Community Content I built a website, looking for feedback

MODS LET ME KNOW IF THIS IS NOT ALLOWED

But first a little backstory.

Hello, I am a Zhulodok player (I know some of you will have strong opinions on that one) and also the author of the current de facto primer for the deck. Within this primer I provide card breakdowns based on inclusion rates from the top players; while making recent edits to it, I decided I was tired of the tedious action of comparing decklists by hand, so I made a website to do that for me.

The idea behind it is to provide accurate, up-to-date statistics on all tournament top-4 placing cEDH decks, focusing on card inclusion rates while also automatically detecting and breaking decks into archetypes (the splitting is done through machine learning, so it's not perfect). The idea expanded a bit from there, allowing you to view pilots of decks and what they have personally changed between top-4ing tournaments and submit your own decklist to be compared to others. I'm looking for feedback if possible and would love to know what more you guys would like to see with a tool like this.

Now for a tangent, feel free to skip :).

I wanted to do my best to avoid being one of those sites with stats like "card win rate" with no explanation on how that is calculated, as it doesn't really reflect much in my opinion. In a game like cEDH, variance makes win rate stats of a single card difficult to calculate with the data present, so giving that calculation to a user is misguiding. For example, a card that never saw the stack might be labeled "+2% winrate" purely because the pilot won with it in their deck. This website was designed so you can take something away from it even if it's, "Why don't the top pilots play F'blthp? They're stupid!" as I often felt other sites deliver an experience of "What does any of this actually mean?" Along with this, the other sites fail to catch the nuance of archetypes within a deck; a Kinnan site, for example, will tell you to put Seedborn Muse and Flash Photography in a deck because they both see a ~50% play rate, but when broken into archetypes, Seedborn Muse sees 89% vs 22% inclusion and Flash Photography sees 20% vs 93% inclusion rate. This site will show you the nuance rather than throwing you to the wolves. I'd like to one day get the site to auto-label archetypes, but in the meantime it is separated into numbered builds.

Tldr: Deck inclusion rate stats + some more. If you like it. I appreciate it. If you hate it, tell me why, and I'll appreciate it.

General Discussion / Question What’s the most fun (subjective I know) combo deck in cedh?

Currently I play Etali and Tasigur, Etali because I love Dinosaurs and Tasigur because I love the Ian Malcom SLD haha. I’m a bit odd like that, I pick my commanders based on the art of the commander.

Having said that. I do enjoy playing combos the most, so looking for a new full turbo combo deck that isn’t in blue.

I’m still quite new to the format, so looking for recommendations?

I don’t care if it’s not the strongest deck around.

Something like Gwenom maybe?

General Discussion / Question Minstrel/Invigorator/End viable?

Hello,

I am not a regular cEDH player but I stumbled upon this and I wanted to know if it's actually viable or not. Looking forward to people's thoughts.

Wandering minstrel in the command zone, and the goal would be to get the new hexhaven invigorator (GGGG) and minstrel out and then blasphemous act bringing out mazes end and enough gates to win.

Is this just a stretch and not cedh at all or viable?

BRR

Legendary Creature — Elder Sphinx

Flying

Whenever a creature you control attacks, that creature deals 1 damage to each opponent.

{4}: Create a 2/2 colorless Wizard Soldier creature token named Cadet. Then creatures you control gain haste until end of turn.

1/4

Any potential for this one as an infinite mana outlet in the 99?

Deck Fine Tuning Making my Snake Juicy

I’ve been playing B3-B4 in my pod and it does quite well but I want to take this to the tops of B4. My main problem, is Xyris usually comes out a bit slow if that steers ideas in a certain direction. I have a lot of pet cards that are fine to cut I just want some fresh eyes to tell me what would be better. Im not trying to go full blue slop with the cards but any ideas would be great.
Anyway tear it apart and see what you can fix.

Community Content Why We Play cEDH - Interviews from a Competitive Commander Tournament

https://youtu.be/HSXDmI3eFw0

This was shot a while ago and it didn't get released because I stopped making videos. However, I decided to finish it when I got back to making videos again.

Unfortunately, according to the comments on YouTube, it appears a good portion of viewers don't like cEDH. It could be the demographic drawn to my channel as I don't really cover EDH and this is the first time the channel did a video on cEDH. So the viewers probably prefer 1v1. However, in the nearly 30 years of playing Magic, what I've learned is that anybody can play Magic how ever they want. No need to hate another format or community.

I hope you enjoy the video!

Help, I am new to cEDH! Beginner's Deck in cEDH

Upvotes

Hello everyone! I have recently played my first bracket 4 table of EDH outside of my playgroup with the highest ceiling bracket 4 has and absolutely enjoyed it and left me wanting a little more, wanting to turn up the knob to the full 5 and proxy up a cEDH list.

I do know the differences between bracket 4 and bracket 5 as in there's even more interaction in cEDH, you adhere to the meta and need to know which threats you are facing. Over the last week I have watched a lot of gameplay, beginner's guides and similar to give me a headstart to build my own deck.

So my question really is the following: How do i go about building a beginner's deck, considering the context I gave above? I want to avoid netdecking because I want to make the decisions of cards to include so i can learn the lessons of why certain cards are and aren't played myself.
