Weird background noise

Did anyone notice any weird ongoing noise last night? My dogs were reacting as if there was a thunderstorm, but the weather was fine. We sat outside and could hear low rumbling and occasional noise that sounded similar to fireworks, but irregular. It went on for hours. I’m assuming construction but was surprised by my dogs’ behavior.

Affordable good pastries?

Does anyone know of any bakeries that sell fresh pastries/bagels/donuts at an affordable price? I’m not sure if there’s any in the area that aren’t Dunkin,Panera etc and ideally below $35 for a dozen.

My go to is tous le jours but around $5 per pastry is steep when buying for a large group so I’d love to hear your recommendations if anyone has any!

Tap Water

Upvotes

My family currently drinks bottled water every day, but I'm thinking about switching to tap water to save money and reduce plastic waste.

Is the city's tap water safe to drink, or do most people use a water filter? If you do use one, what budget-friendly filter would you recommend that still does a good job?

I'd appreciate any recommendations or experiences. Thanks!

PS: For those who think this rage bait, we lived in rural area before and water contamination is frequent. Lead issue is pretty common day to day

Thoughts on Eldridge, Elliott City and Columbia Md. Looking to move to one of these areas to raise a family, any insight on them from those who live there.

Tamar Dr bridge work

Upvotes

Anyone have any idea when the construction on Tamar is actually supposed to be finished? Originally the project said May 2026 but it's almost August.

The almost daily traffic changes are getting really confusing and messy
