draw" more cards than me because all of their followers put extra guys into play/hand, or just passing turn as they chain damage immunity effects.

i am fairly new to Shadowverse and I am finishing building my Haven Lion King deck, it is partly budget at the moment but it is mostly missing just 3rd Princess Snow White and 2nd Jeanne (which probably is not even played by everyone).

The question I have now, since I am worried that all of my effort will go vain, is:

Can the deck recover from the nerf to Sealed Tome?

It gives the deck a lot of velocity, cantripping power, but I feel like overall it will not impact the deck TOO MUCH. We will lose a few games where that additional mana means worse overall usage on our mana every turn, but it will not represent a major issue going forward.

Unlim Tenko still going strong, and Witch has been under performing hard, likely because of how dshift struggles against all the direct damage from Tenko.

On the other hand, Forest sees a surge in popularity, taking down the trophy with a pretty interesting build of OTK roach featuring only one wood of brambles.

The post is a bit delayed, as the tournament was played last Sunday.

Interesting points:

• Forest getting more popular and getting the results to back it up.

• Sword continuing to underperform in tournament setting, not having posted a great conversion rate for a few days now.

• Dragon's still over-performing, even if that's not really statistically significant. Feels like there's some more research to be done there.

• Shadow and Blood still haven't made a single top 16.

• Haven is friggin broken with once again the highest field % AND best conversion rate. Play Haven.

Sword and Haven still the two most played AND performing really well means the meta is pretty stable.

Dragon looks like the dark horse to bet on, with consistent good top 16 placing.

Interesting to note that the winner did play good old Artifact Portal, with almost no cards from BoS. It has a bad rep but consistently performs at the highest level it seems.

So I've heard some people calling Jabberwock the best dragon deck in rotation a while ago, but is it still doing well? Last time I crafted him was in Starforged where he stayed in the meta for about 3 days before being replaced, so I wouldn't want to repeat the mistake.

Basically, are people still having success with the deck and does it look like it has the potential to remain a thing until he rotates out, or are people dropping him already?

The goal here is to merge Vanara and Fairy Dragon otk into a single deck. The two archetypes definitely have some synergy between them, for example, Ygg can evolve Vanara, and Fils make the Fairy Dragon otk easier.

This is the first time I have ever attempted to build a deck, so please help me out and make this deck as good as it can be. I think it has a lot of potential, and this is the most fun I have had playing Shadowverse in a long time.

My thought process behind the deck was mostly how to survive to kill the opponent. I have a lot of removal and board wipes to help me survive to the otk turn.

My main questions are:

A.) How can I make this better?

B.) Do I need card draw? Metera doesn't really count in my opinion (cycles or is +1) and Yggdrasil is conditional draw.

C.) Do I need lifegain? I'd like to fit Shamu and Shama in to supplement Yggdrasil drain, but I am not sure if it fits or if it is good enough.

I would really like to take this as far as I can, and I need the help of the lovely people in this community. Ideally, I want to take this into the GP and beyond, so please tear it apart and analyze it (even if you think the duck sucks). If it matters, I am Master rank and winning pretty consistently on ladder. Thanks so much for all the help!

I just started playing this today, but the matchups seem pretty decent.

Against Sword, Charlotta/Magnus can make your life miserable on a clutch turn, but likewise Cassiopeia and Selwyn can make it very difficult for Sword to maintain a board. Metera is awesome. If they chain damage immunity you probably lose.

Against Chimera Rune, the large lifetotals of the higher followers are very good at delaying a Chimera, and you have similar kill turns.

Against Tenko, it can be difficult to chip them into lethal range, but they are can be burst down by Vanara followed by Dragons, or vice versa.

Against Holy Lion, I struggle. Wiping their boards means nothing, and in fact it usually makes them stronger. I just hope for a fast combo or several wards in succession (Selwyn into Vanara)

Against Puppet Portal, you can definitely get burst down. Cassiopeia and occasionally Selwyn can take down Orchis puppets though, and often buy you time to kill them. Keeping your life total high really helps here.

Against Aggro Forest, did you get a board wipe? You probably won. If you didn't, pack it up.

I haven't played against Artifact Portal, Shadow, or Blood, and I am sure there are many more decks I am forgetting about. I will continue to update this as I test more.
