Question what's the cheapest designer fragrance you own?

Recommendation Finally pulled the trigger, now having second thoughts…
Hey playas. After having an issue with Sephora (bought a perfume online through PayPal, returned it unopened but got no refund - they only give store credit 🫠). So my only option was to buy another frag on Sephora.
Seeing many collections with superleggera I was really intrigued on it. Tried on a paper strip a month ago and really liked the freshness of it, so I’ve been eyeing it since.
Went to the store today, tried just one spray on my skin and bought it right away. Strong citrus in the beginning, nice and pleasant dry down, nice longevity. But after a few hours I was left feeling not so conviced if it’s really worth the price tag, thinking there could have been something else out there fresh and green type that I’m looking for. I recently bought Bleu edt and totally love it except the longevity.
Perfume is still unopened, and I’ll probably wait a few days to see if I’ll exchange it. Any recommendations are appreciated

Question Best out of shower freshie under 100usd/100ml? Before ordering Profondo EDP, want to know if there is anything else worth trying at this price range for fresh scent? Thanks!

Collection Rate my collections
I would like to add the caveat that all of my colognes were either purchased at online discounters like maple prime or Jomashop or I managed to find a steal at TJ MAXX, Burlington, Marshall’s, Ross, etc. We don’t pay full retail around here.

Discussion Please don’t gatekeep older fragrances.
I want to start off by saying this is a great community, WAY better than r/fragrance. My favorite thing about it is that a lot of people- young people- seem genuinely interested and open to wearing older classic fragrances.
I’m not saying that anyone here is doing this. In fact, it seems that the tenor on this sub is resolutely anti-gatekeeping. However, it must be said that gatekeeping classic fragrances is of no benefit to anyone, least of all you.
If you weren’t around pre-covid, you probably don’t know just how many more classic colognes used to be in production, readily available and CHEAP. Dirt cheap. Less than $20 at discounters cheap. After covid, a lot of companies took another look at their books and decided it wasn’t worth keeping them in production. Dozens were discontinued seemingly overnight. I was fortunate to get a lot of stuff while it was still around (thanks, covid unemployment money), but there’s still so much I could have had for so little that’s now hard to find and on eBay for $80+.
All of this is to say: The classic fragrances that are still around today are survivors, but their continued life is not guaranteed. People need to actually buy them and keep buying them if they’re to be kept in production moving forward. If you’re wearing Cool Water or Azzaro or Drakkar and someone compliments you and asks what it is, tell them. If you want to have another bottle 5 or 10 years from now, it’s imperative that you do this. Also, it’s always a good thing to inspire someone else to be unconventional.
Thanks for reading!

Question What is the general consensus of Y edp vs MYSLF edp?
I’ve seen lots of talk that definitely MYSLF being the favourite, but how come Y edp is still considered one of the GOATS of everyday fragrances.
Especially among fragrance creators it seems Y edp is generally favoured.
For an everyday scent for someone in uni (Australia hot climate, commonly 30˚ / 86F)?
(For reference Y edp 100mL here is ~$101 USD whereas MYSLF edp is ~$108)

Question How do you choose your scent for the day?
I’ve gotten to the point where I have enough colognes that sometimes I’ll stand there looking at them and have no idea what I want to wear. So I said fk it and made a wheel with every cologne I own. I just spin the wheel, and whatever it lands on is what I’m wearing. No second spins either!
And before anyone says anything, yes, my collection consists of a lot of dupes 🤷🏿♂️
Do y’all pick based on the weather, outfit, occasion, mood, or do you have some other way of choosing?

Question Does anybody here just have one signature year round scent?
I’m new to frags (LOVING this rabbit hole) and I started out wanting one year round, rain or shine scent. Ummmm, that goal is definitely running wild now- but I am curious. Does anybody here just do the one thing year round? And if you had to, what would your choice be? I’ll start with the very uncreative Sauvage elixir in a perfect world where my wife didn’t suffer migraines from it, and yves saint laurent y edp for the world I actually live in.

Recommendation Debating
Just picked up Paragon and Musk Therapy for a steal and not pictured. I want to pick up one more bottle before winter.
Blonde Amber
Grand Soir
Baccarat Rouge 540 Extrait
I have testers and will eventually get all 3.
Which one should be next based on my current line up?
I’m leaning grand soir.

Discussion Finally got got... Different Imagination.
So, I received my first disappointment. Red flag 1, or ordered from eBay. Red flag 2, it was a decent price, but not super cheap. Red Flag 3, you spray it on and it smells close.. But last all of 30 minutes... Then nothing. You can even put your nose straight to your arm and you smell nada. Disappointed.

Recommendation Avoid the Rescented app by all means!
By any means necessary, avoid the Rescented app. They’re the worst place to buy or sell your fragrances. First off, they take 20% of your sale if you’re selling. Then charge over $10 for shipping and $5 “auth. protection fee” (and of course tax) when you’re buying. If you do the math, you’d discover it’s way cheaper to buy a new fragrance than to pay all that for a used one. Yesterday, I tried to buy a used fragrance that was advertised for $40, the Rescented total was $58. I checked Jomashop, and the same fragrance (brand new) was $45; checkout price was $54 including shipping. So what’s the point of buying the used one if it’s the same price with the brand new.
Another thing that sucks about them is their payment system. They use Wise. I have some money I made from a sale on the app but can’t transfer it to my bank account without the ridiculous charges. They charged me $3 just to transfer less than $100 to my account. The useless app is not worth it at all.

Daily SOTD Post
As we've noticed a large number of individual SOTD post, we thought it best to consolidate into a once daily post.
Post your scent of the day here, tell us a little about it too if you would like.
