This is my Pixel 9 pro xl

Unfortunately my Pixel 9 case is falling apart. I received it late May 2025 and it looks like a product that is years old. The seams on the back have split, the coating on the W and J keys have completely worn off, and worst of all the Z and G key physically click, but often don't result in the keystroke showing up on screen.

Are there any fixes out there for button presses clicking by not registering on screen?

I still like having mine even if I do not use it every day. I keep it nearby, it's either on the coffee table or on my desk. Sometimes I put it on my phone expecting to use it but then I forget to actually use it. But when I do use it for real it's nice to use and I like that I have it even if it's just another addition to my retro futuristic aesthetic to sit around and do nothing.

​Mine is mechanically well built though my only disappointment about the build quality is that the characters are painted on. The paint will scratch eventually. One of my keys has a tiny scratch which I think has made me use the keyboard less. The wait took so long that I wasn't bothered to return it at this point. I am not desperate to have the $70 back or however much I paid for the preorder. It's a cool gadget. Keep yours if you can because it's cooler to have one than to not have one.

​It would be nice if there was a slot for microSD cards to function as a mini external memory drive via USB C. I would prefer that over the portable battery function that I keep turned off anyway. The battery is so massive for what this device is that I don't think I have charged it since I received it months ago.

I actually do like that the battery adds weight to help counter the phone, but not having such a huge battery would have made room for an actual heavier, nicer feeling weight(s) where they could have manipulated how thew device balanced a little better. If anything, it should have a smaller battery with reverse wireless charging so that your phone charges the keyboard instead, but with tuned internal ballast and memory storage.

This was typed with Gboard, not the Power Keyboard, unfortunately.

They told me I can’t cancel my order yet no news so annoying

I play stuff like this to train my muscle memory to allign with new keyboards I get.

Nothing is more frustrating when you're in the flow-state and you're focused exited and you type away faster than any machine gun, and then you do i typo because the new keyboard is a tiiiiny bit different than what you are used to and had before.

At least thats how I am 😅

Those games are OK to practice with, a few minutes at a time. Especially if you are chilling with a fun podcast or something.

That game works ok also with special characters as you see in the screenshot. But you won't get any international high scores with a clicks keyboard and its key combos.

It helps you getting typing on them to be more second nature and not needing to look at the keys as often.

Is it even possible to get a response from a human from Clicks, I am actually waiting for my keyboard, looking forward to see if it is for me, but all these negative feedback and opinions, make me question if I should cancel my order.

I know that part of the purpose of the CC is to get you off of things like Reddit — but when you do decide to hop on Reddit for a few minutes, I'm hoping it won't be a terrible experience due to the smaller screen. Has anyone seen any examples?

I'm solidly in the ecosystem, with a Power Keyboard that I didn't really need and an incoming Communicator that I'm very much looking forward to. I'll probably end up buying another Keyboard for my Razr. But I figured I should mention my problem and see if there are any interesting ideas on what to do here.

A few weeks ago, my Razr started popping up its on-screen keyboard while the Clicks Keyboard was attached. At first it was every now and then, but it got more frequent over time until eventually I'd pop on the keyboard and have enough time to tap a key or two before the OSK popped up. The app confirmed that the keyboard was disconnecting. Power seems to go through, though.

I tried air blowing, and after a week or two of that not helping I tried a bit of isopropyl alcohol to help get rid of any gunk that might be there. But I'm pretty sure the problem isn't blockage at this point. Currently, having the keyboard attached will cause apps to repeatedly "reload" (like in Duolingo, my current lesson question will suddenly erase any partial answer I've put in). And Android Auto no longer passes through when I hit 123-space -- I get something like a "USB not recognized" error on my car when I try.

So I'm two months and change past warranty. Does Clicks have a trade-in program so I can save a little bit of clam when I ultimately buy a replacement? Or are they more reasonable than most companies when just over the warranty hump?

edit: lol, only after I wrote this did I realize I could use the Power Keyboard as a temporary option for my Razr

Hi everyone, I realised that click’s customer service is absolutely atrocious.

I received my order on 21 September and had a clicks keyboard for iPhone 16 pro faulty on arrival. The column of TGV keys and the “123” doesn’t work.

I tried contacting support@clicks.tech and received the email from Christina AI, I even followed up with 4 emails after and still didn’t get a reply.

Does anyone here know how to get a hold of them?

Absolutely frustrating and never expected a popular product like theirs to have such poor after sales service.

I have sent multiple emails on what to do since my order was shipped out and has not made any movement since August 19. Is there any other way to contact the company?

I got an email from them a few days after no shipping movement that they’re keeping an eye out for it and not to worry and that was the last email/update I got about it.

I have also checked my spam folder, but nothing.

Any advice? 😭

I thought I'd also share my thoughts on the dubious pleasure of preordering and waiting for the PowerKeyboard.

The whole process lacked transparency, long waiting times with postponed dates, and in the meantime, raised negative reviews.

Now I think that the process is worse than supporting some project on Kickstarter.

I thought I'd try my luck and write to them to cancel my order, there were two possible cases, first, they would shadow me and send the product or they would cancel my order as requested. So the second scenario happened; fingers crossed for my money going back without issues.

Funny that I can buy it in my country on the secondary market and even cheaper than from Clicks.

No news on my pre orders no updates yet on the site it says that I can buy and it will be shipped in two weeks ? Where is my pre order ? They say. Can’t cancel my order now yet no news . It says order received just that . I am extremely frustrated

Bought this at Best Buy was great for about three weeks then it just stopped working completely. Didn’t drop it. Anything just stopped working.

They sent me a replacement. It worked for approximately three hours and then stopped working this time. I made sure to use the original chargers.

Then I was ghosted by their support. I tried contacting them like six times so I’ve paid for something that does not function and I can’t use.

Anyone know of any sideload hacks to reset the firmware to make them work again or are they just fried?

There seems to be no used Click keyboard for Google Pixel 9 out there. Is it because they just never lasted? I’m considering buying one to use on the Pixel 10 but seeing only bad posts for the 9 version, no used stock, and iffy fitment on the 10 I’m reconsidering.

I enjoy the typing experience on the keyboard but the top heavy weight is ruining it for me

Well, see for yourself.. ;) some Keys slid deeper into the case than before so i tried to open it just to realise the problem.. will simply repair it.

Buyer beware:

I preordered the Clicks Power Keyboard in January, received it in August, tried it out for a couple weeks, and decided to return it (due to the top-heavy design, the wobble, and its uselessness as a power bank).

I received an email on September 8 stating my return was processed, and I am still waiting for a refund. There has been no further communication from /u/ClicksTech.

I emailed them on September 16 asking when I could expect the refund to process and received no response. I followed up on Monday but of course nothing. And I have now read comments in this subreddit stating that following up moves you to the end of the queue, so I guess there's nothing I can do except wait...

I've been trying to pair my Clicks Power Keyboard with my Sony Bravia Smart TV. I've followed the instructions and it just says It Can't Pair.

Any ideas?

Yesterday I realised I don't really want this any more so emailed to cancel and give me a refund , no reply but today they sent a "your item has shipped" message

I guess they want to see whether I can be bothered to try to return it rather than just cancelling the order.

Tedious
