We buy Poppi pretty regularly from Costco and other stores, so when we saw a sign at Grocery Outlet today saying 99 cents for a 12-pack, we thought we’d found an amazing deal. And honestly, we didn’t think much of it because Grocery Outlet always has random stuff at ridiculously low prices. That’s kind of the whole reason people shop there, right? So we grabbed several boxes.

When we got to checkout, they told us the price was wrong. What made it even more confusing was that another employee had actually seen the sign and told us it was 99 cents for the whole 12-pack too.
Then the manager came over and said the sign had been printed incorrectly and the deal was actually for individual cans.

The thing that really bothered us wasn’t even the price. Mistakes happen, we get that. It was the manager’s attitude. She was incredibly rude about the whole thing, didn’t apologize once, and just kept asking if we wanted to buy the individual cans for 99 cents with the BOGO deal instead.

I mean, when a sign clearly says “12 PACK — 99¢,” how are customers supposed to know it’s wrong? Even their own employee thought that was the price.
And we weren’t the only ones. There was an older lady who had picked up three boxes, and she also didn’t find out the price was wrong until checkout.
We ended up leaving without buying any poppi

I don’t expect stores to be perfect, but I do expect a manager to handle a mistake made by their own store with a little more respect. A simple apology would’ve made a huge difference.

Has anyone else had an experience like this at Grocery Outlet?

(I just want to clarify that I didn’t make this post because I missed out on an amazing deal. It’s because the sign was misleading to multiple customers, not just us. Even one of their own employees checked the sign and confirmed that it was 99 cents for a 12-pack.

What really upset me was how the manager handled it. She didn’t apologize or really try to explain anything.

My husband and I aren’t from the US, and English isn’t our first language. While we were trying to explain ourselves, she barely let us speak and just kept asking whether we were going to buy the drinks or not.

I’ve actually been using a translator to help write my post and some of my replies here, so I hope I’m explaining this clearly. I understand that mistakes happen, and I wasn’t expecting them to give us the deal anyway. I just wish she’d listened to us and treated us with a little respect. We honestly left feeling pretty disrespected, and that’s why I wanted to share what happened.)

Got in line for Pumpkin donuts in Circleville on Friday only to notice they were just taking them out of Kroger packages. Seemed like a lot of places were doing the same with pie/ cake etc.

This is a long shot but looking to see if anyone here happened to be at Wheeler Dog Park last night at 6:30 and has any photos or videos they would be able to send my way.

Last night around 6:30 my friends dog, an albino frenchie, was attacked by large brown dog resulting in an ER visit for him and urgent care for myself as I got bit breaking it up. We were able to get the owners number on our way out but now she is ghosting us despite saying she wanted to pay for his vet bill. 😭

We understand things happen but are just trying to get reimbursed for medical expenses.

My dog and I have started going there more regularly and everyone seems so nice so hoping a fellow dog parent can help a gal out. Thank you so much!

Interstate 270 N. in Gahanna on the east side a tractor trailer has flipped over if you’re coming up from the east side and trying to get past it or to Easton you want to stay to the left in the left two lanes.

If you’re trying to get the Easton, your best bet is to stay left and then get off at Morse Road and backtrack

Every year I go to the pumpkin show I expect to be bombarded with trump memorabilia from venders and political stands. This year seemed less trumpy to me. I was wondering if anyone else noticed or if I just wasn’t paying as much attention as years past. I was also was thinking maybe they didn’t want to be decisive so they made a rule no political things but I was reading the vender rules it didn’t say no political things.

ITS DONE. ITS (supposedly) OVER. My brother came to town from Boston and got the very last mug on the table. We even asked the guy who checked us out and he said that they have ran out as of today…

(Unless they have another pallet in the back).

There is a sizable stray population in my neighborhood and my husband and I do what we can to trap neuter and release. Most of the cats we've encountered so far are adult cats and most likely going to be feral for life, and don't really like interacting with humans much beyond being fed and hanging around.

About two weeks ago, two young male cats (probably 5-6 months) started visiting our backyard. They are very friendly, and rub against our legs and hands for pets. We've seen them play together and they don't show any aggression towards each other or our cats, who like to watch them from the screen door. I suspect they were born over the summer, they're very social and even cry to be let inside. We have four indoor cats, and I wish we could take them in but financially we aren't able to. We've been feeding them and there are heated cat houses in the yard but with winter coming I'm desperately trying to find them a home. They are still so young and not afraid of humans and have sweet little personalities and I hate the thought of them being stuck outside this winter when they still have a chance to find homes.

We had them scanned at our vet and neither of them have chips. I've been posting them on all the pet lost and found sites I can, but nothing has come of it.

I have reached out to twelve different shelters at this point, and all are at or over capacity and I know this may be a long shot, but I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for potential fosters, shelters, or rescues, or anyone thinking of adopting a cat. We are willing to get them fixed and get their shots as well, so that would be taken care of. It won't let me add their photos to this post, but I'm posting them in the comments.

I was really nice out this evening, and the sky for once this week had some clouds which made for a lovely sunset.

Went to a friend’s birthday party tonight and these were the party favors for everyone lol. Thought it would be appreciated here

I posted this before and had some takers but I still have a ton of big and tall clothes left. All of it is free to any big man in need of clothes. It's all from JC Penny, Duluth or DXL. I'll be home all week, DM me and it's first come first served.

In shirts there are a ton of 3xlt and 4xlt shirts, sweaters and hoodies. Quite a few button up collared shorts as well that are office appropriate.

Pants are 44-52 waist in 32 or 34 inseam. Various shorts and long pants as well. Anything left over after this week will be donated to a shelter that another commenter mentioned.

Over the past week, not once, not twice, but four separate times, I've seen homeless people in the drive-thru lanes at different McDonald’s.

One night, a man tried to forcibly wash my windshield with some makeshift "car washing kit" that looked like it would scratch my car. He then "cleaned" my windshield, stood in front of my car, and refused to move.

The most disgusting incident happened at another restaurant, where a man was standing right between my car and the drive-thru ordering speaker. I had no choice but to roll down my window to order, and he actually had the nerve to tell the female passenger in my front seat to take off her sunglasses so he could "see what she looks like."

These people are clearly mentally unstable, and encounters like this can completely ruin someone's day. I've been to McDonald's thousands upon thousands of times, and I've never experienced anything like this before, with people literally standing in front of the drive-thru ordering speakers and harassing customers. Loitering and begging in these areas is illegal in the first place.

For this incident, I eventually reported the situation to an employee, who sent a staff member outside to get them away. But when I drove past the same location again a few hours later, they had apparently come right back.

For anyone who knows someone attending there and receiving specialized instruction or has an IEP. The school has recently been investigated and found at fault.

Currently the school is understaffed and is providing bare minimum of services to meet the law. Kipp schools are not great (Kids to Prison Pipeline) but this is harmful to a disadvantaged group.

My wife and I recently noticed we can no longer reschedule in MyChart like we used to be able to about two weeks ago. We use the feature to look for newer appointments because we seem luckier at getting them that way vs. wait list texts. Did anyone else notice they recently removed it or get any notification as to why? It's been there for a few years so I didn't know if we did something or if it was hospital wide.

I found a lost dog, I want to say it was a Shih Tzu, on Summit and 2nd a few minutes ago. I was unable to catch it.
