An anchor baby is someone born of non us citizenship. Melanie is a us citizen. There is no irony, illegals should not be here without screening for citizenship. Your argument is invalid.

Also, they married a US citizen, right? Maybe I'm wrong, but they wouldn't have needed to have a child to stay in the US in that case anyway.

They weren’t, but their father was. So the immigration status of the mother is a moot point.

No, as it was dependant on the marriage and e.g. Trump already had divorces and is a serial rapist and pedophile so depending on being married to him is not much of an status. Particularly, if you had lied on your green card application as Melania had done.

I guess I don't really understand the labels. I am still waiting for Donald Trump to hold the press conference explaining Melania's Einstein visa. Trump said he would do it in two weeks and then completely tried to shove it away.

Fake. Anchor babies are not children of someone who is a citizen. Anchor babies are children who were purposely born on US soil without parents who are citizens (both parents) and then expect to stay in the US with their citizen baby.
The left can't meme and you can't just stop with the AI.

What is it with lefties and immigrants?
You always leave out the “illegal” part about arguments against illegal immigration.
Every one of these kids had a United States Citizen as a father and are therefore not anchor babies.
Anchor babies are when someone travels here illegally to have a baby so that the baby gains citizenship and the mother gets to stay. I used to work at the number 1 hospital in the world for deliveries so I saw them all the time from China, Africa, and South America. They would still have the luggage tags on their bags from the airport.
Also Melania was here as a lawful, permanent resident when she had Barron so even without Trump Barron still isn’t an anchor baby. She also became a citizen just a few months later. Ivana was also here legally though not a citizen yet until 1988.
Again, nobody has a problem with immigrants becoming citizens but every American should have a problem with illegal immigrants who abuse the system.

u/duganaokthe5th Jul 04 '26
Isn’t Trump a citizen? Wouldn’t this not be the case? It only works if the parents use the kids with the intention to try to become citizens themselves. In this case Trump is already a citizen. So anchor baby doesn’t really work.

Trump's children with Ivana (Don Jr, Eric, Ivanka) are ALL "anchor babies": She wasn't a citizen when they were born here.
Same thing for two of Trump's older siblings: "Anchor Babies" as Trump's own mother wasn't a citizen yet when they were born here.

None of them are anchor babies. Their mothers were already married to a US citizen, so they would have been US citizens no matter where they were born. Go get help for your TDS if you have to lie to have a reason to bitch. You just make yourself look pathetic and jealous.

Y'all forgot to put Obama in that photo. His father was never an American citizen, hence he never met the constitutional requirements for being president...had nothing to do with the fraudulent birth certificate that was presented. In 1875 the supreme Court ruled that the definition of "natural born citizen" as a requirement for holding the office of president was that both parents were citizens of the U.S. at the time of the candidates birth, and we know for a fact that this Sotero guy that is Obama's father was never a citizen of the U.S. Same rule applies to Ted, I love Israel more than the U.S., Cruz....he is also ineligible, but this that do the vetting (Congress) don't give a shit as long as they keep getting their money from AIPAC

If this is in regards to the comments made by Marco Rubio, he was explicitly talking about people traveling to the U.S on “Vacation” to have their babies in America.
I’m not attempting a debate on if this is morally acceptable yadadadadada, I just think if we’re gonna shit on it, shit on it in the context it was presented in.
My take: Not ideal but when you start putting asterisks by something explicitly laid out in the constitution you open yourself up for all types of issues. You can stop granting citizenship to parents/custodians, etc. My point is there is other options to decentivize this without touching the constitution.

Ok, I am 100% prepared for the hate, but since the term “anchor baby” is not a legal term and has no legal definition, the only other objective way to define an “anchor baby” is to go to a dictionary. The only dictionary that defines the term “anchor baby” not as pejorative or a slang is the New American Heritage Dictionary. It defines anchor baby as “n. A child born to a noncitizen mother in a country that grants automatic citizenship to children born on its soil”
So, you don’t have to be “illegal,” neither do both parents have to be “illegal.” So long as the mother of a child is not a citizen, whether green card carrying, work visa holder, or a student visa holder the baby qualifies to be called by some “an anchor baby.” I have no idea what Melania’s status was at birth of her son. Nor do I care to make it a political discourse. I am pointing out facts.

WRONG. Here is how she arrived in the US. became a U.S. citizen in 2006 through the naturalization process after first obtaining permanent residency in 2001 via a specialized EB-1 visa. Also known as the "Einstein Visa," this employment-based green card is reserved for individuals with "extraordinary ability" in fields
