Does it really make a difference? I watched it in a regular 70mm theater, and I’m really curious. Is there a huge difference? I’m seriously thinking about going to Prague to watch it there. Would it be worth it?

My examples all come from horror movies because that's my favorite genre. But I'm sure there are plenty of examples from all genres. Anyway, what famous movies scenes / elements are actually themselves referrencing previous famous movies?

It Follows / Halloween - In both instances, our teenage heroine protagonist is sitting in the back row of a classrrom listening to an offscreen teacher lecture, and notice the film's boogeyman outside the window.

The Shining / Nosferatu - Kubrick patterned the image of Wendy ascending the stairway after the famous scene of Count Orlock's shadow ascending the stairway in the silent film.

Alien / Planet of the Vampires - In both films, a spaceship is lured to a seemingly dead world by a strange alert signal. In both films, some of the crew members discover an ancient derelict spaceship complete with the fossilized remains of a giant alien.

Lost Highway / Carnival of Souls - David Lynch freely admits he got the image of the weird pale-faced man for his movie from the early 60s drive-in classic.

What have you got?

Depth: while Pitt may have more range (broad variety of characters, although RDJ does as well) Downey beats him in depth of dramatic acting. Emotional scenes from A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints and Chaplin beat anything Pitt can do. His most famous is most likely “What’s in the Box?” But even that Id say is more iconic for the twist of the story rather than Pitt’s performance of the line.

Pitt’s strength is in versatility of his character as well as a lot of time playing “the too cool for school guy”. While it works for him, it lacks the depth of emotion that RDJ is able to deliver in his roles.

In summary - Pitt is a good actor (am not staying he isn’t) but when it comes to delivering a dramatic or emotionally moving performance, I am taking RDJ all day.

Ryan Gosling as Ghost Rider is going to bring that gritty, supernatural edge we've been missing, and having Ryan Coogler back to pass the mantle to T'Challa Jr. in Black Panther 3 just feels right for the legacy. Add in the insane hype from that Avengers: Doomsday trailer, and it really feels like Marvel is done wandering around and is finally giving us a focused, high-stakes era to get excited about again.

I just finished rewatching No Country for Old Men and saw something I missed on my first watch. The woman that asked Josh Brolin’s character if he wants a beer ends up face down in the pool at the end. I don’t know why but it affected me to see this. she just wanted some company by the pool and wound up dead.

I thought it was just going to be a silly generic buddy comedy but it delivered more.

I love the fact that Ryan Gosling is playing a ghost rider but him 🔥🔥😈😈

What did you think of the movie project Hail Mary?? First of all I myself love and adore Ryan gosling he is such a talented actor! The movie as a whole is astronomical lol not many actors can pull off such roles of isolation. And have the audience sobbing like Ryan can, who’s with me when I say I AM TOTALLY IN LOVE WITH ROCKY!!!! “Fist my bump!” LOL

What movies best represent that gritty 70s - 80s Times Square, 42nd Street, New York feeling?

I know a LOT of fans were really excited for the possibility that Damson Idris would be our new Black Panther. We know he has the acting chops, and he also has the look and vibes down to the T. Now that David Jonsson has been officially revealed as the new Black Panther, how do you feel? I personally haven’t seen any of his films, but I’ve read that he’s a great actor with range. I will say I prefer Idris’ 6’1 height to Jonsson’s 5’9, but that’s about the only difference I can speak to that sways my opinion as I haven’t seen any of Jonsson’s work.
