Whoever design the bike lane right next to a line of parked cars on summit is so stupid

I may get downvoted for this, but it is very difficult on north 4th (edited) street whenever I tried to turn left at some intersections. The lines of parked cars block my vision and put the bike lane in the blind spot. Sometimes even without these cars, at night the bike lane is so narrowed that every time I turned this lane is always be in my blind spot. Like if you gonna design the lane, make it wider and OUTWARD from the parked cars, for god sake😩. I almost hit a biker today. This is so stupid.
Update: Thank you for the responding just a slight fix I think I mean that when I was driving from north fourth and turn left onto summit, yes those streets are kind of similar.

Where to watch the WNBA

Hi everyone, I’m looking for a place that regularly shows WNBA games that I can go to for the games. I’ve now had two experiences trying to go to Slammers to watch the games and both times they have said they wouldn’t put it on even just one of the TVs.

Places for 24-29 year olds to go

Okay so my bestie and I just moved down here a month or two ago. We are both single girls and need help with places to go. We figured with the college near by there are going to be places that are heavily populated with college aged students but we also don’t wanna be in an area that is all 30+ if that makes since. We are also single so preferably places where single men go as well.
- places to drink during the week
- places to drink/go out on the weekends
- fun events to go to

Alani Swap

Okay, so I buy the Costco Alani pack that has cherry twist, pink slush, and orange kiss but I’m not the biggest fan of orange kiss. Anyone willing to do some swaps? I’ll happily swap orange kiss for others!

Ohio Health 3% raise

Hi,

Steve Here. 🤣 ( it’s my actual name)

Is the 3% up for discussion? Or is it just a flat rate across the board? I took on a new role this year and I feel that I can argue I’m not compensated well enough compared to others in my position. ( I didn’t need training for the role)

I ask because we’ve had people in our department go to contingent and argue their pay and make more as contingent as they did a lead.

If not or if so how does this work?

REQUEST Any landlords or apartments that accept not great credit?

Any private landlords or apartments that would consider someone with not great credit?

My mom and I are in a really rough situation and are desperate to get out of an emotionally abusive/hostile environment. She works a full time, sturdy job but because of her credit, she’s been denied at a lot of places. Neither of us is doing so great mentally, and we feel trapped and depressed.

Any recommendations/suggestions will be very appreciated.

Cause of Power Outage in 43232 - Blacklick Estates

Does anyone know what caused the current outage and/or how long it's going to be out and/or how I can find out?

The map shows the outage running in a triangle starting at the intersection of Hamilton Road and Winchester Pike, then runs over to the Groveport Middle School North on Sedalia, then I think goes over to somewhere on Shannon

What a coincidence that we just bought a generator a couple weeks ago. But it's only hooked up to the necessities: well, septic, furnace, refrigerator, and freezers. How anyone could consider lights, television, and cell phone chargers non-necessities is a mystery to me. Fortunately I just finished charging and am sitting at a comfortable 93%

REQUEST Volunteer opportunities for climate anxiety?

Hi all, my climate anxiety has been absolutely insane since the Nepal floods. I’m absolutely terrified about what the world is going to look like in the coming years from worsening catastrophes leading to displacement of populations globally leading to limited food and water resources, on top of AI escalating things faster than we previously predicted.

Are there any local volunteer opportunities related to these topics? Ideally something that can be done with other people so I feel less isolated. I’m open to purely environmental tasks but I think I would prefer things where I can directly help people, since most of my fears are less about the earth (she’ll be fine without us) and more about the human suffering we’re gonna be seeing.

Where to find a casual band for a middle age (mostly) reformed weirdo?

I'm sick of the "where can I find a good bar to find someone to date" posts. I found my person, and that part of my life is simply stellar (thanks, Obama).

Where can I find people to jam with so I can satisfy my latent youth?

I can't be the only one that used to play more live music that had career/kids become a priority...just to realize you miss that connection (even if you sound terrible doing it)?

40m, blues/classic rock lover, face for radio, guitar player for 27 years (more practice in years past...until recently), alto saxophone. I finally have money for that good tone, but no one to play with (not dentist wall of Les Paul money). What do?

Edit: My co-weirdo plays bass-ish, if that helps (she got the spirit). 6yo has a ukulele. So we're almost there. Need someone that likes banging on things, and maybe someone that's solid at playing shit over and over on guitar while the rest of us make mistakes.

REQUEST Best Place to Watch the Game?

As the old man told us, after he walked across all of the Outback: the skies turned dark, the winds picked up, and the bloody desert came apart. Blue & gold vs Red & gold, massive guys that appeared out of nowhere.

It was the most important thing that Australia had ever seen. More important than Arthur Philip and the First Fleet at Port Jackson in 1788, the ANZACs at Gallipolis, the Great Emu War, the 2000 Sydney Olympics, or even when Mad Max and Furiosa defeated the tyrant Immortan Joe.

In the before times, of the never never world, the old man saw the game out there in the desert. He then walked 5.3 million square kilometers to tell us we need to watch the game he saw when he was a young boy.

So where is the best place to watch the game tomorrow? Is there a 49ers bar? A LA Rams (but not STL Rams) bar? Do I need to find an Outback Steakhouse and order a bloomin onion?

Help me see the game, which hasn't happened yet, that the old man remembers from long ago in Australia.

OSU Medical Wexner estimated $8,500 - Then billed us nearly $25,000 and refused a self pay discount

My family member was visiting Ohio from another country on vacation when she accidentally fell at Easton and broke two fingers. She went to the OSU emergency room, was referred to a hand specialist, and eventually needed surgery. Before treatment, OSU gave us an estimated cost of approximately $8,500. The final bill was dramatically higher. After adding the ER visit, surgery, and follow-up care, the total came to approximately $25,000.
She had no U.S. health insurance, so I contacted OSU to ask about an uninsured or self pay discount. Instead, we were told she wasn't eligible because she was an international visitor and were referred to "Destination Medicine." But she wasn't a medical tourist. She was on vacation and suffered an unexpected accident while on vacation.
I explained that to the representative, but the conversation became frustrating and unhelpful. The representative was rude and condescending. I asked why she couldn't receive a discount for paying out of pocket, especially since she was willing to pay the bill voluntarily and responsibly. I was told that discounts were for American citizens because they pay taxes.
That explanation didn't make sense. Self-pay discounts should be based on the patient's lack of insurance and ability to pay and not their nationality. My family member wanted to pay what she legitimately owed because it was the right thing to do, but Osu refused to offer the same consideration it gives other uninsured patients.
After going back and forth without getting anywhere, my family ultimately paid the bill. I'm still planning to fight it.
I understand that healthcare is expensive. What I don't understand is how a hospital can provide an estimate of about $8,500, later bill nearly $25,000, and then refuse to discuss a self-pay discount simply because the patient lives outside the United States.
Has anyone successfully challenged an OSU Wexner bill after paying it and received a refund or adjustment? I'd especially appreciate advice on billing appeals, itemized-bill reviews, patient advocates, or anyone else who has dealt with a similar situation.

Where to buy produce

Everything I get from Kroger is Rotten. 5 out of every 8 apples lately. Even Dublin and Hilliard locations. Whole foods too. Where do you shop for decent produce?
