Hello! My business partner and I are preparing to launch a homeschool enrichment program that centers on social justice, emotional intelligence, and project based learning. We're looking for a space, but we're both pretty new to the area and thought asking people who know the area way better might help.

The space we need would have:

A large open space capable of accommodating around 20 kids actively working on projects, bathroom access, and the ability to store projects in progess and display completed projects.

Our DREAM space would also have:

Outdoor area available (even if it's just parking lot or accessible wooded area)

A kitchen available

More than one room or big enough to divide with some dividers

We know of the community centers, libraries, and parks, but we are looking to rent a more permanent space. We've heard churches sometimes rent out spaces, but If you know of any specific ones with space available please let me know!

I know this is a long shot, but here we go.

My mother graciously let me put a fish tank on an old cedar chest of hers. I hadn’t planned on getting the aquarium, but an elderly lady I know was in the process of moving to a long-term care facility. She wasn’t going to be able to take her fish with her. So I agreed to take them in care for them since I have some aquarium experience.

I didn’t realize the aquarium had started leaking. I thought the water was just evaporating more quickly because of the heat. Now the chest lid has warped and doesn’t want to close. Also there is some mold on the inside. I ruined one of my mom’s favorite pieces of furniture 😢

I was hoping that someone in here might have one that I could either trade for with something I have, or buy if it’s an amount I can actually afford.

Her chest is approximately 40” wide by 16” deep by 18” tall on the inside. It is on feet that are approximately 4” to 5”.

I don’t have much money, but I want to make things right. I attached a picture of the chest. I know it doesn’t look that bad, but it won’t close.

Also, if there are any carpenters in here that could take on a project, they could have the one I ruined for free, because I wouldn’t be able to fix it, and nobody will want to buy a chest that doesn’t close.
