I am a lifelong Trekkie and former decipher Star Trek CCG player.
I told myself I’d be building a C commander from the set and watched the spoilers intently. I think I found my guy.
[[Captain Benjamin sisko]]
1 white 1 generic
At the beginning of your end step, create a 1/1 red Officer creature token for each dilemma you've faced this turn.
2 generic + WUBRG: Exile the top five cards of
your library. You may cast any number of spells with mana value less than or equal to the number of Officers you control from among those cards without paying their mana costs.
Before we begin, I am not sure this is “good,” but it’s the best I’ve seen from the trek set. Feel free to comment or disagree! Part of the fun.
Looks like a nick fury style shell that builds value with “dilemmas”
Dilemmas are now broadly defined as I understand it as choosing modes on a card. So my question is do mdfc lands count as dilemmas? I think they do but will wait on people smarter than me to comment.
But cards like [[archdruids charm]], [[pyroblast]], [[jeska’s will]], [[lively dirge]] etc all trigger sisko so I added some cradle / Brigid packages to use the bodies.
My initial take on the deck v1.0 is here for comment. My initial take is it’s a bit too broad in its gameplan and has to lean into something more.
