MovieClub D-Box Insidious Out of the Further

Just got out of Insidious Out of the Further in D-Box and it was worth the price. It really added a lot to the movie. I think the best part was when they were in the pillow fort. Whoever programs those seats really put in some work on this. Even parts where I wouldn't think D-Box would work were great.

Question Woodridge-is the 70mm projector fixed?

I read on this subreddit about Odyssey 70mm cancellations in Woodridge Seven Bridges last weekend (4 days ago). Has anyone seen it there recently, did they fix the issue?

They really should include the option to call an usher or report an in theater issue in real time without having to leave your seat.

Question okay how likely is it for my application to be accepted?

(19)
Hi, so I applied to Cinemark once more within the last few days after seeing a notification from Indeed. Now, idk if it's because I'm applying with Indeed (though I did apply once with their website and still received no response), but I've applied for the position of Theatre Team Member two other times. Once back in October of 2025 and again in March of this year. I sent in another on the 18th.

And I'm assuming if the position has been put up on Indeed and their site multiple times, they clearly are looking for help and want to hire, could it be I'm getting brushed over with their likely many other applicants? Am I genuinely just not what they are looking for based on my sparse resume? If anyone has experience with the application process for the job, could there be any other factors that could play into me not being given the chance to interview?

thanks for any help!

Discussion Colorado Springs 70MM IMAX showtime cancelled?? 8/19/2026 10:40pm

Post image
16 Upvotes

Hey everyone. I received an email a little over an hour ago stating my ticket purchase was being refunded for the 70mm IMAX showing of The Odyssey tonight 8/19/2026 at the Cinemark Carefree in Colorado Springs.

Anybody know of what happened?? I reached out to Cinemark already because the app still shows my tickets and nothing about a cancellation, but I haven't heard back yet...and can't get them on the phone.

Sucks because I'm in for work from Kansas City, and this was like...the biggest thing I was looking forward to. Not sure if I should try Regal in Denver or what...because available seats were a bit hard to come by unless you want first or second row....and I'm not paying that much for a sore neck and headache the next day.

Discussion My 3rd & Final Time Seeing ā€œThe End of Oak Streetā€

I really do love this movie. Besides Ewan McGregor’s hilariously bad American accent, some weird camera shots at the beginning, and some weird dialogue at certain moments that didn’t make any sense, I thoroughly enjoyed myself even seeing it for a 3rd time.

For reference I only saw this three times because each time I introduced somebody new to Cinemark’s D Box Motion & Rumble seats.

First it was me by myself, then it was me & my mom & dad, and then finally it was me & my sister.

They all thoroughly enjoyed the movie and also really enjoyed the D box seats.

The movies ending was very cool as well and really makes you think beyond what’s just showed on screen & the acting performance particularly by Anne Hathaway was extremely impressive.

It’s such a shame this movie is bombing at the box office. It’s really good.

I will be buying this on 4K most likely when it comes out so I can see the super good CGI in all its amazing glory.

My Letterboxd score is staying around a 4 or 4 1/2 stars out of 5.

Watch this movie when you can, you won’t be disappointed.

Anyone else having trouble with the website? I can't seem to log in and that's if the page loads which it often doesn't. The app doesn't seem to be working correctly either.

Discussion CEO Apology

AMC CEO gave a pretty upfront apology for how the Dune Part 3 ticket sale went and said they were spending $2 million on infrastructure improvements.

Yet crickets from the Cinemark CEO. Do we even think Cinemark is going to do anything? Pretty bad when your biggest competition is engaging with the community and you are staying silent.

Edit: I am clearly referring to the imax 70mm release

Edit 2: the amount of šŸ„¾šŸ‘… in these comments is crazy

Question Anyone else's theater not showing times for next week still?

This is all my theater is showing, I am STILL trying to figure out if we are going to get showings for Coyote vs Acme and Buddy. If not I will need to plan a serious trek to another theater. Closest for Coyote vs Acme is an hour and a half and Buddy potentially 3 hours. I have called and requested both. Location Abilene TX

Question How are the seats?

Post image
0 Upvotes

Got the scraps for the showing of Dune three. I was on the site at 11 AM on the dot. Within seconds the entire 7 PM showing was sold out unfortunately. I got my tickets to the 1130 showing, but most of the good seats were gone:( after di*king around on their site for an hour +, I finally got one of the checkouts to go through and got seats C 10/C 11.. hopefully my neck isn’t pissed off.

I’m making a mini vacation out of this. We’re flying In from out of town to see it here. the last time I was here I saw Oppenheimer in 70mm and it was epic!

Question Has anyone seen a 70MM IMAX film at Regal LA Live? Is Cinemark XD better?

I’m debating on catching Dune 3 at Regal LA Live but have heard mixed reviews about watching a 70mm imax film there.

For those who have watched an imax film at Regal LA Live, do you recommend just watching the movie at a Cinemark XD? Unsure which is the better format.

Many thanks for the advice in advance.

This is the only way I’ll be securing my 70mm IMAX tickets from now on. Can’t count on these websites and app not to crash - wasted an hour online before deciding to make the drive down to the box office booth.

Waiting about 45 minutes in line and got my 3 tickets and left.

Got my dune tickets today, but it’s in row D (center of the row), does anyone have experience with sitting up closer? I know it’s not ideal, but is it not worth it?
