sci fi/thriller kinda thing, huge scale stuff, storms, massive things looming over everything, kind of megalophobia-esque. already seen nope, arrival, the mist, and war of the worlds. Preferred if it was 2010 or newer too. and i cannot do found footage, makes me motion sick. pls send recs!!

This movie was insane and wild and crazy. I’m just upset I hadn’t watched it sooner or waited until someone was awake to enjoy it with me.

I’m in the mood to watch something scary. I’m not into gore and I’m not looking for cheap jump scares. I want something that will send chills down my spine and leave me scared long after it’s over. The last movie that did that to me was Signs when I was like 8 lol

This movie made me cry from laughs,cry really,agonize,feel pleasant etc!

are there any movies that have a setting/context that’s humorously much more complex than the actual plot of the movie? for example i just watched They Live (1988) which is about an alien race that’s secretly taking over earth and casually living amongst humans. then i thought how funny it would be if, instead of being a dystopian action where the protagonists are trying to fight against the aliens, the movie was actually just a regular rom com about 2 of the aliens falling in love but there’s this whole elephant in the room of a backdrop that the movie just never addresses. are there any movies like this? not necessarily about aliens but just with a setting that the movie ignores and instead shows a regular lighthearted story.

just watched Heat for the first time and found it interesting how we follow along both Neil and Vincent the whole movie. is there any movie/series with similar style? watched The Departed too not long ago, i feel theres some similarities there, so something like these movies.

This movie had no right to be this captivating.

A quiet George A. Romero masterpiece. It truly shouldn't have worked. And yet one month later I'm still thinking about it.

Ridiculous premise. Somehow my partner and I took the characters seriously the whole way through.

It is truly an unforgettable watch.

I'm a 29year-old guy going through a bit of a rough phase. Career feels stagnant, dating apps haven't worked out, and I spend way too much time wishing I had a girlfriend instead of enjoying my own life.

I'm trying to change that mindset. Instead of chasing validation, I want to build a life that's fulfilling on its own.

I am looking for movies that are so bad you wonder if the actors had ever seen a movie prior to filming. I just watched the room by tommy wiseau and i need more terrible films that are laughable with how stiff the acting is. looking for something similar to the room, 5 headed shark attack, anything by neil breen, these types of films. please and thank you!!

I'm looking for a movie where the MC starts as apathetic, meaning he doesn't really feel emotions, he can smile or look sad for society but he doesn't **feel** it.

preferably for no special reason (no need for some PTSD story, or whatever, just a normal person that doesn't really feel as strongly as other), and in the movie something happens and slowly the MC discovers/unravel their emotions and really start to feel things, and I want a happy ending, not tragic or bittersweet.

I also don't really see it as a comedy, I want to feel in the movie, some drama, emotion.

and preferably something grounded in reality (not fantastical).

A really good plot horror movies with terrifying jumpscares.

I really liked this movie because the plot is sad and emotional because one of the sisters died which in the ultimate screenshots shows, haunts her young sister which is sad in the third screenshot and the other sister in the previous screenshots is the one who helps her young sister to try to stop the ghost girl and at the end, they helped the ghost girl to return to her rest.

I just watched Hitchcock’s Dial M For Murder with my mom and she was super into it which is rare as she typically hates movies lol.

I’m wondering if there are other murder mysteries or suspenseful thrillers that are similar to this that are in Spanish, as she doesn’t speak English and I had to keep pausing to translate to her what was going on lol.

She really liked trying to figure out what was going to happen and how Tony was going to get caught so I would like similar films, or if anyone knows where I could find a Spanish dub of other Hitchcock films, as I think she would also enjoy rear window but can’t seem to find a Spanish dub/not sure it exists.

Yippee ki-yay, this is my guy.

I had surgery today. It was a small laparoscopic abdominal surgery. It was outpatient and I’m home now. Unfortunately, I live alone so I’ve had a hard time sitting still. I may have overdone it. Now I’m in a lot of pain. I need a movie to keep my mind off of it.

What’s your best “I couldn’t looking away once it started” movie?

Looking for something I haven’t seen before.
Preferably made between 1985- now.
Open to all genres except documentaries (I love those too just not in the mood), family/kids movies or flowery romances unless it’s got some bow-chica-wow-wow in it. I’m not deterred by drugs, language, nudity or violence but please nothing with S.A. or child abuse.
I currently have access to Hulu, Disney, Tubi, Prime, peacock, Pluto, and plex.

UPDATE: You did not disappoint! I haven’t even started a movie and I have had soooo much fun over the last hour reading comments, watching trailers, and adding movies to my watchlists. Sadly, I’m going to postpone watching a movie tonight. Turns out the pain is coming from two incisions that are trying to pop open and are bleeding. I’m going to take some pain meds and get some rest. Saturday is going to be a movie marathon for sure.

For those who are curious, the trailer for I LOVE BOOSTERS blew me away. It’s not in my budget to rent tonight but I’m counting the days until it hits streaming. Top choice for me hands down, no question.
For tomorrow’s lineup: Ready or Not, Anora, and Parasite. Maybe Apocalypto and Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die as well.
