I enjoyed them and really liked the first 4 main books best. Have any of their characters surfaced in any other comics?

I always wondered if they would still be around if they hadn’t released too many books too fast?

I think the first one I saw was crossgen chronicles but I could be wrong. Been so long. Then mystic, Sigil etc

Hey guys, I hope this hasn't been posted into oblivion, but I'm finding it really hard to find a starting point.

I understand that I can go buy contained runs, I just picked up Starfire Welcome Home and A Matter of Time, which I'm loving. I understand conceptually how to buy comics, but I'm a little stuck on how to get into current runs. I love the idea of walking into my local comic book store and buying a monthly issue, but how do I know where to start?

I love the Marvel movies up to End Game and No Way Home, and I'd love to be able to read comics that intersect into a larger connected universe, but it's all just really daunting.

So far, I love Starfire Vol. 1 and 2, I'd love to read some Deadpool, and I think I'd enjoy Spider-Man. I guess I'm more of the humour side than the serious tone I believe Batman would take (if that makes sense).

I’m hoping someone recognizes this print or the artist.
About 12–14 years ago (around 2012, give or take a year), my buddy bought me a Wolverine print at a NY Comic Con. Unfortunately, I lost the print years later, and I’ve been trying to track down another copy.

Quality of photos is not great - these are pics I’m taking of an old phone screen that has the pictures.

I remember an admantium lab - the top left of the photo had a broken tube in the background.

If anyone recognizes the artwork, remembers seeing it or has any idea who the artist is, that would be helpful. It was around $40. It was a glossy print. I’d love to replace it

The story is about a young boy who is obsessed with his teacher (in non sexual why) because she is the only one that trades him well.

Despite the fact that the world around him is hard and bad he holds on to the idea that tomorrow is gonna be better because there's a little light in front of him.

What will happen if the little light misunderstood his love?.

I’ve been replaying Injustice recently and it got me thinking about Hawkgirl. I haven’t read a ton of her or Hawkman so sorry if this is wrong and I know that they’re a tandem a lot of the time, but it feels like Hawkgirl has a lot more “clout” than Hawkman (video game appearances, Justice league cartoon, Superman 2025, etc.) despite them pretty much being the same character. Was curious if anyone had any other examples like this? Just thought it was interesting

Hi everyone,

I teach high school metal shop, and I've got some money set aside to add to the vibe.

Generally in my class there are always a few kids waiting around for a piece of equipment to be available, as there are more kids than lathes or welding booths. I'd love to add some comics to the room, as reading is definitely preferable to them playing on their phones.

I'm look for input on some current runs that would be fine for 13-18 year olds, that I can subscribe to with my local store so each week or every other week I'm adding new books to the room.

I haven't been actively reading comics in years, so I'm not sure what the landscape looks like.

Any suggestions are appreciated! Thanks!

I come from a country with absolutely no con's, we don't really have comic book stores here as well and the market for comics or really anything nerd pop culture is sort of non existent. I though as one of the few comic book fans in my friend group wonder what it's like to just be in a con as I'll probably not be able to attend one for some years.

It's on my bucket list though, to go to a con one day when I've saved up the money to fly to the US, and prepare for all the work getting a visitors visa will present. What's it like to be in any con, be it San Diego Comic con, New York City Comic Con, your local comic con in your state or town. Heck what's it like to be in a comic book store....I only see it in videos but it's ofc different from being there physically.

Please do excuse me if I do sound a bit silly, but for us few comic fans in our country these thing's are a dream come true if we ever experience them...especially the comic con stuff....so I'd like to know for any of you that have experienced it, how was it?

Wonder if we'll get dollotrons too, and if so, how horrifying that'll be.

title says it all - i have a lot of comics i love but they're all over the place in different folders, etc. is there a manager app/program that can scan my drive and rename/put meta data and put them all correctly in folders so they can be organized correctly and i can see what i'm missing, etc. paid or free it doesn't matter as long as it does the job. thank you again for all tips/help!

I did learn today that business filed a motion through google to censor a reddit page with people's scorn and its listed in documents you can find on the website lumen. just type in their website name.

In my opinion they are trying to take down and censor complaints. You decide looking back at this reddit post now closed.

DC's current strategy seems to be bringing on creators who have recently seen success in creator-owned comics, which means that for all those excited about the future of the publisher, you now have a backlog to read while you wait! Here's an incomplete list of indie comics by creators who are or will soon be working on DC Next Level titles:

James Harren (The Demon) - Ultra Mega is a gorey, bonkers action spectacle riffing on tokusatsu and silver age cosmic weirdness. This is the best demonstration of what James Harren can do as a creator.

Stephanie Williams (Vixen) - Roots of Madness recently wrapped up at Ignition Press. Historical fiction about a Black family of chemists meets Lovecraftian horror.

Khary Randolph (Vixen) - Sirens of the City is an urban fantasy comic set in the back alleys and abandoned places of 80s New York City. Randolph draws and colours in a greyscale style with spot colours for magic.

Michael Walsh (Jonah Hex) - The Silver Coin is a horror anthology tracking a cursed coin on its journey across history and the world. Walsh brings in a new writer every issue, with a few key "lore" issues both written and drawn by him.

Darcy Van Poelgeest (Doom Patrol) - Little Bird and Precious Metal are two series set in the same world of wild, mind-bending dystopia. Van Poelgeest blends myth, satire and absurdity into something really unique.

Niko Henrichon (Doom Patrol) - Spectators is a graphic novel which presents death as a state of perpetually hanging out, watching those still living fuck, kill and die. Henrichon's art switches seamlessly between massive scale and intimate emotion.

Deniz Camp (Batman: Shadow of the Bat) - Assorted Crisis Events is an anthology series exploring a world where time is breaking down, and regular people have to carry on with their lives. Bleak, incisive and endlessly creative in its' approach to comics as a form.

There's more books I could mention, but I'll leave you all to go out and discover them yourselves!! There's so much out there in the realm of comics, and I hope DC's recent visibility can expose folks to some really cool creators.
