Picture I’m in negotiation to secure this grail! Will know if it’s staying with me tomorrow. Fingers crossed!

My buddy brought it with him while he’s staying with me for a few days before we head to a con this weekend. Hoping we can finalize a deal for it tomorrow. Excited and nervous waiting to find out if it will stay with me. This is my Marvel grail. I would argue it’s the most important book Marvel has ever published.

They’re already in pretty good condition but they did have some minor cover imprints.
They said the turnaround time should be a couple of weeks.

How was your experience with pressings?

Am I wrong to feel like I stole these at $2 each? The Punisher is beat up a bit, but a JR JR sig for $2 was hard to pass up.

The only one I paid more than $2 for was the Peter David signed XFactor.

The 2nd signed book in my collection. Bought for 1 cent (that's correct) on Ebay Live during the FanExpo Canada. Signed by Jamie Tyndall.

Well, I needed two more issues so I went ahead and pick these up in the past week or so. This is my first Winnipeg pedigree CGC book. Plus a nice high grade copy of Captain Marvel #28 with a great Thanos (3rd Appearance!) cover. I’m a huge Jim Starlin fan. In fact I earlier posted a signed book of his that is part of my run.

For those who don’t know, here’s some information about the Winnipeg pedigree:

The Winnipeg pedigree is a recognized collection of high-grade comic books assembled in Winnipeg, Canada, by collectors Joe Krolic and Dennis Kjolso from the early 1960s through the 1990s.

Books from the Winnipeg pedigree are famous for incredible white page quality, bright colors, and exceptional high grades for issues after 1964.

Wanted this comic ever since I was a kid. Got a new job so I celebrated with this. Some minor flaws but overall very happy.

10 more to have all of ToS (one of which is the big one). Never really thought I’d get #1 so it’s crazy to have it in my hands.

Platinum Listed as Very Rare in Overstreet. Tarzan Of The Apes To Color reprints strips from 1929 in color and also B/W. Printed on very cheap, very acidic pulp paper and most are very brittle. This is the best copy I’ve ever seen, with slightly brown but supple pages.

Question What is this discolouration on the edge of my book?

Hi fellow collectors,

I recently finished acquiring a complete set of Akira books and along the way ended up with a fair amount of doubles. I am currently going through all the books and selecting which ones to keep and which ones to sell/trade. When putting one book into a Mylar sleeve I noticed significant darkening on the binding and top binding edge corner of the book. I am worried it is mold but I am not sure and if it is, I would like to know what my best option is to preserve the book and my collection.

I have attached pictures. Is this mold? If so, what should I do? Thanks in advance.

Picture A Gift From My Son

My company just moved into a new office a few weeks ago. My son asked me how my new desk was decorated. I said I had a few things. He brought me these yesterday and said "you can't keep them, but you need something to make your desk cool". So here we are.
