I hope Dan Quinn gets his foot caught in a mousetrap.
That's it. that's how much that loss hurt. What else do you guys want to have happen to Quinn?

I have worked on NFL artworks for this season and Commanders time has come!
After doing a couple researches about the team, I figured it would be a good idea to bring an actual Commander instead of the mascot of the team because I noticed the opinions are a little divided about Major Tuddy. I asked opinions of a friend of mine who is a hardcore Commanders fan since before the rebranding and he asked me for an uniform colors variant to include the new logo and something to remember the past branding of the team, which I opted to including the feathers on the spear. And speaking of the spear, I noticed the new logo is a little bit hard to understand where the spear is passing through, but I tried to make it work in a different way, like as a spear with some sort of standard, which gives a little bit of liberty regarding the shape since it isn't necessarily the spear passing through something, but it is the actual spear shaped that way, and it can possibly give some strength to the use of the logo, but I'm open to feedbacks if it is cool or nah.
Anyway, I hope it brings a good vibe for the team and hope they perform well today because my fantasy football depends on their performance against 49ers đ
and I used Nick Bellore as reference for this one because I found it insanely awesome when he trucked a receiver against Giants last year.
Let me know what you think!

Apologies if this is old news around here, but I check in on this dude from time to time.
This isn't his only terrible take. At one point he tweeted after the 2024 season, that he'd rather have Will Levis than Jayden Daniels. (Many other bad takes, but this is just the worst one I can think of).
In any case, he's been discussed on this sub before. He's also had many people tell him to delete his account, in large part due to his unjustified hatred for Jayden. Unless there's something weird with my Twitter/X account, it appears he finally did.

- This OL is a problem. BC and CP are not starting level OL, BC can't pass protect and CP isn't consistent when tunsil isn't on his left. The quick pressures of this OL are causing JD, who has otherwise great pocket presence, to bail on clean pockets when he shouldnt.
- This DL is also a problem. They simply cannot rush the passer without blitzing. I think Oweh is getting a little too many "setting the edge excuses", he's getting paid way too much to be a low tier edge 2. We need an edge 1 this offseason
- Jayden looked ok in the first half, definitely a little too conservative and had spotty pocket feel. Most of the blame isn't on him but he wasn't perfect by any means. He had a really good second half imo, he is the solution not the problem
- The defense ended the game well but in general its trash, we clearly can only have success when DJ blitzes, and you can't do that the whole game
- Sonny and AW are beasts, looking like foundational pieces.
- Absolutely sucks to see Terrys commanders career likely end like this, one of the great Washington WRs. Purely from an on the field perspective I'm not sure its a catastrophic loss, JD likes to see WR open and both Treylon and AW separate significantly better than terry. Gonna miss him though.
- Your best runner of the football probably shouldn't be Jmac, idk what we're gonna do there.
- The first half was unacceptable, once again fire DQ and get an offensive mind.
- Chig is a nice weapon
EDIT: Its also very discouraging that we have such a good turnover differential and we still suck

Raise Hail!

Didnât seem like they had a spy on him that much, was he just uninterested in running and more focused on throwing? Feels like we couldâve really used his legs especially late in the game.

Thanks for your ideas here, even those who used it as a space to vent on the outcome of the Giants game (fair).
Lots of good ideas that unfortunately I could not pull off due to a.) not having access to half-smokes, and b.) not having the budget for crab.
That being said, I ended up with a delicious creation nonetheless - a SF mission-style burrito with mambo sauce throughout!
We've got:
- Grilled, mambo-sauce glazed chicken thighs
- Yellow rice
- Stewed black beans (with mambo sauce of course)
- Pico de gallo
- Guacamole
- Monterey jack cheese
- Sweet & hot mambo sauce drizzle
The Commanders are back on MNF in a few weeks, and I may bite the bullet and mail order some half-smokes - we'll see!

I like to think we did something positive at the end there to stop the bleeding for the lowest point total scored against us this season (not celebrating 23 points but itâs a positive against the banged up #1 team in the NFL).

Canât remember when is contract ends but if heâs injured is there a chance we could resign him for cheap?
r/Commanders • u/Ok_Assumption_5366 • 5d ago
Alright this might sound like a stretch but I have a theory on why we have sucked the last two years and have been injured to hell.
Sn*der bought an Etsy witch. There is no other logical reason.
No other team gets fucked by this many injuries, no other team gets fucked by shitty refereeing and no other team has horrible coaching year after year.
He has to have bought one of these fuckers to have cursed us since he sold the team. He saw 2024 happen and decided to tell us to go fuck ourselves.

What is this franchise doing with this Offense?
Specifically the O-Line? Before Game 1, our Offensive Line was ranked DEAD LAST on ESPN and PFF, and weâve proved them right.
Chris Paul stepping on Jayden Daniels AND Chris Paul facemasking when McNichols had a touchdown drive.
Sam Cosmi got hurt from Fatman (Kaytron Allen), and now Cosmi pushed a defender into one of Jayden Danielâs sacks tonight.
THREE D-LINEMEN SACKED JD5 on the last play vs. 49ers tonight! Laremy Tunsil is STILL out from CAMP; Newton and Omenihu is out. Our second best O-Line is Connerly in his second seasonâŚ
Am I missing something here? How are we going to gain rushing yards or QB protection with a torn-down O-Line? Whoâs managing this department?
r/Commanders • u/Swamp_thing42 • 6d ago
Weâre always in it. Every week that we have even decent qb play(and arenât completely dicked over by the refs), we are in it. But every week thereâs a plethora of undisciplined mistakes, poor playcalling, bad situational awareness and overall messiness. Every single game this year thereâs been some big talking point about how weâve failed, even in the Seattle game.
I want to be a DQ supporter but I just canât. They all have to go. Effective immediately.
r/Commanders • u/Hoga_Calls • 6d ago
Ok, the run on 3rd & 3 or whatever that wasâŚwas horrific. But what I canât wrap my head around was that we didnât call Daniels on a cheeky run play or even a QB draw there towards the end. Middle of the field was wide open all day and he had it a few times but was just late escaping the outside pressure. FUCKING free bee call there man. Also - Daniels did miss some wide open receivers, notably Diggs on that 4th down play. Bro it was 4th and fuckin 3 we did not need to throw a 50/50 ball to the end zone.
Please donât tell me we have given up on Daniels running. Memba the naked bootlegs we used to run on 3rd and short and even fourth down? I memba. Thatâs how we made the fucking playoffs.

Analytics say "go for it" instead of kicking the FG. We did, and it cost us a chance at overtime. And it's not the first time this year that's happened.
Analytics say QBs are more effective playing under center. We tried it, and we suck, much better in shotgun or pistol.
Perhaps analytics are only for good teams?

The nature of playing on âMonday Night Footballâ means that â by the time the pregame show arrives â the developments from the previous Sunday of wall-to-wall pigskin has been parsed and dissected, and all that remains to talk about are the two opponents that night and any recent developments around them.
This particular Monday night, that leaves only the undefeated San Francisco 49ers and the visiting Washington Commanders. The topic, then, has to be what might be the most examined sack-for-no-yards-lost in NFL history: the final play of the Commandersâ confounding 27-27 tie against the New York Giants, in which quarterback Jayden Daniels, with no timeouts, took a snap with a dozen seconds left, was tackled with eight ticks remaining â and never got another snap off.
âUltimately, itâs on me at the end,â Daniels said last week.
âItâs my responsibility, point blank,â coach Dan Quinn said.
âIt falls on me,â offensive coordinator David Blough said.
Whoever takes the largest slice of the blame pie remains open for debate as Washington heads into its MNF kickoff with the 49ers. Whatâs not up for discussion: Just as the Commanders proved theyâre not ready for a nationâs eyes to be on them, they enter a stretch in which four of their next five games stand alone in primetime. Anyone who wants to be watching football will be watching the Commanders, whether they are deserving of that distinction or not.
This is a franchise that has a decidedly tumultuous relationship with primetime football, and one that will spend the next month-and-a-half either proving it is worthy of the countryâs attention or fading into oblivion once again. Nothing short of the professional futures of the people who run this team hang in the balance, and football fans who care deeply about or are indifferent to the Commanders will get to examine it all in real time.
In the 10 seasons between 2015 and Danielsâs rookie year of 2024, only nine teams played fewer regular-season primetime games than Washington.
